Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peek Day 3

Here we are at day 3 of the Clear Dollar Stamp sneak peeks! I have a special set to show you, because it goes perfectly and was designed to be used with the Designer Labels Die that CDS released last month. This is one of a few sets that matches this die. . .I love that about CDS!

This set is called Designer Label Celebrations, and is a set of 15 for only $14.99. I made this first sneak in no time, so you could very easily make your own invitations quite quickly with this set and the die.
CDS Stamps: Designer Label Celebrations
Ink: Fresh Papaya, Hot Cocoa
Paper: unknown pink, Cottonball White (CDS), Echo Park Walk in the Park dp
Accessories: Designer Label Die, dimensionals

My second sneak uses the same set, but I actually did a little coloring on this one. This was another quick birthday card.
CDS Stamps: Designer Label Celebrations
Ink: Wild Huckleberry (CDS), Memento Tuxedo Black
PapBolder: Cottonball White (CDS), Wild Huckleberry (CDS), BG Joy Ride dp
Copics: BG72, Y26

Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peek Day 2: Post 2 of 2

Welcome to post 2 of 2 for the Clear Dollar Stamps sneak peeks! This set is certainly a favorite of mine. I love how CDS makes sets that can coordinate together, and this set called Everyday Jar-gon Additions is one of those! It coordinates with the Everyday Jar-gon set that was released sometime back.

This first card I made I used transparency paper to give it an actual jar feel. I like the simple look to it. . .it really makes the jar the focus.
Stamps: Everyday Jar-gon Additions
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Worn Parchment (CDS), Cottonball White (CDS), BG Jovial, transparency
Copics: G24
Accessories: Prismacolor & gamsol, black pen

This second card is a bit more involved and colorful! My craft cave is filled with buttons, so this sentiment was perfect! I embossed the jar to give it that jar feel ;)
Stamps: Everyday Jar-gon Additions
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark, Memento Hot Cocoa
Paper: Hot Cocoa (CDS), Vanilla (CDS), buttercream, Echo Park dp
Copics: B00, Y02, G24, R32
Accessories: Prismacolor & gamsol, brown thread, clear embossing powder, buttons, Tags Trio Nestabilities, circle punch, dimensionals
If you didn't see my first post, scroll down to check it out. After you're done checking out my work, you can check out the rest of the DT's work. . .gorgeous stuff from some gorgeous ladies.

That is all I have to show you today. Be sure to head back here tomorrow for my final sneak. . .you don't want to miss it :D

Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peek Day 2: Post 1 of 2

Welcome to Day 2 of Clear Dollar Stamps sneak peeks! I have 2 sets to show you today, so be sure to check out my second post after you've checked this one out. This first set of the day is called Thankful Pockets, which is the November SOM. That means it's yours free just for purchasing $50 worth of goodies at CDS! My first card actually pairs the Thankful Pockets set with a singles stamp called Thankful Pocket Quote.
Here is a close up of the set and the quote. . .beautiful huh?! I actually stamped the flowers for this pocket by coloring directly on my stamp. . .I like the wet effect that the markers gave. I also used the new Die from CDS called Designer Label Die. I just LOVE this die, and I love how Lori has designed so many sets to work with it. It gives so many options!
Stamps: Thankful Pockets & Thankful Pockets Quote
Ink: Deep Sea (CDS), Fresh Papaya (CDS), Tea Dye Distress Ink
Paper: Crate paper dp Restoration, Fresh Papaya (CDS), Lakeshore (unknown), buttercream
Markers: Wild Huckleberry, Spring Leaf, Fresh Papaya (all Tombow for CDS)
Accessories: crocheted flower (me), decorative brads, scalloped edge punch, Designer Label Die (CDS), sponge

My second card is a feeble attempt to make some jean shorts, lol. It isn't my favorite card for sure, but it gets the point across that this set would be wonderful to duplicate pockets on shirts or pants, or jumpers, or overalls. . .ahh the imagination could just go wild.

Stamps: Thankful Pockets
Ink: Deep Sea, Ripe Olive, Wild Ginger (all CDS)
Paper: Deep Sea, Cottonball White (all CDS)
Accessories: gingham fabric, black pen, white gel pen

So that is Post #1 for the day. Be sure to check out Post #2 and then head over to Lori's blog to see the set in it's entirety. These lovely ladies have things to share with you as well: Trudy,Katie, Laurie, Candy, Shell, Stacy, Angela, Lisa, Kim, Nancy, Tricia, & Gloria

Christmas Stocking

Happy Monday! We are having a very short school day today, because yesterday my baby girl broke her big toe :( I wish she had been doing something fun, or worth it, but she was running to get in a line for a huge inflatable at her end of the year softball party when she tripped. I suppose breaking a toe isn't that big of a deal and they don't cast it, but it's right along her growth plate. Messing with a kids feet scares me, so I had to take her in and I'm glad I did.

I made this cute Christmas card for a few challenges using an October Clear Dollar Stamps set called Filled With Cheer.

Pile it On #42 -- soft holiday card (flower soft on the sock)
Top Tip Tuesday #7 -- Anything Goes
The Ribbon Girl #2 -- red & green

I used some Flower Soft on the toe and heel of the sock. . .fuzzy socks are the best when it's cold.
CDS Stamps: Filled With Cheer
IBoldnk: Memento Tuxedo Black, Basic Gray
Paper: Cloud 9 dp, Cottonball White (CDS)
Copics: R27, R29, C1
Accessories: Cherry Go Round ribbon (CDS), Polar White Flower Soft, sponge

Thanks for stopping by. . .between nursing my baby back to health, I may get some crafting done. . .we'll see.

Taylored Expressions October Blog Hop

Welcome to my blog in this fun filled TE Blog Hop! At this point you've read that the challenge was to use a TE Christmas stamp. Well. . .I didn't have one (GASP!), so I really had to put my thinking cap on!

I looked through all of my Taylored Expressions stamps, and settled on my Udderly Sweet set, because of the tractor. I'm originally from Nebraska, so I have fond memories of snow days and dad and the snow blower. We live in GA now, so no snow plows or any of that jazz. To me, snow just screams Christmas time. Back in NE some people own tractors that have a snow plow attachment, so I just added an "attachment" to my Udderly Sweet tractor, hehe. Sometimes it snows so darn much there that you have to 'just keep plowing' too ;)So, I'm pretty proud of myself for that one. . .makes me miss home. . .
TE Stamp: Udderly Sweet
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Cottonball White (CDS), Red Velvet Cake (CDS), Jovial dp, silver
Accessories: Copics, White Liquid Applique, red button, green leaf

If you happened upon my blog, make your way through the hop. . .you'll be happy you did :D

Dyslexia Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness, but did you know that it is also Dyslexia Awareness Month as well? Dyslexia falls in the category of a Brain Disorder, so that awareness ribbon is silver. I haven't told that many people, but my son was recently diagnosed as a highly impaired Dyslexic. The more research I do, the more discouraged I become to find that a lot of people don't realize the extent of how impairing dyslexia can be. I won't go into the woes of how discouraging it has been just trying to get the right diagnosis for my son over the past 4 years, but I will tell you that God is good. We are still trying to get the right treatments, and insurance keeps denying us, but we are at least on the right track. The more I read, the more I understand. Sure, I wish that someone could have seen this years ago, but I believe everything happens in God's timing, and He will see us through.

I made this card for a few challenges. It uses one of Laurie's adorable Doodle Pantry images (yes, I just love the adorable ants), called I will Survive. I used the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday, the challenge of hearts from Little Red Wagon, and the challenge of ruffles from CCEE.
Image: I will Survive
Ink: Black Soot Distress Ink, Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand
Paper: My Mind's Eye dp, unknown blue, Cottonball White (CDS)
Accessories: Copics, silver ruffle ribbon (MFT), Designer Label Die (CDS), sponges, Silver Spica pen, silver brads

Thanks for listening to me blabber on. We never really realize how important something is until it affects us. Have a wonderful Thursday!

Doodle Pantry Balloon Ants

I made this card for 3 challenges, which is really about my max. I love the ants that Laurie draws for so many of her Doodle Pantry images. They are always doing the cutest things. When I saw this image it made me giggle, hehe. This image is called Balloon Ants. I followed the sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches, and colored it using the ICopic colors (pink, black, & white, along with a pink ribbon), and I did up the inside for the Caardvarks challenge. Here's the inside. It's simple, but I think it's just enough.
And here's a closer look at Laurie's adorable ants.
Images: Balloon Ants
Ink: Bashful Blue
Paper: Cottonball White (CDS), black, Crate Paper dp
Copics: C1, C3, C5, RV02, RV04, RV06
Accessories: pink brads, circle punch, dimensionals, Tickled Pink ribbon (CDS), corner rounder

This is probably it for me today. The craziness that is my life will probably only allow a little coloring as I run from one thing to the next. Have a wonderful Wednesday ;D

Mercy's Sketch

Good morning! It's raining here in Southwest Georgia, which is causing my pictures to not turn out so great. We need the rain. . .I can't remember when it rained last, haha. I have this little cutie to show you that was made for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch using a Clear Dollar Stamps digi called Unfrogettable. I love how this adorable set come with several images and several sentiments. . .so worth the price!
CDS Image: Unfrogettable
Ink: Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Paper: Parakeet (unknown), Cottonball White (CDS), Imaginisce Apple Cider
Copics: E08, E47, YG03
Accessories: Prismacolor & Gamsol, Labels 12 Nestabilities, corner rounder, dimensionals, brown thread & marker, cream buttons, sponge

Since my kids are homeschooled, I don't have any teachers to give this too so I believe I will just put it in my Etsy shop. I may have something more to show you later on. . .I was a coloring machine while I was on vacation, so now it's just a matter of making some cards out of those bad boys, hehe. Enjoy your day :D

Notes of Encouragement

Anything Goes over at Tuesday Throwdown, and I thought these little encouraging 3x3 notecards would would perfect for this challenge. These little cards are good for anything, but I think they would be perfect to put in a lunchbox. My kids don't attend public school, but these will be great to put in their baseball/softball bags. I could even put them by their computers before they start a school project. These were super fast and super easy. I used a new set from Clear Dollar Stamps called Year Round Bitties along with an older set (one of my faves) called Kids Encouragement.I made up 10 of these, and they took no time at all. I used scraps mostly. . .my coloring took the most time.
Stamps: Year Round Bitties & Kids Encouragement
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Cottonball White, Spruce Needle, Cherry Go Round, Tangelo Smoothie, Mud Pie, Hot Cocoa, Grape Jelly, Black, Deep Sea, Billowing Clouds, Turquoise Gem, Bee Pollen, Still Waters, Tickled Pink (all from CDS)
Accessories: Copics

Thanks for stopping by today. I'm hoping to get in my craft cave today. . .we'll see if it happens ;)

If You know a Mom-to-Be. . .

I had made this a while ago, and even planned to post it while I was gone. That, obviously did not happen, so I'll share it with you today. A while ago, Gina has asked if I had a card for a Mom-to-Be. Surprisingly in my stash of thousands (ok, not quite that many) of stamps, I had NOTHING to fit the mold! Well, I had been eyeballing this set called Baby Bump from MFT for a while and decided to take the plunge. Actually it's a set that will come in super handy as recently many of my friends have become pregnant! Here's the inside. I had originally made this for a couple of challenges, but never found the time to post it. . .ok, I didn't make the time to post it. Regardless, I really like how it turned out.
I, like my friend Christi, love to paper piece these adorable MFT WTG sets. . .they are just perfect for that technique!
Stamps: Baby Bump & Baby Bump Additions (MFT)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Vanilla (CDS), Togetherness Cosmo Cricket dp
Accessories: Copics, Tags Trio Nestabilities, yellow brads

I'm going to go ahead and list this in my Etsy shop, so if you are interested in purchasing it head on over there and check it out!

New Digis at Clear Dollar Stamps!

It's that day of the month when Clear Dollar Stamps releases new digis! I have two to show you today, so let's get started.

This first one is called Winter Wishes. It is such a beautiful scene that comes with two sentiments for you to use. I used my Copics on this scene and my colorless blender to give the feel of snow falling. My little jingle bell was found in a bag of old junk my neighbor wanted me to get rid of, hehe.
Images: Winter Wishes
Paper: Cottonball White, Spruce Needle, BG Jovial
Copics: B21, B23, C1, G17, G28, R46, 559, C3, colorless blender
Accessories: Square & Scalloped Square Nestabilities, twine, jingle bell, Jumbo Scallop Die-namics

My next card was made with the digi called Snow Crocus. I don't know much about flowers, but when I looked this one up, I thought it was gorgeous. Such a pretty and simple flower.
Images: Snow Crocus
Ink: Vintage Photo Distress Ink

Copics: Y00, Y15, Y38, C1, G17, G28

Back from my sister's wedding. . .

I just got back early this morning at around 3 a.m., so it's a bit of a miracle that I would have a card, lol. Here is a pic of my beautiful sister and me right before she walked down the aisle. It was a honor to be her matron of honor!Believe it or not, I forgot the card. . .geesh! This is what I am sending her, and I was inspired by 2 challenges. The Little Red Wagon challenge was to use something old (this stamp set) and something new (that ribbon). The Sisterhood of Crafters was to use bling (my Xmas Red Stickles). I'm sure my sister and her new husband will love the card.
Stamps: Joyful Day (CDS)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Basic Black, buttercream, Prism Red, DCWV dp
Copics: R27, C1
Accessories: scalloped edge punch, D'vine Swirls embossing folder, Xmas Red Stickles, circle cutter, Red Ribbon
After I get all rested up, I'm sure I'll have have plenty more cards to share with you. I will definitely have a couple of cards to share tomorrow, since CDS will be releasing a few new digis. Be sure to stop by to see those!

I feel so out of the loop. . .

I've been off of the blogging radar for over a week now, and I have to say that I feel sooooo out of the loop. My sister got married last Friday, so this is why I have been MIA for a while now. She is my baby sister, and we had to travel from GA to CA for the blessed occasion, and it was absolutely wonderful to be a part of it. I may post a pic or 2 when I get home (yes, I am still on vacation). My plan was to be posting things the whole time I have been gone, but the amount of craziness was more than I had anticipated. So, for those of you that were concerned about my wellbeing, thank you. . .I did not fall off the face of the earth, and it was nice to know that I was missed ;)

I do have a card to share, that is rather simple, but fun none-the-less. I made it for the Anything Goes challenge, which was a Christmas theme, and the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge, which was elements of 3. I used an October release from Clear Dollar Stamps called Filled With Cheer.
CDS Stamps: Filled With Cheer
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Spring Leaf, Cherry Go Round, Cottonball White (all from CDS)
Copics: YG67, R27, E37, blender pen
Accessories: Xmas Red Stickles, corner rounder

So thanks for stopping by. I should get home this week, and have more to share. It usually takes me a bit to get back in the groove after a vacation, but my hope is to get right back on the saddle, lol.

Easy peasy, right?! I made this card with my niece in mind. Her birthday is this month, and she will be 19 (gosh that makes me feel old). She is an amazing young lady, who would proudly tell you that she marches to the beat of her own drum. I'm so proud to be her aunt :)
