Taylored Expressions: Tag-a-Long Valentine

Happy Monday!  We are on the way home from a wonderful trip to CA to visit my in-laws, but I wanted to make sure a schedule this fun card to show you.  It uses some great new products from Taylored Expressions:  Tag-a-Long Valentine with the matching die and the Twirls & Swirls embossing folder.  I stayed fairly simply with this card so I could focus your attention on the great new products.

Thanks for stopping in today!  Check out all of the new products I used in the TE Store:

Pixie Toppers

Happy Monday, peeps!  I'm hope you're all enjoying getting ready for the Holidays. . .reflecting on family & friends, togetherness, and the real reason for it all.  I've been working ahead on some Valentine's projects using some Taylored Expressions goodies, and these little guys will be a win with my kids and their friends for sure.  I used a couple of new little dies from the Little Bits die collection called Stamp of Approval and Light Bulb.

Both use the Pencil Topper die and the Skinny Mini Borders dies, which fit pixie sticks so perfectly.  The Stamp of Approval die was paired up with Big Bold Valentine.

The Light Bulb die was paired up with one of the past Petite sets called Light Up My Life.  These turned out great!

I'm off to get a few more Christmas things prepped.  Thanks for stopping in!

Color Throwdown #323 -- Missing You

Happy Saturday!  I love that I've found a bit more time to craft lately!  I was inspired by this week's Color Throwdown challenge #323 and some new products from Taylored Expressions.  Serisously, have you checked out the NEW products from TE?  Great stuff, I tell ya ;)

This card is pretty simple.  I used the Pieces of My Heart with a Coordinating die along with a banner from Build a Tag 1 die.  The background was made by splattering some white paint with a toothbrush, and the heart was made with watercolor paper and distress inks.

Thanks for stopping in and checking my project out.  Here are the links to the products I used:

December's Studio Calico Card Kit

Hey Everyone!  I hope you're having a wonderful Friday!  We have plans to make snacks and watch Christmas movies tonight with the kids.  It's something we look forward to every year.

Yesterday I received my first Studio Calico Card Kit in the mail.  If you've been to my blog much, y'all know I love a good card kit.  This is a great one!  I came with a lot of wonderful supplies.  This particular kit is a bit on the pricey side once you add in the shipping, but the contents are very good.  This one came with a stamp set, 4 sheets of cardstock, a 6x6 pack of designer papers, 3 kraft treat bags in a vellum pouch, a sheet of green stickers, a pack of enamel dots,  a wood veneer taxi, a roll of Christmas washi tape, and some purple string.

I was inspired by the Deconstructed Sketch #181.  I used a couple of things outside of the kit, like versamark ink, Distress embossing powder, and a die from Taylored Expressions; Label Stacklets 9 die.  The think I like most about this set, is that I really have nothing like it, which was hard for my husband to believe ;)

All right, well I'm going to get moving on prepping some snacks for movie night!  Y'all have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping in!

Christmas Spirit

Hey there, friends!  I'm feeling so productive, because last night I spent a good amount of time organizing my craft space.  Since being on the crutches I've only really gone down there to make a few things when needed, because it was such a chore to physically get myself down there.  Once I was down there, I better be sure I didn't need anything upstairs because I wasn't going anywhere, haha.  However, I am getting around much better on the crutches and even put some weight on my leg.  It's amazing to me that after 8 weeks of no weight bearing how ridiculously weak my leg is.  Now I KNOW I'm not 16 anymore ;)

I rewarded myself after organizing by making several things.  I don't mind a creative mess, but mine was out of control and now I feel very encouraged and even inspired!  This card I made was inspired by the ColourQ along with the new Simon Says Winter Inspiration challenge.  I used a lot of great goodies from Taylored Expressions:  Tag Stacklets 2 die, Tag Reinforcements die, On Dasher On Dancer die. City Skyline die, Deck the Halls stamp, as well as TE Matched papers.  Because I didn't have the exact colors that the ColourQ asked for, I used some distress inks and sponges to try and make a match.  I'm super pleased with how it came out!

Not only did I make a card, but as I was snapping the pictures of it, I saw this cute little bird out our bird feeder just hanging out.  I couldn't help but snap a picture of it.  Notice our grass is still green. . .where is all of the Midwest snow that I was used to when growing up?!

Thanks for stopping in.  Here are the links to all of the fabulous products I used from the TE store:

Taylored Expressions: Tag-a-Long Valentine

Happy Monday, crafty peeps!  With Christmas cards sent and 99.8% of the presents bought, I've been in the mood for Valentine's cards.  Taylored Expressions just released some amazing new products that fit the bill for all things love, so I'm showing you the new Tag-a-Long Valentines and the Build a Tag 2 dies.  How fun would it be to send of these along in a lunch attached to a juice?!

I tend to color most cat images like a Siamese, since my cat, Nik, is one.  I love that TE has the Matched line of products, so making these tags with the newest kit called Formula for Love was a cinch.

I also tend to color most dogs like my own ;)

And making this shaker tag was fun too!

I really love that the Build a Tag line is so versatile.  I can imagine using this die for so many projects, and those tags would look great on cards as well!
