Craft Roulette #210 with Carrie Rhoades

Yay!  I've finally been able to participate in a Craft Roulette!  If you're unaware of what that is, you really need to check it out.  It's a fun crafty challenge over on YouTube where we are given certain parameters in which to create a card.  This week's guest was my friend, Carrie Rhoades, and she nailed it as she always does.

I used some Trinity Stamps goodies along with some Lindy's Gang powders (use code CASSIETCARDS to get 10% off in the Lindy's Gang Store) to create my card to fit in the parameters, and I'm so pleased with where this ended up.

New Club Kits for April from Spellbinders

Hey there friends!  There are a new Club Kits for Spellbinders, and I'm a little obsessed!  I love the theme this month with it all being stitching and needlework.  I have the Stencil of the Month and they Wax Seal of the Month, and both are incredible!  For the card above, I used various blue inks from the Simon Hurley Create line of inks, and I'm swooning.

My next card I made using the same line of inks, but I use a silver ink for the thread lines and a gold ink for the labels.  That wax seal is just fabulous!

My final card I decided to use Christmas color and then fussy cut out my skeins of thread.  All of the sentiments come from the Fancy Sentiment Strips BetterPress Plates.

There are lots of other kits available, so be sure to head to the Spellbinders store to check them out.  Like I said, they all coordinate, and if you like needlework like I do you'll need these kits!  If you'd like to watch a video of some crafty friends crafting with all of the April Club Kits, you can watch it over on LV Handcrafted. Happy crafting!

Copperplate Sentiments using the BetterPress with Spellbinders

Hey friends!!  Welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm sharing some cards using some new plates for the BetterPress from Spellbinders.  This first card using the Congratulations plate for the BetterPress, and I love how big it is.  I paired this up with the Mock Orange die from the Through the Arbor Garden line of dies.

This next card uses the Thinking of You plate, and I paired it up with the new Stencil of the Month for April.  That stencil will be released on April 6th.

These plates are fabulous for so many reasons. . .they are big enough to cover the front of most cards and I love the scriptiness of them.

2 New Spellbinders Club Kits Spellbinders for February 2024

Hey friends, and welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm sharing a few cards I made using two of the new Spellbinders Club Kits for Feburary 2024.  I have the new Stencil of the Month and the new Wax Seal of the Month, and naturally I think they work very well together.

For all of the cards I made today, I started with some watercolor paper and sprayed some Lost Shadow through each of the four stencils.  I went onto spray other scraps of watercolor cardstock with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Spray, Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Spray, Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Spray, and used some Dried Marigold Distress Oxide ink.

Next I die cut out plenty of pieces from the newer Fresh Picked Berries die set from the various colors.  I had so much fun piecing them together and deciding which groupings would go on the different card panels.  The sentiments come from the All You Need Glimmer Hot Foil plate using some White Glimmer foil on some navy cardstock.

Making the wax seals was so much fun.  I started out using just some Fern Wax Beads, but then started mixing Fern Wax Beads and Cloudy Sky Wax Beads together to get a beautiful marbled look.  Those were finished off by using a Silver Metallic DecoPen to make the Lily of the Valley Seal really pop.

You can watch how these cards came together here or over on my YouTube Channel.

Fresh Picked Dies from Spellbinders

Hello there crafty friend, and welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm sharing some projects I made using some of the new products that Spellbinders just came out with.  I'm using the Fresh Picked Berries die, the Colorful Burst Flower die, and the Kaleidoscope Garden Press Plate.

The Fresh Picked Berries die is just beautiful, and I love that it has the potential to either cover the full front of an A2 sized card, or it can be pieced separately for other looks.  I used colored cardstock to die cut my pieces and assemble my panel.

The Colorful Burst Flower die is lovely as well!  I decided to die cut each of my pieces out of white cardstock and then blend different colors of ink for my desired look.

Finally the Kaleidoscope Garden Press Plate is such a lovely and detailed plate that can be used with your BetterPress system or even used for foiling.  I did some messy watercolor over my image to get a fun and whimsical background.

If you'd like to see how I made the first two cards, I have a video that you can watch here or over on my YouTube channel.
