Gel-a-tins: Chocolate Bliss

Happy Saturday!  I'm just going to get right to what I have to show you today.  I made a treat box from an old jewelry box, and I think it turned out pretty good.  I used a really great set from Gel-a-tins called Chocolate Bliss.  The set has a lot of potential and could be used with some of Gel-a-tins yummy smelling embossing powders for an even better effect!

Splitcoaststampers has some wonderful challenges going on right now for Breast Cancer Awareness, and the challenges are called Hope You Can Cling To.  I've made lots of cards all week for the challenges. . .you should check it out!  This box was made for the Pink Ribbon challenge, which was to use a pink ribbon on your card.

Stamps:  Chocolate Bliss
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, CDS Hot Cocoa
Paper:  BG Sweet Threads, buttercream
Accessories:  pink ribbon, scallop circle punch, circle punch, Magenta Viva Pearl Pens, box

Taylored Expressions Sketch 149

Yay for Fridays, and yay for another Taylored Expressions Sketch!  These sketches always get the creative juices a flowin', and I'm sure this sketch will do the same for you.

I ended up turning the sketch, and I'm sure having some fun with my new Woodland Winter set and Trim the Tree Die both from Taylored Expressions.  I also paired it up with Taylor's 12 Days of Christmas Project Pantry Kit.  They sure to make it easy to create some Christmas cards!
 Stamps:  Woodland Winter
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, CDS Hot Cocoa
Paper:  12 Days of Christmas Project Pantry Kit
Accessories:  Copics, sponge, TE Frame it Up 1 Die, ribbon, dimensionals, Hot Pink Sparkly Fluff, Tags Nestabilities

I also wanted to make a card for the Hope You Can Cling To challenges over at Splitcoaststampers that would work for today's Hope for the Holidays challenge.  The challenge is a holiday card with the primary color being pink :)

Here are the details of the challenge from the forum at Splitcoaststampers:

1. Create a card using the sketch as inspiration. Feel free to switch up the shape or size of your card. As long as your project follows the general sketch, you’re good to go! You may play as many times as you want. Each upload will be entered into our weekly drawing, so the more you create - the better chance you have of winning the PRIZE!

2. Upload your project to Splitcoaststampers before 8pm PST on Thursday, November 10th using keywordTESC149. Feel free to come back to this thread and link your creation, however, make sure you’ve uploaded it using the correct keyword as that’s how we’ll choose the winner.

3. You’re not required to use TE Stamps on your project, but I love it when you do! And if you’re drawn as our weekly winner and you’ve used TE Stamps on your project you’ll get a little sumpin’ sumpin’ extra

Here is what the Sketch Crew was bakin' up:

I can't wait to see what you come up with!

OCL is still wearing Pink!

Over at Our Craft Lounge they are still showing off the pink for Breast Cancer Awareness!  Today is their blog challenge and the color is none other than. . .PINK!  I chose to use my new Granny's Truffles set.  And while this card is sporting some other colors, the main card base is pink and so is Granny's dress ;)

I also had one of the Hope You Can Cling To challenges from Splitcoaststampers in mind when I made this card.  It was made for the You're My Inspiration challenge, and I chose the colors Light Blue, Pink, Red, Blush, and white dots.
Stamps:  Granny's Truffles
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  pink, CDS Cottonball White, EP Candy Shoppe Dots & Stripes
Copics:  B21, B23, B00, C1, C3, E000, E00, E41, E42, E43, R22, R24, R27, E47, RV10, RV11

More OCL goes pink!

Our Craft Lounge is still going pink for the week!  There was a fun hop on Monday, some more pretty stuff to see Tuesday, and yesterday Kendra shared her story.  You should really go check out the OCL Blog for lots of inspiration and to read Kendra's story.

I combined my card today with a challenge from Splitcoaststampers for their Hope You Can Cling To challenges.  I've been having so much fun making these, and I can't wait to get them all boxed up and sent out.  What a great feeling it will be to share something I love!

I was inspired by the P.I.N.K. challenge, which was to use the letters to make your card.  Here goes:
P -- Pat the Dog stamp
I -- ink (I know that seems a bit like cheating, hehe)
N -- new stamp set
K -- know to tie on the bone charm
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  pink, Crate Paper - Farmhouse, CDS Cottonball White
Accessories:  Copics (forgot to write them all down), MS Loop Punch, green twine, bone charm

Thanks for stopping in!

Kendra, from OCL is sharing her story with all of us this morning over at the OCL Blog.  Head on over and be encouraged!

I used this great OCL set called Sunshine Cheer.  I'm officially in love with it, hehe, and it really can be used for so many things.

Here is the group of items I made with these great sets:

It seems like a lot, but it was all so easy!  Most of my supplies came from the Holiday Wonder Project Pantry Kit, making it even easier.  I stamped my sweet Moka Angel out on buttercream cardstock 3 times, and then colored her with my Copics.  I cut her out and set her aside.  Using the buttercream, I stamped my banner 3 times from Banner Day 2, and then stamped my sentiment from Banner Holidays onto each banner.  Then using my Banner Day 2 Die, I cut out all of my banners.  I also used the super versatile Frame it Up 1 Die.

Here is a closer look at the bag and tag:

Our Craft Lounge Blog Hop

I'm super duper excited this morning, because I'm hopping along with the talented ladies from Our Craft Lounge!  As you all know, it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and in honor of that OCL is having a blog hop!  I used the always fun set called Granny's Support Team for my card.  The Granny sets all crack me up, and this set is a humorous way to remind us all that we need to be aware and 'Don't forget to squish 'em!'

I thought it would also be fun to pair my card with one of the challenges going on over at Splitcoaststampers for the Hope You Can Cling To (HYCCT) challenges.  OCL's own Deb Felts is hosting the Give 'em a Squeeze challenge, which was to use some form of dry embossing.  Thanks for a great challenge, Deb!

Stamps:  Granny's Support Team
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Soft Suede
Paper:  Authentique-Uncommon, SU Soft Suede, buttercream
Accessories:  E42 copic, Circle & Tags Nestabilities, Scallop edged punch, Victoria Embossing Folder

OCL is offering up a prize to a lucky commentor, so be sure to comment along the way!  Wouldn't you love to get your hands on Granny's Support Team stamp set and 2 jars of Sparkly Fluff ~ in shades of PINK?!  A winner will be announced tomorrow morning.  You can get all of the details at the OCL blog.

Here are a list of the hop participants:

Have fun hopping and thanks for stopping by!

Taylored Expressions Sketch 148

Yay for Fridays!  I think I can hear you shouting for joy as well, hehe.  Better than that, it's the second Friday of the month, which means Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge time as well!

I enjoyed this sketch immensely, as I always do.  In fact, I made 2 cards.  One I'll show now, and another I'll show later ;)  Since it is October, that means Breast Cancer Awareness.  Over at Splitcoaststampers, they are showing off support by hosting challenges every day in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness.  Not only is my card for the TE Sketch Challenge, it also fits the Bling Your Cling challenge.  Here are the details of the challenges:

1. All Hope You Can Cling To Challenge Entries must be uploaded to the Hope You Can Cling To Gallery, with the specific challenge keyword, no later than November 7th, 2010 at 12:00 Noon Central Time to be eligible for our fabulous prizes! Post a link to your entry in this thread.
2. You may not combine challenges, but you are welcome to create multiple cards for each challenge.
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
4. Please package all challenge entries with an envelope, protected with a clear plastic bag and mail them to our partner at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center to benefit patients being treated for breast cancer and their family. We would like for them to receive cards throughout the month of October, but we understand if you'd like to mail all your cards at once.
5. Since these cards will be used by visitors for patients, most should be blank inside, but feel free to send cards with messages of hope for the patients in addition to your challenge cards!

I used this fabulous set from the Moka collection called Moka Angel.  I am quickly falling in love with this collection, because she is just so fun to color!  So fun, in fact, that last week after I had a outpatient procedure I made sure I had 2 pages of this pretty girl stamped out to color and keep me occupied.  LOVE her!

Gel-a-tins: Save the Date

This is my last month as a designer for Gel-a-tins.  Thank you so much, Bonnie, for having me!  I had so much fun, and got an opportunity to work with some wonderful designers.

Today, I'm going to show off a great set called Save the Date.  At first I didn't think that this set would be so great for a card maker, but boy was I wrong!  I LOVE how versatile this set is!  From scrapbooking, to card making, to treat holders, you could make just about anything.

Head over to the Gel-a-tins blog to see some details on this card:

Here's a sour cream container I made as a treat for my husband.  Head over to the Gel-a-tins blog to get more details on this fun project.
I'll still have some projects to share from Gel-a-tins, so be sure to come back!

CDS Product Parade Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of the Clear Dollar Stamps Product Parade!  There are only a couple of things to show today, but I think you're going to LOVE them!

This first one is AWESOME!  The stamp set is called Build a Quilt and there is a matching Die called Build a Quilt Die to go with it.  How awesome is that?!  I had so much fun using these 2 together, and the possibilities are almost endless on what you could do with it!
 Stamps:  Build a Quilt
Ink:  CDS Hot Cocoa, SU Crumb Cake
Paper:  SU River Rock, CDS Cottonball White, CC Delovely
Accessories:  CDS Build a Quilt Die, CDS Tabs & Tags Die, sponge, CDS Bubble Gum ribbon

Here is the inside:

The other awesome set I'm showing you is called Calendar Tags.  The possibilities with this set are just endless!  I decided to make a magnetic set out of it and leave it fairly generic, but you could really go crazy decorating it up if you wanted.  I used a magnetic tin and some magnet sheets to make it.

Can't you just see this on a desk or in your work space.  All of the numbers are easily contained, and the dates can be changed out very easily!

Stamps:  Calendar Tags
Ink:  CDS Hot Cocoa
Paper:  CDS Hot Cocoa, buttercream, CC Odds & Ends
Accessories:  magnet sheet, tin, sponge, CDS Tabs  & Tags Die

Tomorrow there will be more to see, but in the mean time you can go shopping right now!  Be sure to check out the rest of the DT's creations (links in my sidebar), and head to Lori's blog to see even more.  Go to Clear Dollar Stamps to shop right now!
