Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge

We had an amazing evening last night with nothing to do, but just hang out.  I LOVE nights like that!  We usually end up all cooking together, playing games, eating popcorn, and staying up late.  After the kids go to bed, then the hubs and I will usually watch a movie.  Last night was the kind of night I live for. . .perfect!

It's a new morning, bringing on new responsibilities.  The yard needs some love as does the house, so we are all pitching in.  Before I get too crazy into the house cleaning I wanted to share a card with you.  There is a new Sparks Challenge going on over at the new Paper Smooches Challenge blog!  It's the most adorable inspiration. . .a baby onesie!  You MUST go check it out.  I was inspired by the ruffles and the colors. . .gorgeous!

I used one of my favorite Paper Smooches sets:  Spiffy Scooters.  I've made so many cards with that set, that I lost count.  My flower ribbon was originally white, but I used my trusty airbrush system with RV29 Copic to make it match my scooter.
Stamps:  Spiffy Scooters
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, CDS Lime Juice
Paper:  CDS Worn Parchment, CDS Cottonball White
Copics:  RV14, RV29, T1, T3, T5
Accessories:  white flower ribbon, CDS Lime Juice Twill ribbon, corner rounder, Yellow Liquid Pearls, white gel pen

Be sure to check out the challenge, because Kim offers up some amazing prizes to the winners.  Plus, she is having a DT call right now :D

I'm also quite in LOVE with the new Viva Pearl Pens that were just released in the CDS store as well.  They are AMAZING!  I bought a couple of colors just to try them out, and as soon as I did I had to buy more.  They are flawless to use and simply beautiful!

I have just gotten done with our daily devotion in which we stood outside and basked in God's glories.  Wow, it's amazing how wonderful it feels to know that it was all created by our Creator and we get to enjoy it.

Today's card was made for the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge.  There are some great prizes, so you should give a shot!  It was a picture inspiration, so I used the colors to make this card.  What could be cuter than some adorable pink squirrel girlfriends just hanging out?!  :)  This card uses the Hang Ups & Sentiment Sampler sets.

Praise God

Happy Monday, everyone!  I didn't have too much time to stamp over the weekend, but I did manage to get this one made.  Considering what this weekend was and how emotional it really was, this was the perfect card for my heart to make.  In sadness, I feel that praising God is the perfect remedy.  I have so much to be thankful for and so much to praise Him for.

I used one of the new sets from Clear Dollar Stamps that you can either earn or purchase.  This stamp set is called Melody of Truth, and the flowers are from a set called Bitty Botanicals.

I used the inspiration from the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger to come up with this one, and I really like how it turned out.  The colors really inspired me. . .the cream, the turquoise, the green, and the brown.
Stamps:  Melody of Truth, Bitty Botanicals
Paper:  buttercream, SU dp
Ink:  SU River Rock, SU Crumb Cake, CDS Hot Cocoa
Accessories:  oval punch, CDS Spruce Needle ribbon, sponge

How does this trigger inspire you?

A Colour Q Challenge

Happy Saturday!  It's a busy day here with practices and cleaning.  I thought I would jump on here before everyone started stirring and show you a card I made a couple of days ago for the ColourQ Challenge.  The challenge was to use these SU colors (which I only had a couple of):  Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Orchid Opulence, Rich Razzleberry, & white.

I pulled out a July release from Clear Dollar Stamps called Squirrel Chatter.  I only used the leaves from the set and left the sentiments off so that I could use it as just a note card.  I'm primarily a CAS gal, so this card just came pretty natural and only took about 10 minutes to make :)
Stamps:  Squirrel Chatter
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  CDS Cottonball White, MME A Beautiful Life
Copics:  V06, V12
Accessories:  Rich Razzleberry ribbon, Circle Nestabilities, dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today :D

Taylored Expressions Sketch 146

Ahhh, Friday. . .how I love thee!  This Friday brings about another Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers!  It's another fantastic sketch with another fantastic opportunity to win a prize!  Here's a peek at the sketch:

I whipped out a Taylored Expressions set called The Places You'll Go.  It's a great set for lots of uses, but I decided to make a graduation card.  I never seem to have them when I need them, so why not get a jump on it, right?
Here's a look at the inside, which for some reason is not showing off how great the gray ink actually looks on the inside.  I swear it's not technically that light.  I had never tried stamping in gray and coloring with my Copics, but I do like the soft looks it lends.
Stamps:  The Places You'll Go
Ink:  Memento London Fog, Vintage Photo distress ink
Paper:  CC Odds & Ends, TE Buttercream
Copics:  R22, R24, R27, E11, E13, E15, E000, E00, BG70, BG72
Accessories:  red ribbon, dimensionals, window punch, sponge, Square Nestabilities, TE Cloud Duo Die, TE Cloud Border Die

Here are the details of the sketch:

1. Create a card using the sketch as inspiration. Feel free to switch up the shape or size of your card. As long as your project follows the general sketch, you’re good to go! You may play as many times as you want. Each upload will be entered into our weekly drawing, so the more you create - the better chance you have of winning the PRIZE!

2. Upload your project to Splitcoaststampers before 8pm PST on Thursday, September 22nd using keywordTESC146.

Now head on over the rest of the Sketch Crew to be even more inspired:

The TE Birthday Bash

Just recently Taylored Expressions celebrated their 3rd birthday!  How exciting is that?!  I picked up this cutie called Sweet Party.  I just love how Cuppie is surrounded by all of his sweet friends to celebrate his birthday with him, hehe.  I combined it with Pennant A La Carte and It's a Banner Day 1.  I made this card for my mother-in-law.  I think she'll get a kick out of it.

I made this for the Papertake Weekly Challenge, which was an Anything Goes challenge.
Stamps:  Sweet Party, Pennant A La Carte, It's a Banner Day 1
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, CDS Pucker Up

A Color Inspiration Challenge

I'm getting in by the skin of my teeth, but I made this card earlier today for the Paper Crafts Color Challenge. We had some tornado warnings, making it a bit hard to actually get something posted, lol.  It was also made for the Crafting When We Can Challenge, which was Anything Goes.

I used my Fruitastic set from Paper Smooches, because those blueberries are just too darn cute.  I colored them with Copics and even popped a few of them up on dimensionals.
 Stamps:  Fruitastic
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  CDS Cottonball White, CC Mitten Weather, CDS Deep Sea
Accessories:  Copics, MFT Scallop Die-namics, window punch, dimensionals

We've had a nice relaxing 2 weeks with my husband on leave, but tomorrow starts work and school again.  This is the reason I haven't posted much, so I hope to get back to a more normal posting routine.  Thanks for stopping in and enjoy the rest of your Labor Day!

Halloween is just around the corner, so it's time to start whipping up those Halloween cards and goodies!  Gel-a-tins has 2 new sets that they've added to their collection, and the Gel-a-tins blog has been showcasing lots and lots of new goodies just about every day!

The set I'm showing is called Happy Halloween.  I tried to give the background a stone look, and then have the spiders crawling across the front of the card.  Creepy, huh?!

Paper:  CDS Cottonball White, SU Concord Grape, CDS Stone Slab
Accessories:  black embossing powder
