Happy Birthday, Jessica!

It's a surprise birthday blog hop for the owner of There She Goes Stamps!  Are you surprised, Jessica?! I was honored to be asked to join along in the hop as one of TSGs customers.  I don't know Jessica personally, but I do know that she has amazing customer service and some of the cutest stamps on the planet!  I have quite a few of their stamps, and every month my list of 'wants' gets larger and larger.

I used TSGs stamp set called Ninja Skillz.  Haha, the set just cracks me up, and I thought it was the perfect set to use for Jessica's card!  I used the current Retro Sketches for my layout.  They always have great sketches to get the mojo going.

Stamps:  Ninja Skillz
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  Simon Says cardstock, Neenah Solar White, BG dp
Accessories:  Copics, TE Photo Stack die, teal twill ribbon, foam tape

There you go!  I hope you were surprised, Jessica, and I hope you gets lots of birthday wishes today!  Hoppers should head on over to Jessica's blog to be sure to wish her a very happy birthday!

Birthday Bot

Well, it was back to the grind this morning after a couple of weeks of Spring Break.  At least, that's what it was for us since my husband happened to have a couple of weeks off.  That never really happens, so when it does we take advantage.  It was also my birthday weekend.  We had a very successful garage sale the morning of my birthday, and then my husband surprised me with a few friends over that night.  It was such a great time.

This is a big birthday month for our family.  My nephew's birthday is in a few days and my mother's the day after that.  Plus, my sister is due any day now with baby #2.  I'm so super excited, because my birthday present is a trip out to see her and help out after the baby is born!

This particular card I made is for my nephew.  He's turning 5, so the little Birthdaybot set from There She Goes Stamps was perfect for him.  I used the Mojo Monday sketch and colored on kraft paper with my Copics.  This is my first attempt, and it was great!  As you can tell from my picture, it was a bit hard to photograph. . .or maybe it was laziness since most of the day is gone :p
Stamps:  Birthdaybot
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  kraft, MME Funday Kraft
Accessories:  Copics, white Prismacolor pencil, foam tape

I'm off to check some papers from our school day.  It has been a rough start back after a long time off. . .for all of us, haha.  Thanks for stopping in!

I love you

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  I'm starting to really get my 'sea legs' with this new computer, and I am in luuuurve with it!  Because the weather has been nothing but rain for the past few days, my kids haven't had their normal evening activities which has given me even more time to play.  I saw that There She Goes Stamps is having a flower challenge this week for their Monday challenge.

I used this gorgeous set called Sweet Pea.  I'm surprised that I don't have more of their flower sets, because they are purty {grin}.  I know it's not a manly card, but this is for my husband.  He's seen everything else I have made, and I doubt he'll get on here today.  I'm sure he'll like it.

So, I'll let you in on  a little secret, k.  See all of the distressing I did on my sweet peas with the direct to paper ink?  Well, that was a bit of an accident. . .okay a big accident.  My stamp pad fell on the image in the corner, so I went with it, hehe.  I honestly think I like the look, because the dp I used actually does look distressed like that. . .no ink pad droppin' there.

I couldn't leave well enough alone. . .I had to do up the inside as well.

Thanks for stopping in.  Practices have been cancelled tonight too, so more time to play or more time to waste.  I hope I choose the 'play' option.

Stamps:  TSG Sweet Pea
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, light pink, PTI Chartruse
Paper:  buttercream, black, Authentique dp
Accessories:  pink ribbon Scallop Edge Die-namics, doily, Labels 17 Nestabilities, Black Viva Pearl Pen, stick pin

My Mac Daddy

It's been a bit quiet here over the past few days, and the reason for that is an upsetting one. . .my computer died.  Yes, my computer had had enough and cashed in its chips.  It was a rough few days around here, because I had a few deadlines, naturally, and the only working computer was my daughter's.  Her computer is old. . .very, very old, and is limited in its capabilities.  So, we did some research.  I'm tired of having to replace my computers every couple of years, and both my husband and I were in need of something reliable.  We finally settled on a Mac Book.  That is a first for us, because I have only ever owned PCs.  We got it just last night, and I have to say, so far I am super impressed.

In honor of the occasion, I whipped out this darling There She Goes Stamp set called Smarty Pants.  That sentiment just seemed to perfect to put on a card to hand to my husband after he brought home this beautiful machine :)  Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog is having a Have a Heart Challenge, so this fits nicely.  I also made it for the TSG Weekly Challenge, which happens to be an inspiration challenge.  I was inspired by the Valentine type feel to the beautiful picture.

There is definitely a learning curve with the Mac Book, but it's been fun to learn new things.  I have a new photo editing software to try and tackle, but that has been fun too.  Thanks for stopping by!

TSG192 -- Wood Grain

Hello, crafty friends!  I've been working on a few things, and in the midst of that I created something for the There She Goes Stamps blog challenge -- Wood Grain, and it also fits the Simon Says Anything Goes challenge as well.  I have some thin wood panels like chipboard.  I don't remember where I got them, but I really wanted to pull it out and use it.  The design team has some great examples and there is even a tutorial on today's blog post over at TSG.

I used the TSG set called Jungle Out There and stuck with a very CAS design, so I could leave the focus on the cute image and my coloring.

The weather is pretty rough out there right now, so I may be spending time in the craft cave rather than grocery shopping.  Thankfully, I have all of the ingredients for crockpot chili, so I don't NEED to venture out in the yuck ;)

Stamps:  Jungle Out There
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  buttercream, PTI rustic cream, wood panel
Copics:  E00, E02, YR20, YR23, YR27, G94, BG90, BG96, Y26, Y28
Accessories:  foam tape, TE Label Stacklets 3 die, felt leaf, Gold Viva Pearl Pen, Gold Spica Pen, corner rounder

Love is in the Air

I've had a few things going on, but I love midmonth because that affords me some play time in the 'craft cave'.  I noticed that There She Goes Stamps is having a 'Love is in the Air' challenge over at the TSG Blog. I haven't played along in a while, so I thought I would this time.  I used my Cutie Pi set along with some Crate Paper papers.

I colored the images with Copics and used my Taylored Expressions Medium Layering Doily Die as well as my Small Layering Doily Die.

I better get moving.  There are basketball games tonight and chores to be done.  Thanks for stopping in!

TSG166 -- Sketch

Happy Thursday, crafty friends!  I'm really enjoying the gym time so early in the morning, leaving me more time to do a little crafting before everyone gets up.  It seems to be working!  I pulled out the There She Goes Challenge Sketch for this week, along with the darling set called Hauntingly Delightful.

At first I thought I would make this card for my husband since his birthday is tomorrow.  After thinking about it, I just couldn't do it. . .don't ask me why.  So I have a different card I made him that I will show you tomorrow ;)  I wouldn't want him to come on here and see it before he gets it.  Yes, believe it or not he does check my blog daily. . .that cutie!

So there you have it.  The papers are Stampin' Up!, with the dp being a retired pack.  Thanks for stopping in!  Here is are the links to the products I used:

Bedtime Christmas Dreams

Yes, second post of the day. . .crazy, I know!  I have just had an idea in my head for days since I saw the There She Goes Stamps Challenge called Christmas in July!  Once I saw the sketch from iSpy Sketches, there was no denying that this card just had to be made.

I don't have a singel TSG Christmas set, which is really quite unfathomable.  I suppose now would be the time to remedy that since they are having a 15% off everything Christmas in July sale. . .hmmm.  Because I don't have a single Christmas set from TSG, I had to get creative in order to play along with this week's challenge.  I pulled out my Bombdiggity set (which really is da bomb, if you ask me), and colored my little crazy girl in Christmas jammies.  I'm actually addicted to coloring her hair. . .so fun.  THEN, since I don't have any Christmas sentiments from TSG, which makes sense since I pretty much already said that, I used my Polka Dot Pals 'dream' sentiment.

I actually am kinda in love with my card. . .because that Bombdiggity girl is just too cute!

In case you're interested, here are the Copic colors that I actually remember to snap a picture of.  The Ciao is R22.

Thanks for stopping in!  Be sure to scroll down to see my Clearly Inspired Challenge :)
