Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks Day #4

It's the final day of Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks and I have a whopping 3 stamp sets to show you today. It's so exciting that everything that you've seen over the last 4 days will finally be available to purchase tomorrow, August 1st!

The first set I have to show you is called Blown Over and it is the Stamp of the Month for August. It's such a darling set and can be yours FREE with any CDS purchase of $50 or more after s&h. I just fell in love with this set the moment I saw it. It's so clever and fun to color.
Stamps: Blown Over (August SOM)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Mellow Moss, unknown dp, So Saffron dp, Neenah Solar White, Whisper White, Blush Blossom
Accessories: Flowers & Vines #2 Die, flower punch, half-back pearls, star dust gelly pen, corner rounder
Markers: Blush Blossom, So Saffron, Mellow Moss, Close to Cocoa, Copic W-1

My second sample with this set was so fun because it was so colorful. I found this dp at Michael's and just couldn't resist it's bright colors, so of course I brought it home (wink). It was obviously my inspiration for all the color in this card. This was colored with copics, then the sky was sponged, and the clouds were drawn in with a white gel pen.
Stamps: Blown Over (August SOM)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Tempting Turquoise
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Apricot Appeal, Real Red, unknown dp, Neenah Solar White
Accessories: Paper Blooms, Chocolate Chip button, Valet ribbon, white gel pen, scallop edge punch, sponge
Copics: YR20, BG96, YG95, R46, E37, E29

For more samples with this set go check out these wonderful ladies blogs: Kim, Angela, Sarah, Candy
***********************************************************************************

My next sample is for the littel stamp called Apple & Books and is only $1, so you know you gotta have it! I made these for some friends who recently made the decision to start homeschooling their kids. I thought it would be fun to give the new teacher some correction pencils and a little encouraging note ;D
Stamps: Apple & Books
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Real Red, So Saffron, Basic Black, Kraft, Neenah Solar White
Accessories: sponge, dimensionals, jute, tag, white gel pen, correction pencils
Copics: R46, G17, G05, BG96, B29, Y17

Go check out what these ladies have done with this must have stamp: Angela, Nancy, Candy
***********************************************************************************

My final sample is with one of the flower of the month stamps for September called September Aster, and it's a set of 6 for only $7.99. I'm not much of a flower person and I say that not because I don't like flowers, but because I kill them. I don't mean to, it just happens. I spend too much time on other things and just end up with dead plants. It's quite sad really, but I suppose stamping them is my one way to have flowers around the house {lol}!
Stamps: Aster --Sempter Flower of the Month
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Cameo Coral
Paper: Vanilla, K&C Company dp, Neenah Solar White, Old Olive
Accessories: Labels 3 Nestabilities, Swiss Dots embossing folder, rick rack ribbon, charm rings, glaze embossing powder, oval cutters, dew drops, dimensionals, sponge
Copics: B00, BG01, YG95, Y00, Y17

Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks Day #3

It's day #3 of the Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks and I only have two sets to show you today. The two sets are Sweet Symphony and Sheet Music. These sets were such a must have for me. My daughter plays the piano and used to play the violin, while our neighbor is a French Horn Professor at a local college. Sweet Symphony is a set of 17 while Sheet Music is a set of 2. They just go hand in hand!

I love the sound of the violin, and I really wish that my daughter had wanted to stick with it, but she chose piano. At least there is still some music in the house ;) I love how beautiful these stamps are, and there are so many for such a small price! I had a lot of fun distressing this first sample and I whipped out the old air art tool. Such a great tool to play with!
Stamps: Sweet Symphony & Sheet Music
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Creamy Caramel, Basic Black, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Close to Cocoa, watercolor, Basic Grey Lemonade
Accessories: aqua painter, sponge, air art tool, Close to Cocoa marker, gold brads, water spritzer

My next sample is near and dear to mine, my brother's and my sister's hearts, lol! We all played the trumpet in junior high and high school. My brother actually went on to make a little money with it playing TAPS at funerals, but I was actually kicked out of marching band because I couldn't figure out right/left quick enough. Very sad, I know, but still funny :D This sketch was a challenge for us and is actually the challenge for the Guest Design Challenge going on over at Clearly iStamp! Go check it out and get all the details.
Stamps: Sweet Symphony
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Basic Black, More Mustard
Paper: DCWV La Creme, watercolor, Basic Black
Accessories: aqua painter, sponge, oval cutter, mini black brads

If you would like to see more samples made with these awesome sets go check out these talented ladies blogs: Katie, Linda A, Nancy, & Candy

Here are the names of the other adorable sets being shown today:

I Moose say it was hard to choose a card. . .

Oh my goodness, it seems to get harder and harder to choose a card to showcase whenever I am the hostess of the Clear Dollar Stamps Weekend Color Challenge. All the ladies who participate always bring their 'A' game, and it's just fun to see what everyone creates. This weekend I chose the colors Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay, and Only Orange with a white neutral.

After much deliberation I chose to showcase Tricia's card! I am always a sucker for the a moose and to be frank, she had said it was a challenge. She persisted anyway, and came up with a really great card. I love all the elements and the sweet details.
It really is such a joy for me to be able to hostess these challenges once a month, and I am always so appreciative of all the talent that shines through. Here are a list of the ladies who participated with links to their amazing creations:

Thanks again for stopping by. Be sure to come back tomorrow as I'll be showing off some of the new stamps that will be coming out starting August 1st. You won't want to miss out on the wonderful stamps Clear Dollar Stamps has in store for you this month!

Clear Dollar Stamps Weekend Color Challenge #29

I'm sitting here at my brother's in FL just loving life. My kids are enjoying every moment with their cousins, and we aren't doing anything but cook, talk, and enjoy each other's company. I'm enjoying the fact that we don't live too terribly far from each other, because next year the military will move his family to another location. I'm soaking up bro time for as much as I can.

Well, onto business! I'm so excited because I get to hostess this weekend's Clear Dollar Stamps Color Challenge over at Papercraft Planet. I've chosen the colors Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay, Only Orange, and a neutral White. I chose to use this new stamp called Lost in Space that was designed by Clear Dollar's own Kim Teasdale!
Stamps: Lost in Space (CD Stamps)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark, Basic Gray
Paper: Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay, Neenah Solar White
Accessories: Copics, dimensionals, Bermuda Bay marker, Spots & Circles embossing folder, circle cutter, google eye

Go grab your Clear Dollar Stamps and give this color challenge a go! I can't wait to see what you've made!

Be sure to come back next week, because sneak peeks will start, and you don't want to miss it!

A Tubular Color Challenge

I really should be getting ready to leave town tomorrow morning, but I just really wanted to participate in some challenges. I've been busily working on sneaks for next month's Clear Dollar Stamps, which I can't wait to show. It's not like I haven't been stamping, but I've just been stamping things that I can't show you yet ;)

This morning's colors over at the Color Throwdown are Perfect Plum, Certainly Celery, and Chocolate Chip. I thought I would combine these colors with this morning's sketch challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers. I came up with a very simple card, and it was hard to stop at that. I kept wanting to add more.
Stamps: Veggie Stew (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Ink: Perfect Plum, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, Perfect Plum, Whisper White

Color Throwdown #51

Last week I got this stamp set called Porch Conversations from Clear Dollar Stamps and I have been so excited to use it. When I saw the colors for the Color Throwdown this week I knew this would be my set. The colors this week are Lavender Lace, Garden Green, and So Saffron. These, I will admit, were hard colors for me to use together, but I really like the end result. The saying for the set reminds me of my friend, Christi, except when we get together we always talk. The only times we are quiet (and it's not for long) are when we are crafting together ;)
Stamps: Porch Conversations (CD Stamps)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Lavender Lace, Going Gray, Garden Green, Bashful Blue, Creamy Caramel, So Saffron
Paper: Whisper White, watercolor, Lavender Lace, Garden Green, So Saffron

A Copic Creation & Paper Blooms Challenge

I was a bit excited this morning, because not only did I get a text message from my man last night, I also got a good night's sleep! The one was probably a result of the other, so I woke wanting to make a cheery card! Over at the Paper Blooms challenge blog the challenge was to use an animal as the focal point with a puny saying. Perfect! I have lots of those from Clear Dollar Stamps. Then I came across an awesome sketch over at the Copic Colour challenge blog. Thus, the end result. . .
Stamps: Moose Friends (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Tempting Turquoise
Paper: Pink Flamingo dsp, Whisper White, Neenah Solar White, Real Red
Accessories: Copics, handmade blooms from Paper Blooms, rhinestone brad, red button, linen thread, Doodlebug flower, sponge

CAS23

It's a rainy Monday morning, and there really are things I should be doing. Stamping isn't on that list, but eh. . . I'm the mom right? {LOL} Since I should be doing other things, I stuck with the CAS challenge over at Splitcoaststampers. The challenge this morning was an inspiration and HERE was mine. CAS challenges are hard for me for some reason. I guess I just never know when enough is enough.
Stamps: Cat-tastic, What a Hoot (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Kraft, Neenah Solar White
Accessories: paper piercer, dimensionals, Copics

A Color Throwdown

I love summer! The kids and I have just been living outside, playing with the neighbors until late every night. They have been loving it! It's almost been hard to look at curriculum, but I know that we'll have to buckle down eventually and get back to the grind at the first of August. All the neighborhood kids will be back to school, and we'll have to get started too. Until then, we'll just continue to live it up outside even if it is 100 degrees outside with 99% humidity {lol}.

Speaking of neighbors, one of the little girls down the street is having a birthday party on Saturday. So, when I came across the colors for the Color Throwdown, I knew they would be perfect for Lily's card! The colors are Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, and Kiwi Kiss. Lily is having a Tinkerbell party, so I thought the new My Little Ballerina set from Clear Dollar Stamps would be perfect!
Stamps: My Little Ballerina (CD Stamps)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Neenah Solar White, Whisper White, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Kiwi Kiss dp
Accessories: Copics, Tempting Turquoise brads, circle cutters, Scallop Circle Nestabilities, turquoise & icicle stickles
With my man gone, my days are filled with playing outside and my nights are filled with stamping sneaks for CDS. I hope you all are enjoying your summer as well.

I found this great sketch challenge blog and decided to use their Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch to make a baby girl card. I have several friends that will be having baby girls within the next 2 months. I can't believe it!

I decided to use these super cute stamps called Patchpal Skunk and Patchpal Messages, designed by the incredibly talented Shawne, for Clear Dollar Stamps. The Patchpal line is so adorable and has so many stamps!

A Special Challenge

I'm a sucker for a good cause and if you throw in a cute stamp, I'm more than sold! I made this card with a digital stamp called Cowgirl Eva. The Pink Elephant is doing a really cool Special Challenge that is not the normal challenge to try and help raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation in honor of Ethan Weiman. Go check out the Pink Cat Studio for more information on this cause.

I also went ahead and combined this with the Try a New Technique challenge over at Splitcoaststampers. The challenge was to make a Stand Up Card.
Stamps: Cowgirl Eva (digi stamp from Pink Cat Studios)
Ink: none

Clear Dollar Stamps Weekend Color Challenge #26

Jim left about 2 hours ago, so I got the kids in bed and settled down to make my card. I should have known it wouldn't be that easy. Naturally since Daddy is gone, the kids hear noises and begin to feel unsafe. I have to admit that I have my moments of uncertainty when he's not here too. They were having a really rough time with the idea of him being gone for the entire month. So, their insecurities started to set in. Sometimes I don't realize just how big the blanket of 'provider' is when it comes to my husband. He makes us all feel safer without even realizing it. I took the opportunity to point out that while Daddy is a wonderful provider and we need him, we have an even greater provider in Jesus. It's amazing how even His name is sufficient in making us feel more secure. We prayed for our safety while Jim is away, and we prayed for Jim's safety while he is gone training for this month, and we prayed that we would always be reminded that God is bigger than anything we could ever imagine. He loves us an He wants us to be safe as well.

With that in mind, the idea for this card came to be. God is bigger than anything, even aliens, even strange noises lurking outside. He loves us, He provides for us, and He just wants us to rely on Him for everything.

Because it's the weekend, it's time for the Clear Dollar Stamps Weekend Color Challenge over at Papercraft Planet. It's hard to believe that it is week #26. The very talented Shawne is our hostess this weekend, and she has chosen the colors Baja Breeze, Barely Banana, Real Red, and white. These colors were so fun to work with, and this set is one of the many new releases for this month. It's called Lost in Space. It was designed by Kim Teasdale, and I just love it!
Stamps: Lost in Space (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Baja Breeze, Barely Banana, Real Red
Paper: Sweet Slumber, Real Red, Barely Banana, watercolor paper
Accessories: aqua painter, Versamark pad with Enamel embossing powder, red ribbon, dimensionals, white gel pen

Grab your Clear Dollar Stamps if you have some time this weekend and play along! I wish you all a very saft and blessed 4th of July weekend.

Color Throwdown #49

I am extremely blessed this morning, as I am every morning, but today I just feel special. Not only did I get to make a card, but my husband is home for the day and my kids are cleaning their rooms! As soon as I am done posting, I plan to get ready to go and spend the day with the family. My husband will leave late this evening for the month, so it is a blessing to get the day with him.

I made this card for the Color Throwdown with some new stamps that arrived yesterday from Clear Dollar Stamps. These are from Shawne's Patchpal Animal line, and they are so adorable! The Elephant is a single stamp, while the words are from a set. A lot of my friends are having babies, so I need to start stocking up on some baby cards. I didn't have the exact colors that the Throwdown was looking for, but I tried to match them as best I could.
Stamps: Patchpal Elephant, Patchpal Messages (CD Stamps)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Cameo Coral
Paper: Bashful Blue, Cameo Coral, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Neenah Solar White
Accessories: Copics, oval punch, circle cutter, Inverted Scallop Circle Nestabilities, Scallop Circle Nestabilities, Chocolate Chip ribbon, Swiss Dot embossing folder, sponge, corner rounder
Hopefully, I'll have more to post throughout the month since my man will be out of town. That should leave for some very open evenings, which translates to some good crafting time. I always try to look at the positives of him having to be gone ;) Have a very blessed Friday!
