OCL -- Cute Critters

I've been working like mad on all of my Christmas cards, so I thought I would take a break from them.  I needed a card for my nephew's birthday, so I used the Our Craft Lounge Challenge of Cute Critters.  The set I used is the darling Drake the Dragon!  I had to have him, since that was my high school mascot.  Silly, I know, but ahhhh memories!
Stamps:  Drake the Dragon
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  buttercream, CDS Worn Parchment, EP Dots & Stripes
Accessories:  Copics, Cream Viva Pearl Pen, CDS Sweet Pea & Turquoise Gem ribbons, SU Melon Mambo ribbon, corner chomper, foam tape

A sketch for Pumpkin Birdie

Aack! I am such a huge fan of Laurie Wilson's Doodle Pantry images! She has a new release that started today, and I'm drooling over her new things. This is not one of her new images, but that Birdie sets my hear a flutter, hehe. Laurie's images are the reason I even started dabbling in digis. I colored up this little Pumpkin Birdie for her monthly challenge over at CDBC and I used a sketch from JUGS.Of course, I used my Copics to color this adorable little Birdie.
Images Used: Pumpkin Birdie
Ink: Tea Dye distress Ink

Clearly Delightful Challenge meets Get Sketchy

It's been another crazy day around here getting things done now that company is gone and the weekend is over. There was so much running around this morning I thought I was only going to get to look in my 'Craft Cave', lol. Lucky for me, I spent about 30 in there (even though I should have been doing laundry), and this is what I came up with for the Clearly Delightful Blog Challenge and the Get Sketchy sketch. For the CDBC we were supposed to use Pearls, Bling, or Buttons! I chose buttons to go with this darling little Cuddly Bear from the Doodle Pantry.
Images Used: Cuddly Bear
Paper: unknown SU dp, buttercream, Fresh Papaya & Soft Mint (CDS)
Accessories: Copics, buttons, Bubble Gum ribbon (CDS), linen thread

Clearly Delightful Sketch Challenge

Yup, I'm challenge crazy again! Laurie, over at Clearly Delightful has an awesome shop of digis in her store called Doodle Pantry. Once a month she has a challenge on her blog, and just for participating you get a free image from her store. Talk about a deal! This little image I used is called Lemon Ants. Aren't those little ants just adorable?! Laurie's challenge this month was a sketch challenge. I also combined it with this week's Pink Elephant challenge, which was to use red, scallops, and a bow.

A Yellow Digi with a Sketch

I'm back again with a couple of challenges. I used one of Laurie Wilson's images from the Doodle Pantry from the set Branch Birds. That little bird is just so darn cute! Over at Laurie's blog she has a once a month Clearly Delightful Blog Challenge, and this month the challenge was to use yellow and dry embossing. I chose to combine it with the Little Red Wagon sketch this week.

Clearly Inspired Challenge #10

It's Friday, and it's time for the Clearly Inspired Challenge going on over at ClearlyiStamp! This week's challenge is a sketch challenge. I just love sketch challenges! I used some new papers I received last week along with my Tangy Trio set from Clear Dollar Stamps. I had this awesome chipboard piece sitting in my stash just begging to be used, so I covered it in paper and distressed it a bit. I tried the Rock n' Roll technique on my card, but it's not very easily seen in the picture. I don't think the colors I chose were different enough. The pears in my circles were covered with a dimensional glaze to give them some shine. Fun sketch, huh?
CDS Stamps: Tangy Trio
Ink: Certainly Celery, Mellow Moss, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Crate Paper Brook dp, unknown cardstock, Neenah Solar White
Accessories: Curly Label punch, half back pearls, sponge, dimensional glaze, chocolate ribbon

    A very Wet Wednesday

. . .I say that because, it has been raining all day here in Columbus. Thankfully, that's given us an opportunity to really focus on school and get a few things done around the house. My mom lives with us, but had to leave today to spend some time with my Grandpa. I told you he had surgery recently, but he hasn't been doing as well as they had hoped. To keep my mind off of that, I have a couple of cards to show you today.

My first card was made with my bff, Christi, in mind. Even though thousands of miles separate us, we still manage to communicate everyday. This was made with a new Clear Dollar Stamps release called Sassy & Fabulous. I used the faux leather techniqe, and then hand stitched around the outside. It was very time consuming, but very worth it. I love the way it looks, and I know Christi won't just throw it away after she's read it, hehe ;)
    CDS Stamps: Sassy & Fabulous
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Sahara Sand, Versamark
Paper: Neenah Solar White, Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Copics, Labels 1 Nestabilities, dimensionals, sponge, buckle, Tiny Mosaics embossing folder, Clear Embossing powder, heat tool, black ribbon, thread

After making my little card from yesterday with Laurie's adorable little digi called Happy Bird, I had to go buy these little Branch Birds! Aren't they just adorable?! The image reminds me of my son. He is definitely his own person, and I love that about him. I had so much fun coloring this image and embellishing it. I used some new Fine Strawberry & Fine Sage Flower Soft from Clear Dollar Stamps. I love that stuff! It works beautifully! I'm entering it in the Digital Tuesday Challenge, because the challenge is Piercing.
Digital Image: Branch Birds (Clearly Delightful Designs)
    Ink: Baja Breeze
Paper: Basic Grey Nook & Pantry, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Neenah Solar White
Accessories: Copics, circle punch, red buttons, red gingham ribbon, Labels 6 Nestabilities, sponge, clear embossing powder, Dazzling Diamonds glitter (SU), dimensionals, Fine Strawberry & Fine Sage Flower Soft, paper piercer

Thanks for stopping by today! I always love reading your comments ;D

    Clearly Delightful Sketch Challenge

Let me start off by saying that I love this image from Laurie Wilson's line of digital images called Clearly Delightful Designs. This image is called Happy Bird, and isn't it darling?! I'm still not great with digital, but it's all a process. As I said, I love the image, but I am not thrilled with my card. I made it for Laurie's Clearly Delightful Challenge, which was a sketch challenge.
    Digital Image: Happy Bird
Ink: Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry
Paper: TE Key Ingredients kit, watercolor paper
Accessories: circle cutter, Pinking Circle Nestabilities, slit punch, sponge, TE Key Ingredients ribbon & flower

I hope you're having a wonderful Tuesday. Be sure to come back throughout the week, as I'm sure to have more to show you ;D

    A Ducky MMSC Card

I have to say, it's been wonderful to have my man home in more ways than one! He's given me a bit of time to create and blog while HE teaches the kiddos math. . .is he awesome or what?! A girl could get used to this! With that in mind, I made this card for two different challenges. The sketch comes from the Midnight Madness Sketch, and the other challenge was a Duck challenge over at Clearly Delightful. If you participate in Laurie's duck challenge she'll give you an adorable digi duck of your very own!
    Stamps: Cute Critters
    Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Basic Grey Lime Rickey, Neenah Solar White
Accessories: Copics, Lime Rickey buttons, linen thread, Scallop Edge punch, Corner punch, Curved Rectangle Nestabilities, dimensionals

I may have more with this new found freedom (haha), but otherwise be back on Friday for a Clearly Inspired Challenge ;D
