This is a set of 11 stamps designed by Lori for only $14.99. This set is just so beautiful and has so much versatility. You can use it to make quick and easy cards, or really jazz it up for more detailed cards. I did one of each!

For the first card I stamped the image 3 different times in 3 different inks. I cut out each of the pieces I wanted for each of the different colors as you can see, and then layered them over the top of each other. This card uses colors from both lines of the Clearly Coordinating Cardstock, and I topped it off with a big bow made from some Tangelo Smoothie ribbon.

This next card was so fast and easy, I almost couldn't believe it! Other than embossing the Dahlia Nestabilities paper, the only 'crazy' thing I did to it was add some Stickles to it, haha. This was so fun, fast, and easy!

Paper: Cherry Go Round, Pineapple Twist, K & C Co. dp, Neenah Solar White
Accessories: Cherry Go Round ribbon, Dahlia Nestabilities, Victoria embossing folder, circle cutter, dimensionals, Xmas Red Stickles

'Keep it Super Simple' Card

. . .So that is exactly what I did. I don't know, I had a ton of fun challenging myself to keep this card very simple. Over at MFT Wednesday Stamp Club that was the challenge, and so I had to do it. I used my Chick Flick set that Christi gave me for my birthday, because I plan on slipping this in the mail with a little goodie for her, hehe. Shhhhh, don't tell. . .it's to keep her busy until her hubby gets back from Iraq.

I used a ruler and ever so lightly drew a line around the outside, so that I had a guide to follow when stamping the 'Rated BFF' around the edges. I stamped the tickets on Neenah Solar White, and then popped it up on a dimensional. I added a couple of Tiny Twinkles, and voila. . .a very simple card.

This card qualifies for 2 other challenges as well. Over at A Spoonful of Sugar we were challenged to do something 3D, and at Fab 'n' Funky you weren't allowed to use dp.
Stamps: Chick Flick (MFT)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark
Paper: Fossil Note Card, Neenah Solar White
Accessories: Tiny Twinkles, dimensionals
Copics: Y15, Y17

It's Clear Dollar Stamps sneak peeks time, so be sure to check out my other posts ;D

Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peek Day 1

It's Day 1 of the Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks, and I have some fun things to share! Not only is CDS releasing some amazing sets for May, but they are also adding to their Clearly Coordinating line of paper with another family of papers & ribbons called Spring Whispers. You will love the array of colors with the coordinating Copics and Tombows.

The set I am showing you today is called Vintage Spices and was designed by Laurie. It's a set of 9 for only $7.99. I chose to go the vintage feel for my first card, and the papers I chose matched so perfectly with my BG Lemonade paper.
CDS Stamps: Vintage Spices
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Barely Banana
Paper: Pineapple Twist, Sweet Cheeks, Neenah Solar White, BG Lemonade dp
Copics: E21, Y23, R20, BG72, R59
Accessories: sponge, Labels 4 & Oval Nestabilities, buttons, Pineapple Twist ribbon, dimensionals

As you can tell with my next card I went a little spicier, haha. Yes, the pun was intended ;) I love that this set has peppers in it, hehe. I used the Summer Fun paper line from CDS for the bold and bright colors of the peppers.
CDS Stamps: Vintage Spices
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Basic Gray, Summer Sun
Paper: Cherry Go Round, Tangelo Smoothie, Lime Juice, Neenah Solar White
Copics: R29, YR07, G05
Accessories: sponge, Inverted Scallops & Circle Nestabilities, Bee Pollen ribbon, dimensionals, corner rounder

There is certainly more to see from the rest of the amazing DT, so head on over to their blogs: Trudy, Nancy, Stacy, Laurie, Angela, Katie, Kim, Linda B., Candy, Sarah G., Tracy, Rebecca & Sarah

A Sheltering Tree

It's been a rough morning. I had to take our dog in for an ultrasound, and we found out she needs surgery to remove some marble sized stones. The kids are distraught about it, but I know she'll be all right. It just makes me sad for our little Lolli. I did come home to find that my husband had started school with the kids, which really made things a bit better. He's so supportive, and I felt so blessed that he could be here this morning.

Anyway, I made this card last night with a couple of challenges in mind. It uses a new set from MFT called Sheltering Tree. I love whimsical tree stamps, and this one was no exception. I used the sketch from Get Sketchy, and I had the Pink Elephant's aqua challenge in mind as well.
Stamps: Sheltering Tree (MFT)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Tea Dye Distress Ink, Bermuda Bay, Certainly Celery
Paper: Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, buttercream, Cosmo Cricket Early Bird dp
Accessories: Copics, sponges, lace, circle punch & circle cutters

Cupcake Box Tutorial

Katie, over at ClearlyiStamp has a really great tutorial for a cupcake box that you won't want to miss! Plus, Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks start tomorrow! I'm so excited to share what I've been working on this month, so be sure to head back here tomorrow ;D

A card for Friday's VSN

I have been wanting to participate in a Virtual Stamp Night ever since I did the last one almost 2 years ago over at Splitcoaststampers. Sadly, I was only able to make one card, but I'm very happy with the way it turned out. The challenge I participated in was the Mae's Joy challenge. We were challenged to make a Joy Fold card with red, bling, and diva worthy. I think mine's diva worthy, because only a diva would bake in a black dress, haha. This also qualifies for the paper piecing challenge over at Wild Flower Patch, and the ink distressing challenge over at Tellen's Place. Over at Raise the Bar the challenge was to use your favorite colors, so I used red ;D
Stamps: Lovin' from the Oven (MFT)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Tea Dye Distress Ink
Paper: Basic Black, Le Creme DCWV, October Afternoon Report Card, Neenah Solar White
Accessories: sponges, Copics, pearls, Xmas Red Stickles, dimensionals

Taylored Expressions Sketch 110

It's Friday, and the kids are cranking out their school work so they can go outside and enjoy the heat, haha. With them reading and doing math, I had some time to sneak away and make a card. I made this for the Taylored Expressions Sketch. I used my Key Ingredients kit along with my Downtown Diva set.
This close up pictures are of the Tiny Twinkles I used with a really cool tool called the Embellie Jellie. . .LOVE it! It makes it so much easier to put the little embellishments down. (I bought them from Taylor's store)
Stamps: Downtown Diva (TE)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Chocolate Chip
Paper: buttercream, Material Girl Cosmo Cricket
Accessories: Copics, Circle & Scallop Circle Nestabilities, sponge, Swiss Dots embossing folder, KI ribbon, window punch, Tiny Twinkles, dimesionals

If you're looking for more challenges, be sure to check out the Clearly Inspired Challenge that started today. I have a post on it down below ;D

'All Tied Up' over at CIC

We are 'All Tied Up' over at the ClearlyiStamp challenge blog! Since Clear Dollar Stamps debuted their new Summer Fun line in the Clearly Coordinating Collection of papers which included some delicious ribbon, we're using ribbon as our challenge. I figured what better way to showcase the ribbon than to pair it up with a new April release set called Blooming with Blessings!
I'm telling you, I love everything about the Summer Fun line. Their ribbons match their cardstock so wonderfully, and those papers work so well to emboss and layer. Oh, and just LOOK at that ribbon! Mmm, I tell you. . .but then again I tend to horde ribbon, hehe ;)
CDS Stamps: Blooming with Blessings
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Basic Gray
Paper: Neenah Solar White, Turquoise Gem, Sweet Pea, BG Lime Rickey
Accessories: Copics, white gel pen, Labels 1, Labels 10, & Circle Nestabilities, sponge, oval cutters, rhinestones, Swirls embossing folder
Ribbon: Cherry Go Round, Tangelo Smoothie, Bee Pollen, Sweet Pea, Turquoise Gem, Still Waters, & Grape Jelly

Here are the basic details for our challenges, they are sweet and simple and

one of you will definitely go away with a prize.

  • These challenges will occur every other Friday

  • Challenges will vary each and every time

Happy Earth Day

It seemed only fitting with today being Earth Day that I use this awesome tree set from Taylored Expressions called Branching Out. I've learned recently that I keep saying that I'm a 'sucker for' this or that. . .well, I must just be a sucker, haha. I am also a sucker for tree stamps, so I had to have this one ;D This card has been sitting on my desk most of the morning into this afternoon waiting to be finished, because we've had a million things to do today. I managed to crank it out right before we'll be leaving the house for the rest of the afternoon. The sketch comes from Creative Inspirations. I also did some sponge distressing, which was for the Crafty Creations challenge.
Stamps: Branching Out, Branching Out Coordinates (TE)
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Melon Mambo, Sweet Pea dp, Neenah Solar White
Accessories: Copics, brown stitch ribbon, circle cutter, sponge, Tiny Twinkles (TE)

Thinking of Hoo

I've been a little challenge crazy lately, which is a good thing right?! I made this card for several challenges once again.

It's time for the Wednesday Stamp Club over at MFT, so I just had to participate. The challenge was to create something representative of Earth Day, or to use one of the MFT tree stamps, or to use the new digi paper they have called Sheltering Tree. I used the digi paper (because I am a sucker for cloud dp), and I used the Thinking of Hoo set.

This card also qualifies for these challenges:

Simon Says -- Things with Wings
Little Red Wagon -- ruffles

Stamps: Thinking of Hoo
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Sheltering Tree digi paper, Neenah Solar White, Sahara Sand
Accessories: Top Note Bigz Die, red ribbon, sewing machine, yellow buttons

A Magical Pink Elephant

I have really been having some fun messing around with my new Blooming with Blessings set from Clear Dollar Stamps. I made this using the new Ultra Fine Microbeads that Lori has started carrying in the store. They are sooooo cool, and really give such a beautiful look! I made this with three challenges in mind:

Pink Elephant -- sketch
Magical Crafts -- 'Something for the Girls'
ABC Challenge -- Sparkle
CDS Stamps: Blooming with Blessings
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: kraft, Green at Heart BG
Accessories: double sided tape sheet, Ultra Fine Microbeads, Circle Nestabilities, buttons, linen thread, Lime Juice ribbon (CDS), green rhinestones

Tuesday Morning Sketch

I opened some fun mail from my bff, Christi, and low and behold the Skipping Stones set called Funny Coffee Vol #1 was in that package! I was so shocked and excited that I got to creating right away! You guessed it, I made this for Christi. I used the Tuesday Morning Sketch for some inspiration, and one of my previous Key Ingredient kits from Taylored Expressions.
Stamps: Funny Coffee Vol #1 (Skipping Stones)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: March KI (TE)
Accessories: March KI (TE), corner rounder, Large Pinking Circle & Labels 11 Nestabilities, Copics

Rainy Day

It's raining off and on here, but we can't complain. The weather has been wonderful. I sat in my craft cave for a bit today, and created away. I made this for 4 different challenges:

ColourQ #29: Bravo Burgundy, Tangerine Tango, Yoyo Yellow, Green Galore
CDS Stamps: Bless My Bloomers
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Creamy Caramel
Paper: Bravo Burgundy, Neenah Solar White, Lime Juice (CDS), Bee Pollen (CDS)
Accessories: Copics, Tangelo Smoothie twill ribbon (CDS), Labels 1 Nestabilities, sponge, Victoria & Stylized Flowers embossing folders

I used the stamp set from Clear Dollar Stamps called Bless my Bloomers, because I just love that set. It's so clever! I also used papers from their new line called Clearly Coordinating, which I simply love. This Summer Fun family is a bit lighter in weight so it is PERFECT for layering and embossing.

A CDS Teacher Appreciation Tutorial

Katie over at ClearlyiStamp for Clear Dollar Stamps has a GREAT tutorial for teacher appreciation gifts!

Praying for you

It's Monday, and things have been in full swing here at the house. Our bean and corn project is going quite well in Science, and the kids are enjoying seeing the difference between and monocot and dicot seeds and how they grow. Maybe I'll get chance to post a couple of pics of the process.

My card today is for 4 different challenges. Whew! I am really tackling the challenges and so thankful for them. They keep my mojo going, and I love seeing how different everyone interprets them. I used the colors from the Curtain Call: Basic Gray, Going Gray, Crushed Curry, and white. I used the sketch from Card Patterns, the 'thinking of you' theme from For Fun, and 'Something Layered' from Stamp Something.

The set I used is called Blooming with Blessings from Clear Dollar Stamps. It was designed by Lori, and is an April release. I love the versatility and the Christian spin it uses. It has butterflies, blooms, and umbrellas in it!
CDS stamps: Blooming with Blessings
Ink: Crushed Curry, Basic Gray, Going Gray

A 3-fer

In my previous post I mentioned that I received my Taylored Expressions KI kit. I've obviously been having a blast just creating away with that baby. It goes perfectly with Crafty Cuppie! I got a bit of inspiration from Taylor's card to cover the dress form with some dp. . .I just loved it.

I made this card with 3 challenges in mind:

Accessories: April KE kit, Labels 11 Nestabilities, oval punch, Copics, corner rounder, Argyle embossing folder

Taylored Expressions Sketch 109

Happy Sunday to you all! I've been productive in my craft cave after a wonderful morning at church. I should have been doing other things, but I just really wanted to craft. Yesterday my Key Ingredients kit came in the mail from Taylored Expressions, and I've been eager to make some stuff with my goodies. I ordered myself Beach Bum Cuppie and a few other things with some birthday money from Grandpa-in-law. I plan on sending one of these creations to show my appreciation :)

I actually made both of these for the Taylored Expressions Sketch #109 over at Taylor's blog. I didn't know which one I like better, but now that I see them on my computer, I think I like the first one. Both use papers form my KE kit and my Beach Bum Cuppie. . .he's so darn cute!

Raising the Bar with a Simon Says Sweet Sketch

My bff, Christi, and I were talking th other day and decided to do a couple of challenges together. As if doing a couple of challenges together weren't enough, we decided to challenge ourselves with of few of our own challenges, haha. The official challenges we joined were the Raise the Bar 'Movie Mania', and the Sweet Sketch Wednesday. This card also qualifies over at the Simon Says challenge blog for 'Movies & dry embossing.' We both have this MFT set called Chick Flick, and we both have the Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety paper. . .so, yup you guessed it. . .our challenges to ourselves were to use the same set and paper without knowing what the other would be creating. We crack each other up! As soon as I'm done posting here, I'm heading over to her blog to see her card. Wouldn't it be hilarious if we came up with the same card, haha?! (I couldn't help it with that chick paper, since I was using that sentiment and that set ;D )

WSC for MFT

How's that for acronyms?! My husband is in the army, so he often speaks in acronyms, haha. This is my card for this week's Weekly Stamp Club over at the My Favorite Things blog. The challenge was 'April Showers', or the layout, or a handmade embellishment. I don't have any MFT stamps that would qualify as 'April Showers', so I attempted to follow the sketch. I definitely put my own spin on the sketch, so for safe measure I used one of my crocheted flowers.
Stamps: Blooming Good Day (MFT)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Sahara Sand, Neenah Solar White, unknown SU dp
Accessories: Copics, crocheted flower, button, linen thread, Spica Silver pen

Another Digi from CDS

I showed you a digital sneak yesterday for Clear Dollar Stamps, and today you're seeing the other image that CDS will be releasing tomorrow. Laurie Wilson designed this adorable Praying Bird, and it comes with 3 sentiments. Is that not precious and just plain perfect?! I love all of Laurie's bird images, so I just had to have this to go along with the rest. Just like yesterday, I paired the image up with colors from CDS's new line of colors called the Clearly Coordinating line. There are Tombows and Copics to match the line! I used Turquoise Gem, Bee Pollen, and Lime Juice to go with my sweet Praying Bird.
CDS Images Used: Praying Bird

Is that not one of the most clever little images you ever did see?! She is also releasing 2 new digis today as well! A Pixie Cottage Sketch

This is the LAST post of the day, I promise, hehe. This sketch is the sketch challenge over at the Pixie Cottage. I used one of Laurie's freebie digi images from the Doodle Pantry called Tweet House. The challenge over at the Pixie Cottage was to use their sketch and do some embossing, either dry or wet. I used my Birds & Swirls embossing folder on the background panels.

Accessories: Copics, corner rounder, Birds & Swirls embossing folder, little paper flowers, mini brads, oval cutter

I'm back again with a couple of challenges. I used one of Laurie Wilson's images from the Doodle Pantry from the set Branch Birds. That little bird is just so darn cute! Over at Laurie's blog she has a once a month Clearly Delightful Blog Challenge, and this month the challenge was to use yellow and dry embossing. I chose to combine it with the Little Red Wagon sketch this week.

Paper: Neenah Solar White, Early Bird dp
Accessories: Large Labels Nestabilities, Scallop Edge punch, sponge, chocolate brads, Argyle embossing folder

Raise the Bar & Pink Elephant Challenge

Happy Thursday everyone! I had some fun with this card! I painted both of my blue and green cardstocks with white paint. After they were dry I sanded them down. The blue piece was put through the Cuttlebug, and the green piece was inked with green ink over the paint. I thought I would just try something new, and I like the result. I sponged the sun, which is where the Raise the Bar challenge comes in. . .weather. . .it's sunny with rolling clouds! Even though I already made a card for the Pink Elephant, I thought I would put this in for the nature theme too! I used a new Clear Dollar Stamps set called On the Road Again.

Mojo Monday with new CDS papers!

My second post of the day. . .I told you I was going to get some serious crafting in for my birthday! I made this for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I loved the sketch and just yesterday more of my Clear Dollar Stamps goodies came in the mail! Instead of making a card, I decided to cover this journal. I had never covered a journal that was not spiral bound before, but thought I would give it a try. As many of you know, Clear Dollar Stamps just recently started releasing their own line of papers with ribbons to match. This line is called Summer Fun, and matches perfectly with Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety dp. I've been wanting to make myself a food journal, to simply record what I eat from day to day. I think this will at least help me to make wiser choices if I actually see what I've eaten written down. The new line of paper isn't quite as heavy as normal cardstock, which makes it PERFECT for layering. I just love the result!

I'm sure you'll see a lot more very soon done with the new line of colors from CDS. They are so wonderful and vibrant! The set I used for this project is called Veggie Stew from CDS and is PERFECT for this paper!

Midnight Madness with the Color Chef

Today is my birthday, and I am feel quite grateful! The day has been filled with well wishes from friends and family, and I've gotten some lovely gifts too. My BFF, Christi, has been my stamping and deployment buddy for a few years now, even though she lives far away. She's enduring the tail end of a deployment right now. She sent me some awesome gifts, because she knows me so well. I got a box of envelopes, because she found them on super sale and we both LOVE a sale. She also sent me this MFT set called Chick Flick along with my newest Nestie, Labels 13! She's the best!

I made this for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge, and for the Color Chef. The colors over there were Black, Dark Gray, Turquoise, Yellow, & White.
Stamps: Chick Flick (MFT)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: March KI Kit (TE), Neenah Solar White, Basic Black, Basic Gray

A little Nature for my Sister

During sneak peek week, I showed you a bookmark that I made for my sister. There was a story to why my kids call her 'Aunt B' even though her name is Melanie. Well, along with the bookmark I am sending her this Clear Dollar Stamps Charlie Bee Happy card. I know she'll get a kick out of it, and I know she'll appreciate it. It's a nature card, so I'm submitting it to the Pink Elephant challenge #61, which was nature themed.

The clouds were made with one of my Nesties. I then sponged the outsides with Baja Breeze ink and used Versamark ink all over them. While it was wet and before I heat embossed it, I sprinkled them with a mixture of clear embossing powder and Dazzling Diamonds glitter. I totally love the look that gives.
CDS Stamps: Charlie Bee Happy
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Baja Breeze, Versamark
Paper: Neenah Solar White, Real Red, October Afternoon Farm Fresh
Accessories: Copics, Labels 6 Nestabilities, sponge, clear embossing powder & dazzling diamonds glitter, dimensionals, red dew drops

Thanks for stopping by today. I'm sure to have more to share tomorrow, because it will be my birthday and I'm allowing myself TONS of crafting time, hehe ;D
