Sha-Gnome and My Favorite Dry Adhesives

Hello there crafty friends, and welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm sharing this sweet gnome Hanukkah card with you all.  I uses the Sha-Gnome Stamps and dies as well as the Checkered Background Stencil and the Checkered Background Stencil Add-on Striped Squares Stencil.

To make my background, I started with a piece of blue cardstock from my stash.  Using the Checkered Background Stencil, I blended some Midnight Snack Stellar Ink on to it using a Blending Buddy.  I then put the panel into my makeshift splatter box, and sprayed some Distress Spray Stain in the color Tarnished Brass.  Once it was dry, I used my E-Z Runner Strips from Scrapbook Adhesives to adhere my panel to my cardbase.

I stamped out my adorable gnome and colored him using OLO Markers, and once he was die cut out I adhered him and the sentiments to the front of my card using some 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives.  The adhesives from Scrapbook Adhesives are my favorite for dry adhesives.  I have never had a problem with my cards falling apart, and I love how affordable they are.

The finishing touch was some Matte Metallic Bronze Confetti from Trinity Stamps.  I can't wait to give this to one of my friends for Hanukkah!

I hope this card makes you want to get a little crafty and make a few holiday cards of your own.  You'll find everything I used linked down below.

Background Fun with Simon Hurley create.

Hi there, and welcome back to my blog! I was playing around the other day making backgrounds, and decided that I needed to turn those backgrounds into some Halloween cards.  Both cards use the Simon Hurley create. and Spellbinders die called Boo Crew, which is just so absolutely adorable.  Not only are the ghosts super cute, but you can dress them up in hats and glasses, LOL.

This first card was made using a Black Mixed Media Paper from Scrapbook.com.  It's such a great product and it holds mediums really well.  The shimmery background was made using some Solar Sprays in the colors in Trust Fund, Twin Flame, and Royal Flush.

This background was made on a White Mixed Media paper from Scrapbook.com using some Dina Wakley Gloss Sprays in the colors Lime and Tangerine.

My ghosts were die cut out using white cardstock and then colored with alcohol markers.  I'm just kind of loving looking at these with their fun backgrounds and darling images.  I hope it makes you want to get a little inky!

Happy Hanukkah Using a Large Die Set

I really like big sentiment dies like this Hanukkah die from Trinity Stamps.  You can make it the focal point or your card and then have fun making whatever background you want.  I made mine using some Mixed Media paper and various Distress Inks.  The little gold coins are from the Sha-Gnome set from Trinity Stamps. To finish off that large sentiment, I did add some Icicle Stickles to the bottom half of both words.  It's such a beautiful look.

Everything I used is linked down below.  Thanks for stopping by!

Craft Roulette Episode #287

Hi friends and welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm sharing a card I made for Craft Roulette.  If you don't know what that is, head on over to their page to get the deets. I'm always a bit of a lurker when it comes to the show, because I find I don't do so well trying to get a card done in a couple of days to meet the deadline.  My weekends are usually booked, but I was able to make something, and I'm so glad I did!

My little pop up box hits all of the parameters!  It's always so fun to come up with something using the various parameters and do it in a timely manner.  Would I have ever made a card like this otherwise. . .I'm not sure, but I'm happy I did.  I have everything I used linked down below using affiliate links (which are no additional cost to you, should you choose to use them).  I always appreciate the support.  While I don't have a video to share for this card, I do have a YouTube Channel with tons of content, so head on over there for more inspiration if you'd like.

May Your Season be Stacked with Joy

Hey everyone!  Today I want to share this adorable Snow Stacks card I made by stamping out the image onto some X-press It blending card and coloring it with my OLO Markers. Their little faces are just so sweet, and because it's snowmen, it was super easy to color.  I did use the Snow Stacks die cuts to cut out not only my image, but my sentiment as well.  The background was made by stamping all of the snowflakes from the set onto some green cardstock and heat embossing them in white.

This set is a part of the Trinity Stamps Holiday Release.  You can see all of the new release HERE.

Movers and Shakers - A NEW Release from Simon Hurley create.

Hello friends and welcome back to my blog! Often times I am all about the YouTube videos, but today I wanted to quickly get on here and share some of the new products from Simon Hurley create.  It's a Christmas release, and it's the perfect time for us to get started (if you haven't already) on those Christmas cards. The two new sets are called Ho Ho Ho and Christmas Hugs, and I'm focussing on Christmas Hugs today.

As soon as I saw this set, I knew it needed to put in motion!  The images are big and bold and perfect to fill up the front of an A2 sized card.  My snowman uses and Action Wobbler, which means he wobbles around!  Those Action Wobblers are the perfect thing to make an easy interactive card.

Our penguin uses the new Snap 'n Slides from Pear Blossom Press.  He doesn't look like it in the picture (you can see it over on my Instagram), but he slides from side to side behind that snowbank holding his plate of cookies!  Those Snap 'n Slides are genius!!

Thanks for checking out what I have for you today!  Hopefully it makes you want to get a little inky!

Blast Off with a Light Up Card!

Hey friends!  I have so many cards I want to share over the next couple of weeks, so let's get started!  I made this one to send off to Creativation up in Seattle, and I loved how it turned out.  It uses the new Blast Off die from Trinity Stamps along with the Abducted stamps and dies.  I love how the Pink Mylar paper conceals the image until you press the One Light to get the alien.  It's like magic!

You can check out all of the products I used down below.  Thanks for stopping by!

Spellbinder December Club Kits

Hey friends!  Welcome back to my blog!  I hope you all enjoyed your holiday!  I’m still on holiday and will be for a few more days. We’re enjoying family time and snuggling up in our rv with the kitties. It’s been magical.

Today I’m sharing a couple of cards I made using a couple of the December club kits from Spellbinders. The Stencil of the Month is such a great one!  I went with more of a winter color palette, but I believe this one can be used for any type of card.

The Wax Seal of the Month is another that could be used universally. Hearts are great for any season, if you ask me!

Both of my cards use the Thanks Enclosed die set, which is another product that can be used for so many occasions. It’s a new year soon, so it’s time to replace a lot of those everyday cards I used up from last year. What are you working on?

November's Club Kits for Spellbinders

Hello, and welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm sharing a couple of the Club Kits that are new for November from Spellbinders!

This first card uses the Stencil of the Month, and I have to say that this is such a cool stencil!  I love that it completely covers the full front of an A2 sized card.  I paired it up with the bonus die for this month's club kits, and used the Scallop Labels and Tag die set to create an inlay look.

This next card not only uses the Stencil of the Month, but it also uses the Wax Seal of the Month!  The wax seal is neat, because it's a square shape and it's birthday themed!  I can always use birthday themed items in my stash.

There are so many more club kits to check out so head on over to the Spellbinders Club Kit page to see them all!

Simon Hurley Create New Release October 2024

Simon Hurley Create has come out with a bunch of new products, and I wanted to share what I've made with them!  This first card is some mixed media and it uses the Whimsical Woods background stamp, the Bursts background stamp, and the Woodland Wildlife stamps and dies.

This next card uses the Rose Borders background stamp and the Everyday Wreaths stamps and dies.  I love how Simon makes backgrounds to match some of the stamps he creates.  I absolutely adore this combo and had the best time watercoloring the wreath using various Simon Hurley Create inks.

This last one uses the Bold Woodgrain background stamp along with the Woodland Wildlife stamps and dies.  This card came together so quickly.

There was actually two more background stamps and a stamp and die combo that were released as well.  You can watch the full unboxing of everything here or over on my YouTube channel.

Miss Ink Stamps Release Day

Hello everyone, and welcome to my blog!  Today I'm sharing a bunch of cards for the Miss Ink Stamps October Release!  This first one that I'm sharing is from Day 1 sneaks and it features images from the Dark Arts and Back to Class stamp sets.  I also paired it with the new Spider stencil and an older Ins and Outs Bohemian stencils.

This next card uses the Bury the Bodies stamp set and the Night Sky stencil. . .has to be one of my favorite stamp sets of all time, LOL!

Next up is the Showtime stencil, which has a few options for sentiments and background images. . .ghosts, headstone, or even a little scene.  It's such a fun stencil!

My next card uses the Sweater Weather stencil for the main images and the sentiment comes from the Coffee Philosophy stamp set.  I can always use more coffee stamps and stencils, right?!

That brings us to our final card from me for the release, and it uses the Halloween Hill stencil.  I even have a video where I share all of these cards, and then show you exactly how I made this card below.

You can watch it here or over on my YouTube Channel.

Stained Glass Inspired Card

Hello friends, and welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm sharing a very colorful, stained glass inspired card using a couple of newer products from Stampendous.  The beautiful Christmas Morn Nativity die set reminded me of my childhood and the church I attended.  The old church was filled with gorgeous depictions of the Old and New Testament all in stained glass.  I paired it up with the Christmas Blessings Stamp set, where I stamped onto some vellum and embossed it in black so that it wouldn't cover up any of that beautiful stained glass look.

I'm always trying to get a jump on my Christmas card making, and this set made for a very quick card, but I've seen this die set used with One Light from Pear Blossom Press as well.  Lots of beautiful options with this die set.

Hello there, friends, and welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm sharing a couple of cards that I made using the new Pumpkin Shaped Card die.  This is a fun one for fall, because you can either keep it as a pumpkin or turn it into a jack-o-lantern with the dies that come in the set.  My first card has no stamping and only uses the die to make a white pumpkin.  I can't be the only one that loves the various sizes, colors and shapes of the gourds for this season. So many beautiful choices, so imagine the possibilities with this die set.

My second card uses the Pumpkin Shaped Card die as well as a new stamp set called Life is Gourd.  I absolutely adore the gnomes and this release has a few really great new gnome sets. Both of my cards are for Halloween, but this die set would be sweet with one of the new pie stamp sets as well.  How fun!

I hope these cards inspire you to want to get a little inky.  Thanks for stopping by!

A Card for a Hero

Hi crafty friends, and welcome back to my blog for another card!  Today I'm sharing a card that uses some dies from the Storytelling line from Spellbinders.  There are a lot of great dies in that collection that are good for cards, but would also be amazing for scrapbooking.  I decided to use the My Hero, Wander Boots, and Badges of Honor dies from this collection to make a card geared toward the military.

I paired all of these up with the Scalloped Labels and Tags.  I love this patriotic card, and I can't wait to play with more of the Storytelling line from Spellbinders.
