Hey there!  I'm back after a wonderful weekend away to watch my baby (who's 16) play some volleyball in Albuquerque, NM.  It was super fun and she played great, but I missed getting crafty.  So as soon as I got back and unpacked, I inked up this Lawn Fawn set called How You Bean? for the Lawn Fawnatics challenge #25, which is a color challenge.  I have a process video below if you're interested :)

I definitely learned some things in making this card, but those little jelly bean faces were so worth it!  I can't wait to ink up this set again :)

CTD #484 -- Sweet Succulents

Hey there!  I have a card for the Color Throwdown Challenge #484 today.  The colors are green, eggplant, and white for this week, so I decided to use a medium that I haven't messed with in quite a while.  My Prismacolor Pencils were feeling a bit neglected, so I gave them some love :)

I have a process video if you're interested in how this card came together.  I'd love it if you checked it out!

After coloring these images I definitely plan to use my Prismacolors way more often.  That was so relaxing, and this particular color challenge had me excited.  When I saw the colors together I got giddy, hehe.

Ink:  Lawn Fawn Jet Black, Versamark, Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn & Dusty Concord

SCS Color Challenge -- Masking

Hey there!  I had some time today while my kids have to car to make a card for the Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge #678.  The challenge was to use the colors Night of Navy, Tangerine Tango, and Melon Mambo, which happen to be by Stamping' Up!  If you don't have those colors, they just ask that you use something similar.

I love when an idea in my head ends up being successful.  While it was successful, it was a bit long of a process because it involved lots of masking and cleaning and stamping.  I talk a bit about it in the video below.  I'd love it if you checked it out, maybe liked it and even subscribed to my channel :)

I'm having so much fun creating these videos, and I hope you like them to :)

Paper:  black cardstock from my stash
Tools:  Stamp Platform, SSS Ultrafine Gold embossing powder, coffee filters, Simply Simmons watercolor brush, Fine Tec Pearlescent Watercolours set of 12, Distress spray bottle, heat gun

I went ahead and filmed the process it took to make the card.  I'd love it if you checked it out.  Feel free to like the video and even become a subscriber.  I plan on making more videos, and thankfully I can only get better at making them. . .practice makes perfect, or at least better ;)

MFT Springtime Critters Friend Card

Hey there!  Long time without posting, I know, but I'm trying something new.  For quite a while my focus has been on making sure my kids' schooling has been taken care of.  That's still a priority, but they are older and getting ready to fly the nest, so my focus can shift some now.  I'm giving the whole making videos thing a try, so bare with me as I find my groove.  Let me know what you think, and don't be afraid to subscribe ;)

Hedgehugs for a Happy Falliday

Hey all!  I have a few more cards to share for the Splitcoaststampers Falliday Fest!

This first one is definitely one of my favorites of all the ones I've made.  It's probably because it has that darling hedgehog on it!  It's from the MFT Happy Hedgehogs set.  I also used the MFT Stitched Rectangle STAX die.

The second one is a very simple patriotic thank you.  The die was a free with purchase from Taylored Expressions.

My third card uses a set called Sheepish from The Cat's Pajamas.  I also used an embossing folder called Cable Knit from Taylored Expressions.

Thanks for stopping by!  If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments.
