Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peek Day 2 (Post 3 of 3)

Here is my last post for the Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks for February!  This is such a great set, and one of the reasons I just love CDS.  This set comes from the Value Verse line and is called Scriptures of Hope.  It comes with 10 stamps for only $11.99!

I made a bookmark card with this set to send.  That way when they are done reading the card, they can tear off the bookmark and be reminded when they read whatever book that our hope is in the Lord.
I airbrushed my little flowers.  One of the great things about Copics and white embellishments :)

Stamps:  Scriptures of Hope
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  unknown blue, My Mind's Eye Abbey Road, Cottonball White (CDS), BG Marjolaine
Copics:  YG03, BG72, BG75
Accessories:  air brush system, Designer Labels Die (CDS), tiny twinkles (TE), Not Quite Navy ribbon (SU), prima flowers

Now be sure to check out the rest of the DT's (links in my sidebar) creations and head over to Lori's blog to see the full set.  Tomorrow you'll be able to go to CDS and buy all the goodies you've seen over the past two days!

Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peek Day 2 (Post 2 of 3)

This is post 2 of 3 for day 2 of Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks!  This is one of my favorite new sets, because it reminds me of my childhood.  Did you ever make a sugar egg?  We made them at home and I remember making them in Wednesday Children's Church after school.  I loved all of the details of my sugar eggs. . .the frosting, the little scene inside of the egg, and it was so delicate.  This card is a reminder to me me of that.  I used the Ultrafine Clear Microbeads that CDS offers, to cover my egg and make it look like sugar. The set is called You're Eggs-traordinary, and it has 7 stamps for only $12.99.  Isn't it gorgeous?!
Here is a closer look at the 'sugar' effect I was going for.
Stamps:  You're Eggs-traordinary
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  unknown orange, Cottonball White (CDS), KI Memories Paisley Parade dp
Copics:  G00, BG15, YG03, YG06, R32, YR14
Accessories:  Labels 11 & Fancy Tags Trio Nestabilities, green ribbon, dimensionals, Ultrafine Clear Microbeads

Card time. . .I made this card for a few challenges.  At first I thought the color combo would be difficult, but now I love it!  I used my Who's that Birthday Girl set from MFT stamps.

A little Love for ya

Hey there!  I have a few cards to show off today.  This first card was made with the Card Patterns sketch in mind.  I used my Cricut with my Wild Card cartridge to create this fun card.  Can you believe I didn't use a single stamp on this baby?!
 Ink:  Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Paper:  OA Fly a Kite, unknown blue
Accessories:  Cricut, Wild Card Cricut Cartridge, sponge, yellow ribbon, lattice punch, corner chomper

While we are on the trend of no stamps, here are a few more 'love' cards I made and listed in my Etsy shop.

Maybe I can stop back in later with a little more goodness to show.  I may just have some time after school (fingers crossed) ;)

Hiya Luv

I just had to share the fun things I got in the mail yesterday from the darling, Gina, over at Hiya Luv!
This little wristlet was the Sophia, and now she's all mine, hehe.
Here is the sweet statement piece necklace that I received as well.  Isn't it gorgeous?!

If you don't know, Gina, you really should get to know her.  You'll be so happy you did!  Gina is one of the sweetest blogging buddies out there.  She is always so encouraging and has some of the greatest posts that offer ideas, fun pics of her darling doggie, Polo, and some great recipes (believe me I've tried them) that she makes for her man, Dave.  She has her own Etsy shop too where she sells her wonderful creations!  Here are a few of my faves from her gorgeous little shop:

So, have I wet your appetite for the wonderful things that the adorable Gina has to offer?  Then head on over to her shop and get a few things :D

Plump & Perfect

This digital image from Clear Dollar Stamps called Hippo Ray totally makes me giggle.  It comes with a couple of hippo images with a few sentiments to go along.  I actually drew in the floor to make it look a bit more like a dance studio of sorts.  I made it for 2 different challenges:

Simon Says -- Animal Antics
Fab 'n Funky -- Delight in your Digi

Images:  Hippo Ray

It is Beary cold. . .well at least for me it is. . .

You know. . .I'm from Nebraska, so 30 degrees shouldn't be cold to me.  However, I woke up this morning and told my husband not to make me move up north, lol.  Now that I've said that we'll probably get orders to Alaska!  Ok, enough being a baby. . .here's a little bear colored like a polar bear.  This card was made with the set Heart Hugs from Clear Dollar Stamps.

Love is in the Air -- A night of VSN fun!

Warning:  this is a long post with 6 projects. . .

Last night had a clear calender, which was perfect because last night was a Virtual Stamp Night over at Splitcoaststampers.  I have participated in these before, and I just love them.  Not because there are potential prizes for playing, but because I just LOVE challenges!  Maybe it has something to do with how competitive I am. . .hmmmm. . .food for thought.

Last night's VSN was a mini one, because the big one is coming up next month.  Every hour on the hour there is a new challenge, and last night gave us 6 to work with.  Here are all of the results:

#1 -- Punch Your Heart Out
We were challenged to follow the sketch give, use punches, and follow a color challenge.  Quite a challenge for the first one!  I used a set from There She Goes called Everyday Greetings for my sentiment.  The flower is made completely from punches :)
 Stamps:  Everyday Greetings (TSG)
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Ridinghood Red (SU)
Paper:  Cottonball White (CDS), unknown red, Ridinghood Red, Regal Rose, & Kiwi Kiss dp (SU)
Accessories:  Scallop Circle Punch, Circle Punches, Heart Punch, Scalloped Edge Punch (all SU), Red Velvet Cake glitter dots (CDS), Kiwi Kiss ribbon (SU)

#2 -- What Shape is Your Heart
We were challenged to make a heart shape card that reflects the shape of our heart, and not the actual shape.  The shape of my heart has been transforming lately as I try harder to love people around me that may seem hard to love at times (does that sound harsh?).  I ended up using a Clear Dollar Stamps set called Church Chatter.  I ended up falling in love with this card, because the heart looks a bit vintage and shabby after some distressing.  Life (as for all of us) occasionally brings heartache. . .hence the shabby tattered heart, but God can repair that heartache if we let Him.
Stamps:  Church Chatter (CDS)
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Tea Dye & Black Soot distress inks
Paper:  Cottonball White & Pucker Up (CDS)
Accessories:  SCAL & my Cricut (to cut the heart shape), Victoria embossing folder, sponges, lace, crocheted flower (my friend Leah), twine, buttons

#3 -- Light Up Your Life
This challenge was to make a Luminaria.  I had never made one before, so I was thrilled to get to try one.  I love it!  I used a Clear Dollar Stamps set called Peace for the Journey, because it seemed so fitting.
Stamps:  Peace for the Journey (CDS)
Ink:  Wild Huckleberry (CDS)
Paper:  Wild Huckleberry (CDS), vellum, buttercream, My Mind's Eye dp
Accessories:  crocheted flower, button, Oval Nestabilities, Tabs & Tags Die (CDS)

#4 -- Paper-piece Your Heart Out
The challenge was to paper-piece at least 2 things on your card.  I love paper piecing!  I used this adorable Cuppie set called Love is Sweet from Taylored Expressions.

 Stamps:  Love is Sweet (TE)
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  Cherry Go Round (CDS), Cottonball White (CDS), BG Sugar Rush
Accessories:  Copics & air brush, Oval Nestabilities, MS Loop Punch, white ribbon, Maya Road heart stick pin, heart punch (SU), white gel pen, dew drops, dimensionals, rhinestone brads

#5 -- Two Hearts Beat as One
The challenge was to use an entwined image.  I used a set called Monkey Love from Clear Dollar Stamps, where the little monkey's tails are entwined.
 Stamps:  Monkey Love (CDS)
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  TE Jan KI Kit
Accessories:  TE Jan KI Kit, organdy swirl ribbon, oval punch, Circle Nestabilities, Copics & air brush, Atyou Spica pen

#6 -- Slimming Down
The last challenge was a limited supplies challenge along with a motivational stamp.  We had to use kraft CS, no more than 2 layers of CS, and any embellishments we wanted.  I chose to use Psalm 37:3-5 from Clear Dollar Stamps, because that scripture is very motivating to me.  If I trust in the Lord, He will give me the desires of my heart.  Some of the time the desires of my heart start out as one thing, but He will transform them to be something else.  I love that about God. . .if we trust Him, He will make me want whatever His will is!
Stamps:  Psalm 37:3-5 (CDS)
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  SU dp, kraft, vanilla
Accessories:  Copics, Red Sparkly Fluff, chipboard heart, Corner Chomper, Sweet Cheeks ribbon (CDS)

Thanks for sticking with me through this long post.  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend :D

Need a Lift?

Yay, for Friday!  I don't know about you, but I plan on doing some stamping tonight.  Over at Splitcoaststampers they will be having a VSN (Virtual Stamp Night), with the theme of "You Make My Heart Sing"!  If you haven't participated before, you'll at least want to check it out.  They are so much fun!  My husband will be playing his usual game of World of Warcraft, so I'll lock myself in the 'craft cave' and get to stamping, lol.

Ok, onto my card.  I made this little cutie for a couple of challenges.  He fits the challenge 'Animal Magic', over at Fab 'n Funky, and 'Cute Somethings' over at Stamp Something.

The image is from the Clear Dollar Stamps set called A Friend in Need, which is the January SOM.  So it's free if you spend $50 over there!
I airbrushed the water and gave it a coating of glossy glaze!
Stamps:  A Friend in Need
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  Cottonball White (CDS), unknown blue & brown
Copics:  BG72, BG75, G21, G24, YG67, G28, E57, YG95
Accessories:  Soft Suede ribbon (SU), buttons, glossy glaze, air brush system

Hopefully I'll see you later with some VSN cards :D

I goofed. . .

Would you believe that I actually made these weeks ago for the Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past Blog Hop that is going on right now.  However, I guess I forgot to sign up, lol.  I could have swore that I did, but I must have forgotten. . .oh well, I will show them anyway.

I made these with my two kiddos in mind.  I used the Love is Sweet Cuppie set that is actually on sale right now over at Taylored Expressions.
This one will probably go to my son, since he doesn't want me to kiss him in public anymore, lol.
My daughter loves to write and make cards, so this one will go to her.

Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Vintage Photo distress ink, Riding Hood Red (SU)

CDS Blog Hop: New Beginnings

If you are hopping along in the Clear Dollar Stamps Monthly Blog Hop, you should have made your way over from Trudy's blog!  If not, then you might want to start at the beginning, Lori's blog, so that you don't miss a thing!  I'm so glad that CDS will have a regular hop.  That's right, a regular hop on the 3rd Sunday of every month!  This month the theme was NEW BEGINNINGS.  Seems fitting, since it's a new year, huh?!

I chose to make a card about New Loves.  I used the set We Go Together, to symbolize that because this set makes me think of school and the little notes we would pass. . .'Do you like me?  Check yes or no'. . .haha!
Stamps:  We Go Together
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  Billowing Clouds (CDS), Cottonball White (CDS)

Clear Dollar Stamps Digital Release Day!

It's Digital Release Day over at Clear Dollar Stamps, and you don't want to miss the great digis available today!  I'm showing off this gorgeous image from a set designed by Laurie called Rose Bloom.  I used some Heavy Weight Cottonball White cardstock from CDS to print right on.  From there, I just colored my image with my Copics.  This heavy weight cardstock is specially designed so your Copics don't leak through. . .and mine withstood the test, hehe!
Isn't that image just devine?!  And it was quite fun to color.  This set comes with a full bloom rose as well.  Be sure to head over to Lori's blog, Clearly iStamp to check out all the sets being released, and also check out the rest of the Digital Design Team (their links are in my sidebar).

Sweet Sketch Wednesday #84

I had a  little time while the kids were taking Language tests, so I scurried off to my 'craft cave'. . .one of these days I'll have pictures to share.  I have so much 12x12 dp that is double sided and I am now loving that idea more and more.  I've decided to start using it to make cards. . .I mean actually cutting it to the size of 4 1/4" x 11" so that I can fold it in half and have a card base.  I LOVE how it's turning out, and I'm using up gobs of my 12 x 12 paper.  The insides end up being just as pretty as the outside without a lot of fuss!

This card was made using the Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch, and I used one of my newest sets from There She Goes called You're a Hoot.  Those little owls just crack me up!  TSG is quickly becoming one of my favorite companies :D
I curved the sentiment 'here for you'. . .one of the great things about clear stamps.  Originally I was going to put the 'Owlways' on the front, but I just liked the look of it on the inside with those little flying owls.
I added a crocheted flower for a little 'extra'.
Stamps:  You're a Hoot
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Hot Cocoa (CDS)
Paper:  Cottonball White (CDS), SU dp
Accessories:  Copics, dimensionals, crocheted flower, button, brown thread, Circle Nestabilities, Argyle, Swiss Dots, & D'vine Swirls embossing folder, sponge
