Spring into Organization

I'm always in need of notebooks around here, because I just seem to write everything down.  I like to be organized as well, so I have a LOT of decorated notebooks around this house, haha.  Here is my latest one that I made for the Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Subscriber Challenge, which was 'Spring into Organization'.

I love my subscriber set called Vintage Dreamer.

I ended up making tabs out of one of the stamps that matches the From the Heart Frame Die that TE has.  I love way they look with the decorative brads that came with my TE KI Kit.

Stamps:  Vintage Dreamer
Ink:  Vintage Photo Distress Ink, SU Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Blush Blossom, Ridinghood Red
Paper:  March TE KI Kit
Accessories:  TE From the Heart Frame Die, EP Decorative Brads, notebook, foam tape, sponge, ribbon from the March TE KI Kit

Luke 1:37

Hey everyone!  It's been a few days since I posted or even created anything, but I'm here today.  Some of you know my saga with my shoulder, and sadly, that has kept me from creating recently.  My doctor gave me the go ahead to do what I would like as long as it didn't hurt, and I've basically been sitting idle for over a year, so I ran with it.  Apparently using an electric sander is not on the list of approved activities and no one told me that it was one of the worst things for a labrum repair:  two steps forward three steps back.

Regardless, I am here with a card this morning.

I used a couple of sets on this card.  I used a digital image from Clear Dollar Stamps called Pansy, which is the February Flower of the Month.  I also used a clear stamp called Luke 1:37 from the Scripture line of stamps at CDS.

I made this card for 2 different challenges.  It was made for the Splitcoaststampers CAS challenge, which was a photo inspiration, and for the Cheerful Stamp Pad's Anything Goes challenge.

Stamps:  Pansy digi, Luke 1:37
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  unknown green, BG Sweet Threads
Accessories:  Prismacolor & gamsol, sponge, corner chomper, cream brads, foam tape, Green Spica pen, Buttercream liquid pearls

Thanks for stopping in today.  I'm hoping to have some more to show later this week :)

TESC #155 -- Easter Joy

Like all of you, I love Fridays for so many reasons!  It's the start of the weekend, it represents our family night, AND it's time for another new Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge since it's the 3rd Friday of the month!  Here are the deets for the challenge:

We will select one featured stamper who will be awarded "Top Chef" honors. Your design and blog will be featured on Taylor's blog during the following week's sketch challenge.

Here's everything you need to know in order to participate:

1. Create a card using the sketch as inspiration. Feel free to switch up the shape or size of your card. As long as your project follows the general sketch, you’re good to go! You may play as many times as you want. Each upload will be entered into our weekly drawing, so the more you create - the better chance you have of winning the PRIZE!

2. Upload your project to Taylor's blog, using In Linkz before 8pm PST on Thursday, April 5th. If you also choose to upload your creation to online galleries (like over on SCS), use the keyword TESC155

3. You’re not required to use TE Stamps on your project, but we love it when you do! And if you’re drawn as our weekly winner and you’ve used TE Stamps on your project you’ll get a little sumpin’ sumpin’ extra (see below)!

The PRIZE!!

1. We will randomly select one person from all of the challenge uploads to receive a $10 gift certificate to the TE Store!

2. If you used predominantly TE Stamps on your project you’ll receive an extra $10 bonus for a total $20 gift certificate to the TE Store.

Now onto my card:

I decided to make my card more horizontal and I used the darling Easter Joy stamp set along with my March Key Ingredients kit.  My main image uses the Frame It Up 1 Die, and I added some flourishes with my Cream Viva Pearl Pen.  Notice that the background uses the Damask Impressions Plate as well :)

 Stamps:  Easter Joy
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Paper:  March TE KI Kit
Accessories:  Copics YR21, YR23, EP Decorative Brads (from the March TE KI Kit), TE Houndstooth/Damask Impression Plate, TE Frame It Up 1 Die, circle punch, Cream Viva Pearl Pen, sponge

Happy Sunday everyone, and welcome to the Clear Dollar Stamps Sunday Blog Hop!  You should have made your way here from Lisa's blog, but if you didn't you'll want to head over to Lori's blog so that you don't miss a thing.  The DT's challenge this month was:

Spring is in the Air!

That really seems to be the case around here, and I'm really not complaining :)  I used the set called Christian Friendship from CDS's Clearly Christian line of clear stamps.  I know that Mother's Day is not until May, but this Springy paper just screamed Mother's Day to me.

Here's a closer look at that beautiful sentiment:

Stamps:  Christian Friendship
Ink:  Pearl Thyme Brilliance
Paper:  EP Country Drive, CDS Cottonball White, Bazzill Razzleberry Light & Classic Yellow Green
Accessories:  Circle & Peony Nestabilities, gems, EP stickers, rhinestone brad

Your next stop in this fun hop is Jennifer's blog.  Be sure to leave comments along the way to be eligible to win the awesome prize that CDS is offering up. . .a $25 gift code for digital images to the CDS Store!

The next two cards were made from the set called Nesters.  There are so many possibilities with this great set, you will certainly want to add it to your collection!  I did some more paper piecing with these two little baby cards.

Way to Go!

I haven't had an opportunity to participate in the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge in a while, so I thought it was time.  I caved and bought the most recent kit called the Zoo Kit.  I knew I'd use all of the goodies in the kit, so it seemed like a 'no brainer' to me :)

I was inspired by the outlined flowers in the beautiful picture that Kim posted.  In keeping with that, I stamped each of the darling zoo animals in a particular color and then only colored in a small portion of the image.  This card certainly was fun to make, because I also had my nephew in mind who is headed to Illinois State Wrestling this weekend.  I'm so proud of him, and while this card won't make it up there in time I wanted him to know how proud we are :)
Stamps:  Zoo Crew & Sentiment Sampler
Ink:  SU Island Indigo, SU Crushed Curry, SU Lucky Limeade, Memento London Fog, Memento Potter's Clay, Black Soot
Paper:  TE Buttercream, CDS Worn Parchment
Accessories:  felt jungle leaf, Kraft twine, button, foam tape, Copics

Thanks for stopping in!

March SFYTT

As usual I'm battling some kidney stones and need to leave for the doctor soon.  However, before I left I wanted to be sure and post my entry for the March SFYTT.  I used a set I won from There She Goes Stamps called Ba Donkey Donk.  This set just cracks me up, and I was beyond thrilled that I won it!  If money were limitless I'd certainly own a ton more of their stamps :)  I paired it all up with my January TE KI Kit, which has some great vibrant colors.

Stamps:  Ba Donkey Donk
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  Jan TE KI Kit
Copics:  RV000, RV02, BG01, BG05, BG07, YG01, YG03, & airbrush
Accessories:  corner chomper, SU Oval & Scalloped Oval punches, Curved Rectangle & Labels 4 Nesties, green sparkly ribbon, foam tape

Thanks for stopping in today!

MFTWSC61

This will be fairly short an sweet, since I have lots to do this afternoon.  I got an opportunity to make a card yesterday for the MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge.  I used this darling little PI girl from MFT called Being Cute is What I Do.  That little sweetie reminds me of my daughter, and she certainly does make my world happy.  I flipped the sketch, and used my new Dilly Dally paper from MME.

I also had a ton of un making pleats on her little shirt.  I still have a lot of work to do in that particular Copic area, but it was fun to try.

Stamps:  Being Cute is What I Do.
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Vintage Photo, SU Crumb Cake, SU Craft White
Paper:  TE buttercream, MME Dilly Dally
Accessories:  Copics, foam tape, Labels 17 Nesties, white embossing powder, MFT Rolled Rose Die-namics, red ribbon

I've been quite down lately for whatever reason, but I know there is much to be thankful for.  I'm choosing today to praise Him anyway.  Thanks for stopping in.
