Tuesday Trigger -- You're the World

 Hey there, crafty friends!  I've been resting and working on a few things for September, so it's been a bit quite on the 'ol blog front.  I do have something from this week's Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World.

I inked up the darling Happy Hexagons & Out on a Limb Sentiments from Papertrey Ink.  It is a super pretty inspiration piece that Cath picked out, and I was inspired by color and the softness.

MIM #80 -- Sunshine Garland

I made my way into the 'craft cave' to make a little something for Make it Monday over at Papertrey Ink.  The challenge was to make garland, and I really wanted to try it with this darling set called Heart-2-Heart #6.  It's a pretty simple card, minus the making of the garland, which was pretty simple anyway.

PTI August Blog Hop

As soon as I saw the August inspiration over at the Papertrey Ink blog a while back, I knew I had to join in the fun.  The inspiration pictures were so rich and beautiful.

I used my lovely Life is Sweet set along with Library Card to create mine.  I used the colors and attempted to get the textures that I associate with the inspiration.  I wanted a weathered and rough feel to my card, so I crumpled my cardstock and then ran the ink pad over the top.  I love that look.

CIC58 -- Circles

Hey everyone!  I didn't get a chance to post a card for the Clearly Inspired Challenge last Friday, but I do have a card to show you now.  While I've been laid up, I've created a couple of things :)

The challenge for the CIC is Circles. . .so I incorporated a bunch of circles in my card and used the darling featured digi, Hoot Hoots from Clear Dollar Stamps.

It feels like it's been a while. . .

I'm half laying down, half sitting up, so I'm not sure what you call that.  I've been away unexpectedly, so I'll give you the quick run down.  Some of you know that I am a kidney stone producer (yay me), and for a few weeks now I've actually been having some lower back pain from what I deduced to be a stone.  Turns out, I was right.  I went in last Wednesday to make sure it hadn't turned into more, and I ended up going in for the stone extraction, stent insertion early Thursday morning.  Unfortunately, my husband is out of town all week, and I'm pretty much bed ridden because my body is despising this stent.  Sitting or standing for long periods does not agree with me.  

I actually made this card a couple of weeks ago, but I'm having such horrible crafting withdrawals, that I had to post something.  It's not for a challenge, or anything in particular.  I just wanted to make something with this darling little PTI hexagon set.

Here's a little secret.  I hadn't planned on popping any of the hexagons up, but I screwed up my stamping pattern.  I think the screw up worked in my favor ;)

I may attempt to craft today after we get done with school for the day, but we'll see how I'm feeling by then. Thanks for stopping by!
