December 2023 Spellbinders Kits of the Month

Hi there, and welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm sharing some projects I made using the December 2023 Spellbinders Club Kits.

This first project uses the Small Die of the Month along with the Embossing Folder of the Month.

This second card focuses on the Embossing Folder of the Month and uses the sentiments from the Small Die of the Month.

My third card used the Glimmer Kit of the Month, and my kit came with Aura foil.  It's just so beautiful!

And finally I have the new Stencil Club of the Month!  I'm so thrilled that Spellbinders has this kit option now.

If you'd like to see exactly how these 4 cards came together, you can watch the video here or over on my YouTube Channel.

November 2023 Small Die, Embossing Folder, and Glimmer Kit of the Month from Spellbinders

Hello and welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm sharing 3 of the new Club Kits from Spellbinders for the month of November.

For all 3 cards that I made I used the Embossing Folder of the month, and lightly used an ink pad directly over the top of the embossing.  I just love the look of that.

The sentiments come from the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month, and it is all about the sentiments.  It comes with two plates and a die cut to cut each of those sentiments out, and I love that they are sentiments for all year!

The Small Die of the Month was perfect for the inlay die cutting technique, which works like piecing together a puzzle (which I love doing).

I absolutely love how all 3 of these cards turned out.  If you'd like to see exactly how these cards came together, you can watch the video here or over on my YouTube channel.

I hope this inspires you to want to get inky!  Thanks for stopping by!

November 2023 Quick & Easy Card Kit for Spellbinders

Welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm sharing 4 cards I made using the Spellbinders November 2023 Quick & Easy Card Kit.  I really love the color palette of this kit.  It's so rustic and subdued, and I think that will really add to our stash if you ask me.

My first card was a wedding card.  It just so happened that I needed a card for a wedding this last weekend, so this kit cam to the rescue!  I popped up the cake using some foam squares and I used a puffy sticker for the sentiment.

My second card focused on the die cut image that looked like a photograph.  It was just so pretty that I really wanted to showcase it, so I paired it up with a couple of patterned papers and used a chipboard sticker for the sentiment.

My third card used that darling image of the boots with the flowers coming out of them.  It seemed like the perfect image to give to a soldier, so I added the puffy stickers for that wonderful sentiment.  I may just have to give this to my husband.

My final card for the day seems like the perfect teen boy card.  It's rustic and talks about wildness. . .I just love it!  That subdued rainbow with the fox ephemera is where it's at for me.

I did do an unboxing of this kit, so if you'd like to see that you can watch it here or over on my YouTube channel.

October 2023 Spellbinders Quick & Easy Card Kit

Welcome back to my blog for the Spellbinders October 2023 Quick & Easy Card Kit!  Today I'm going to be sharing 5 cards that I made with this kit, but believe me when I say there is so much left over to be able to make so many more kits.

This first card had me quite hungry for a snack after piecing all of the goodies along the horizontal panel.  The patterned papers are so whimsical, and popping all of the pieces up with foam tape helped to make them all really stand out.

I love that there are always plenty of pieces in each kit to be able to build up little scenes.  Christmas cards are totally my jam, so I was all about these elves gifting each other some presents by the tree.

I was so excited that there were acetate pieces in this month's kit, so I decided to make a wreath shaker using the adorable clay and sequins bits.  I really love how this one turned out!

As soon as I saw the ornaments and those large hearts, I knew I had to make a card with them together, and I think this one is my favorite from today!  That little elf swinging from the ornament has me all smiles!

My final card of the day uses another acetate piece, and this one is a tag.  It looks so cute all dressed up with the clay and sequin bits.  That background is what it's about using the new Embossing Folder of the Month!

If you'd like to see exactly what comes in this kit, you can watch an unboxing here or over on my YouTube Channel.

I hope this inspires you to want to get crafty!  Thanks for stopping by!

October 2023 Die of the Month, Glimmer Kit of the Month, and Embossing Folder of the Month from Spellbinders

Hello, and welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm sharing 3 of the new kits of the month from Spellbinders.  I love that this month is all about Christmas, so I had the best time creating from these new products.

The Small Die of the Month has me smiling as it's that adorable Santa!  He's really quite big once assembled as you can see from this A2 card.

My next project uses both the Small Die of the Month as well as the Embossing Folder of the Month, and as a bonus, the Add On of the Month.  I love how this tag turned out.  That embossing folder gives me nordic Christmas vibes and I am all about it!

And last of all, I have a card using the absolutely GORGEOUS Glimmer Kit of the Month.  This is so stunning, and my card came together so quickly.  I colored the image up using my OLO markers, and that color palette is ooo la la!

I do have all of these projects in a video if you'd like to see how I made them, or how the die goes together.  You can watch it here or over on my YouTube Channel.

Nutcracker Ballet Christmas Cards with Spellbinders

Who is working on their Christmas cards?  I try to work on them all year.  It's fun to pull out Christmas goodies from time to time throughout the year and make a few things, but I'm just now starting to do a big push.  I made these quick and easy cards using the Nutcracker Ballet Bundle from Spellbinders.  Bundles like this are so good when you need quick cards, because everything matches.  All you need to do is piece things together.  Head on over and check out the bundle!

Athletic Apparel from Spellbinders

Hello and welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm sharing a few small cards I made using the new Spellbinders Athletic Apparel and the Jersey Numbers.  I made these for my nephews that I got a chance to visit last week.  They live on the opposite coast, so I don't get to see them often.  Knowing that I was headed for a visit, I made these cards specifically for them!  Their high school football team is undefeated, so it was even more special to make these for them.  Not only does the new release have these dies, but here are also sentiments to match, and you can make these jerseys for any sports team.  The customization is fabulous!

3 New Club Kits from Spellbinders for September 2023

Hello, and welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm sharing a few new projects that use a few of the new Kits from Spellbinders.  There are so many kits to choose from, and many of them coordinate beautifully with each other.  I'm going to share the Small Die of the Month, the Glimmer Hot Foiling Kit of the Month, and the Embossing Folder of the Month.

This first card uses the Small Die of the Month as well as the Embossing Folder of the Month.  I absolutely love the boots and the many different elements that can either be put in the boots or used separately.  I chose to make my boots look like an American soldiers boots.  This card would be great to send to a deployed soldier or even to family of a deployed soldier.

My next card uses the Glimmer Hot Foiling Kit of the Month, and I paired it up with some black foil on some textured dark cardstock.  By doing this, I'm able to add color very easily with my Prismacolor Pencils.  I finished it off with some gold splatter (of course)

My final card uses both the Glimmer Hot Foiling Kit and the Embossing Folder of the Month.  I used a blush foil and colored my images with OLO markers.  This card is a unique gatefold, A2 card.  I love making cards that are a bit unique like this and the die cut that comes with the Glimmer Hot Foiling Kit makes it super easy to do that.

I do have a video to share that shows the dies from the Small Die of the Month, the coloring of the Prismacolor Pencil card, and the assembly of the last card.  You can watch that here or over on my YouTube Channel.

I hope this inspires you to get a little inky!  Thanks for stopping by!

September 2023 Quick & Easy Card Kit by Spellbinders

Hello friends, and welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm sharing a few cards I made using the new Spellbinders September 2023 Quick & Easy Card Kit!  The title says it all when it comes to these kits, because they are geared toward being able to make cards quickly, but are also perfect if you are new to card making.

My first card gives off such Fall vibes, and I am loving it!  I paired up some patterned paper with some trees and houses from the die cut shapes, then topped it off with some chipboard stickers for the sentiments.

My next card is a sweet little scene.  I knew I had to use the die cut of the girl walking her dog in the rain, because it's just so sweet. Once again, I finished it off with some of those chipboard stickers for the sentiments.

My third card was centered around the fun sentiment on one of the chipboard stickers that reads, 'SO MUCH TO BE GRATEFUL FOR'.  I grabbed a bunch of the ephemera to encompass just a few things that I'm grateful for.

My final card for the day uses some ephemera, the puffy stickers, and the black sequin embellishments.  I love the big puffy sentiments and how they can take up some great space.

And that's a wrap on this kit!  I still have a TON more elements in order to make a TON more cards if I want.  Imagine the possibilities!  If you'd like to get your hands on the September 2023 Quick and Easy Card Kit, or check out the other great Monthly Kits that are available through Spellbinders, head on over to the store.

Spellbinders Envelope of Wonders Stamps & Dies

Hello and welcome back to my blog!  There is a new set of stamps, dies, and ever BetterPress plates from Spellbinders called Envelope of Wonders.  It's a beautiful new collection that encompasses so many holidays and occasions.  I got a chance to play with the Envelope of Wonders die set and I die cut them all out of white cardstock and then colored the pieces with alcohol markers.

Not only do the separate pieces from the collection look gorgeous coming out of the envelope die, but they also go perfectly by themselves as well.  My next sample uses only the Autumn Wonder dies from the collection, and I think they look stunning on the card front even without the envelope.

Be sure to go and check out the entire collection!  Thanks for stopping by!

Spellbinders BetterPress Halloween and Fall Plates

Hey there, and welcome back to my blog for another group of cards!  Today I'm sharing a few that I made using some of the new Spellbinders BetterPress Halloween/Fall themed plates.  There were so many great plates, and what I have is just a sampling.

My first card uses the Halloween Icons BetterPress Plate and the Spiderweb Background BetterPress Plate.  I inked up the edges using both Shaded Lilac and Villainous Potion Distress inks, while the ghost was inked up with some Mustard Seed.  I popped the whole thing up using some foam tape.

This next card uses all of those same things, but I tried uses the plates with some black paper and some white pigment ink.  I think it was fairly successful, however, the black paper was think enough to give the LetterPress look.

My final example uses the Mushroom Duo BetterPress Plate, and all three cards used the Notched Corner Frames dies.  I watercolored my image and added some clear gel pen for some added shine.

If you'd like to see how I made the first card you can watch it here or over on my YouTube Channel.

I hope these inspire you to want to get a little inky.  Thanks for stopping by!

Spellbinders BetterPress Christmas Plates and Underpainting

Hello and welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm sharing a few cards I made using some of the new Spellbinders BetterPress Christmas Plates.  I decided to make my backgrounds using a technique that I call underpainting.

The first card uses an ombré look going from a dark pink up to a lighter pink at the top, and it uses the Chic Merry Christmas BetterPress Plate.

This next one uses the Holiday Foliage Joy BetterPress Plate and I focused the underpainting to around the edges.

This final example uses the Christas Greetings BetterPress Plate.  These are so fun to paint, and those underpaintings really make the painting process easier.  If you'd like to see exactly how I did it, you can watch the process here or over on my YouTube Channel.
