Ombre Stamping

Hey crafty peeps!  I wanted to pop on quickly to show you what I create for the Papertey Ink Make it Monday challenge.  The challenge was ombre stamping.  I have to say, I have a lot of stamp pads, but not a lot of them go well for this type of challenge!  That was shocking for me.  Maybe I tend to buy vastly different colors, so they don't seamlessly blend.  I suppose I should remedy that ;)

I used a couple of different sets from PTI called Half & Half (with the matching die) as well as Harvest Berries.  The inks I used were distress inks:  Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, & Victorian Velvet.  They aren't perfect, but you get the idea.  Looking at the sentiment I picked, maybe colors of the sun would have worked better.  Again, I didn't have a lot of options.

Thanks for stopping in!

  2. Cassie this is so pretty. I loved PTI's video with the butterflies and I want to try this technique, too!

  3. I think the colors you chose for your ombre panel work beautifully with the Harvest Berries...SO pretty! :0)

  4. This is sooo pretty, Cassie...your ombre panel looks gorgeous with all those pretty colors and what a beautiful background!!!

  5. Lovely card Cassie. The ombre pink looks wonderful. Love the decorative corners!
