Gel-a-tins Congrats for Baby

Good morning everyone!  It's going to be a bit quiet on here for a bit, because I'm undergoing shoulder surgery to repair some damage from a fall last year.  No worries and no big deal, but I didn't want anyone to think that I had fallen off of the face of the earth.

I will leave you with a couple of cards that I made using the ever awesome Gel-a-tins set called Rock-a-Bye-Baby.  This first one uses papers from MME Playground.  I used the ribbon stamp in the set to create a little sidewalk :)
Stamps:  Rock-a-Bye-Baby
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento London Fog, SU Summer Sun
Paper:  CDS Grape Jelly, CDS Cottonball White, MME Playgournd
Accessories:  TE Tiny Twinkles, dimensionals, corner chomper, heart sticker, MFT Fresh Cut Grass Die-namics

This last one uses the Nestabilities Scalloped Pennet with some airbrushing and the little popped up stork and baby.  It fits perfectly into a standard invitation envelope!
Stamps:  Rock-a-Bye-Baby
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  CDS Cottonball White
Accessories:  Copics, green button, yellow Baker's Twine, dimensionals

I am hoping that my recovery time will be fast and that I'll be back at it in no time.  If not, I do have a few things up my sleeves to dazzle you with just in case :)

Sending Sunshine

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday celebrating the resurrection of our Lord.  We had a wonderful service at church, and then a very nice sort of lazy day with our little family here at home.  I had hoped for some stamping, but that didn't happen so I'll show you a card I sent out last week.  I used the new Taylored Expressions set called Banner Day 2 that I received for my birthday from Christi.  This uses a few different dies from a few different companies:
Stamps:  Banner Day 2
Ink:  SU Not Quite Navy
Paper:  CDS Mustard Seed, MME Hattie
Accessories:  Banner Day 2 Die, Easy Rosettes Die, Simply Scallops Medium Die-namics, dimensionals, MME Hattie brads

I'm hoping for more stamping time later, but it doesn't look good.  I have a doctor's appointment, we have school (of course), and then we finish the day with some games.  Have a fantastic day everyone, and thanks for stopping by!

You Mean the World

I received some great RAK from Christi yesterday!  Occasionally we send each other some slightly used rubber, so that the other can enjoy.  I received this beauty called You Mean the World to Me from MFT.  I decided to use it for the MFT Weekly Sketch Challenge going on over at Splitcoaststampers, however I got that sketch confused with the Mojo Monday sketch, LOL.  I wanted to participate in both, so I guess I got the Mojo one done first!  I guess that means I'll just have to make time in the craft cave again. . .shucks (insert sarcastic chuckle).
Stamps:  You Mean the World to Me
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  OA Report Card, buttercream, unknown blue
Accessories:  Copics, dimensionals, red ribbon, red glimmer brad, Large Scallop Edge Die-namic, Tags Trio Nestabilities, CDS Oval Dies

Maybe you can come back later to see the MFT sketch card, lol.  Thanks for stopping by :)

Taylored Expressions April Blog Hop

Are you enjoying the Taylored Expressions April Blog Hop?!  I loved the idea of this hop being a CAS card.  Originally I had made a card a few weeks ago and even took a picture of it for this hop.  However, the more I looked at it, the more I didn't like it.  I decided to use my new Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit for this card.  The set I used is called Downtown Diva.  We all know I have a love affair with Cuppie and I've passed that onto as many friends as possible, muhuahahaha.
Stamps:  Downtown Diva
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Ridinghood Red
Paper:  April TE KI Kit, CDS Cottonball White
Accessories:  Copics, window punch, notebook punch, April TE KI Kit, dimensionals, corner punch

If you didn't start this hop at the beginning, you're going to want to.  You certainly don't want to miss any TE goodness.  While you're at it, you should sign up for next month's hop.  Taylor gives one random participant a prize, and she features some of the cards in her newsletter.  Last month I was so tickled to be one of the features :)  Now get to hoppin'!

Good morning!  I'm posting a quick card before I head out with my kids to pottery class.  I made this using the Card Patterns sketch, and I made it for the Paper Smooches Guest Designer challenge.  I used this adorable set from Paper Smooches called Falling for You.  Kim's images are just too cute!  I mean, who doesn't love an apple with heart seeds?!

CDS April Blog Hop

Hello, hello!  Welcome to the Clear Dollar Stamps April Blog Hop themed:

Earth laughs in flowers -- Ralph Waldo Emerson

If you just happened upon my blog, you're going to want to head back to Lori's blog to get all the details.  Otherwise, you should have come from Stacy's blog.  I used a new sentiment stamp from CDS: Thanks for helping me bloom.  CDS has a ton of different flower sets that this would work so beautifully with, but I decided to use my Blooming Bouquet Die from CDS and some felt to create some dimension.  I colored my buttons with my airbrush and my Y17 Copic marker.
Stamps:  Thanks for helping me bloom (sentiment)
Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black
Paper:  buttercream, CDS Bee Pollen, CC Salt Air, SU Real Red
Copics:  Y17 & airbrush
Accessories:  buttons, CDS Blooming Bouquet Die, black embossing powder
I'm th end of the hop, so I hope you left comments on each of the participating DT's blogs, because there will be random winners from all the comments.  I hope you found some inspiration today :D

Yay for Saturdays and getting to sleep in!  Unfortunately I slept right through the tornado sirens last night. . .great mom that I am, haha.  The sun is shining now, and it looks like a great day for some baseball!

I have a card to show you this morning that I made for a couple of challenges.  I used the sketch from MFT Weekly Sketch challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  I also made this for the Wee Memories, All Things Adorable challenge.  I used my favorite Copic paper, which is Clear Dollar Stamps Cottonball White, for the Copic Creations challenge.

I used this adorable PI girl from MFT called Beach Bum.

Rock-a-Bye-Baby

Happy Friday, my friends!  I am showing this set from Gel-a-Tins called Rock-a-Bye-Baby!  We all know how I'm really into babies right now because my sister is expecting, so this set just adds fuel to that fire, hehe.  I made this card for a couple of different challenges.  It uses the sketch from Mojo Monday.  I also colored the button & the crocheted flower with my Copics and my airbrush system for the iCopic challenge of coloring your own embellishment.  I colored a cream button blue, and the white flower was sprayed with a light brown to give it an antiqued look.
Stamps:  Rock-a-Bye-Baby
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Tea Dye & Vintage Photo Distress inks
Paper:  unknown blue & green, CDS Raging River, buttercream, OA Modern Homemaker
Accessories:  Copics & airbrushing, button, crocheted flower, yellow ribbon, red ricrac, MFT Doily & Fresh Cut Grass Die-namics, sponge

Mom's Birthday Card

Yesterday was my mother's birthday, and all she wanted was for us to cook her something using the Big Easy.  The Big Easy is actually an oil-less turkey fryer from Char-broil that can cook all sorts of different things.  We cooked a pork tenderloin, and boy oh boy was it de-lish!  That and my daughter made Grandma a Mega Cupcake, haha.

I made this card for my mother using the set from The Cat's Pajamas called A Girl and Her Cake.  She loved it, so I guess I did okay :)  I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday.
Stamps:  A Girl and Her Cake
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Paper:  CDS Cottonball White, MME Good Day Sunshine
Accessories:  stamples, Copics & airbrush, dew drops, corner chomper, Glossy Glaze, Chocolate Liquid Pearls, dimensionals

Batty in Love

There are lots of things I seem to be Batty in Love with. . .my God, my husband, my kids, Paper Smooches images. . .just to name a few, hehe.

I made this card last night with a few challenges in mind.  I've been wanting to throw my hat in the ring for the iCopic Design Team, so I had to use the color pink.  I also made it for the May Guest Design spot over at Paper Smooches.  Lastly, I used the sketch from Sketch and Stash (my stash being this adorable new set I got from Paper Smooches called Falling for You).
Stamps:  Falling for You
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Certainly Celery
Paper:  TE March KI Kit, buttercream, SU Basic Black
Copics:  R20, R22, R24 & airbrush
Accessories:  CDS Tabs & Tags Die, Oval Nestabilities, dimensionals, white gel pen, black twine, natural buttons, black pen

I promise I will post my mother's bday card later. . .I just don't want to risk her actually seeing it ;)

A Wedding Card

I'm not sure what is going on with Photbucket, but it is causing me to rethink my blog design, grrrr.  It would be a lot of work to redo it, but maybe it would be worth it.  Oh, no time now, so onto the card I have.

Clear Dollar Stamps digi section is sponsoring Sweet Sketch Wednesday!  The image I used is not a digi, but is a new release called Wedding Cake.  Since I have a cousin getting married this weekend, I thought it would be great to make him and his new bride a check/gift card holder card.  I used the sketch from SSW, and I used the theme from Creative Craft World which was weddings/anniversaries.
The inside has a pocket for the check or giftcard.
Stamps:  Wedding Cake
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  CDS Cottonball White, MME For the Record
Copics:  Y15, Y17, BG13, BG15, BG18, YG63, YG67, R27, T1, T7, & airbrush
Accessories:  Circle & Lables 17 Nestabilties, TE Tiny Twinkles, dimensionals, CDS Lemon Zest ribbon, corner chomper, white ribbon

Today is my mother's birthday, and I do have a card for her to show, so I'll hopefully be back later.  That, and I hope to be able to fix my darn background, grrrr.

A Welcome Home for the Neighbor

Whenever my neighbor goes out of town, I take care of her cat, Stimpy.  Stimpy is easy, as are most cats.  All I have to do is make sure she has food and water and that she is still alive, haha.  Stimpy hides, so I usually just look for her, and then I'm out the door.  It's become a thing that Stimpy 'leave' a card or a project for her mother while they are away.  Last time Stimpy crafted a scrapbook layout of her mother in the paper, and she left a card to tell her mom how proud she was.  This time, we left this card, haha.  Since that cat always hides, I thought this image from the set Cat-tastic from Clear Dollar Stamps was perfect.

I used the sketch from Card Patterns to give 'us' a jump start.
The images in this set always make me laugh.  I ended up pairing it with another CDS set called Nice Neighborhood for the wording.
Stamps:  Cat-tastic, Nice Neighborhood
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  buttercream, CC Social Club
Accessories:  Octagon & Scalloped Octagon Nestabilties, Large Scallop Die-namics MFT, red yarn, Copics & airbrush, dimensionals

TCP Tuesday on a Saturday with some Inkspiration

I've only gotten to play in one of the The Cat's Pajamas Tuesday Challenges, so I thought I'd try my hand at another one.  Sony is the hostess, and she challenged us to use the colors: yellow, orange, and teal.  I decided to get a head start on my father-in-law's birthday card.  The adorable image from Forget About the Cake was just too perfect, and I separated the sentiment so that the 'You're not getting older.' is on the front, and the inside has the sentiment 'You're getting A LOT older.', LOL.  He'll love it and expect that kind of humor from me, hehe.  The sketch is from Inkspirations!
Stamps:  Forget About the Cake

Accessories:  Copics, Circle Nestabilities, Easy Rosettes Die (TCP), dimensionals, baker's twine, Icing Die (TCP)

Clear Dollar Stamps Product Parade Day 3

It's Day 3 of the Product Parade, where the DT is showing you all the yumminess we've made for all of the sets that were released on the 7th at the Clear Dollar Stamps store!  All of my cards today honor the men in our lives, because all of the sets were made for just that!

This first card and gift card holder was made with a set called Father's Day.  It has some fun images for every kind of dad.  My dad is a mechanic so this one isn't that fitting for him, because I don't know if I've EVER seen my dad in a tie, haha.  Regardless, that shirt and tie were fun to paper piece.
I made the gift card holder by tearing apart an old gc holder from a retail store and just tracing it.  It worked like a charm!
 Stamps:  Father's Day
Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black
Paper:  MME Good Day Sunshine, CDS Worn Parchment
Accessories:  dimensionals, black embossing powder, twine

My second card is made with a new sentiment set called For Our Men.  I used it with this great set called Railroad Memories.  Using the Cracked Glass technique is fun, and I love the look it gives to this vintage feel card.  I'll be sending this one to my grandpa for sure!
Stamps:  For Our Men, Railroad Memories
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, CDS Ripe Olive, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Paper:  Lillypad green, buttercream, MME Lush
Accessories:  sponge, clear embossing powder, MME Lush brad, brown ribbon

This last one is more up my dad's ally.  It uses a new single sentiment stamp called 'Wheely Great Dad', and and paired it with the awesome Motorcycle Mania set.  The image is watercolored and popped up.
Here is a close up of that fun sentiment.
Stamps:  Wheely Great Dad, Motorcycle Mania
Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black
Paper:  unknown dp, unknown black
Tombows:  black, Blueberry Patch, Stone Slab
Accessories:  glitter brads, dimensionals, clear & black embossing powders, metal piece, Diamond Plate embossing folder, aqua brush

Now you can head over to the rest of the DT's blogs (links in my sidebar) to see greatness.  Check out Lori's blog as well and you can shop NOW at the CDS store too!  More Product Parade tomorrow :D

Clear Dollar Stamps Product Parade Day 2

If you saw yesterday's post, you know that Clear Dollar Stamps released everything yesterday in the store for you shopping pleasure.  Over the few days the DT will show you what you can do with the new releases through the Product Parade!

This first set is a wonderful sentiment set called A Godly Mother.  I paired it with Bitty Botanicals, and tried the Bleach Technique with Copic Colorless Blending Solution rather than ink and bleach.
This set features some great sentiments for Mother's Day that you can mix and match or do whatever.

Stamps:  A Godly Mother, Bitty Botanicals
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Rose Red
Paper:  CDS Cottonball White, CDS Spring Leaf, CDS Pineapple Twist
Copics:  RV29, airbrush, & colorless blender solution
Accessories:  Scalloped Edge punch, white ribbon

My next card features the new set called A Godly Father.  I used it with a great set called Scenic Trees.  As you can see I went with a theme (sorta) with both of my cards today.  They both used Copic airbrushing.  This Father's Day card is more of a sunset landscape, and I really like how it turned out.  I can't wait to send it to my father-in-law.
 Such a great verse!
This speaks exactly what my father-in-law has been to my husband.
Stamps:  A Godly Father, Scenic Trees
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  CDS Worn Parchment, buttercream
Copics:  YR14, YR68, Y15, B21, B23, B24, C7, 100, & airbrush
Accessories:  twine, black button, black pen

If you like what you saw, you'll love what the rest of the DT did (links in my sidebar)!  Plus, you can buy it all NOW!  You can head over to Lori's blog for more details or go directly to the CDS store and buy, buy, buy!  Come back tomorrow for more from the Product Parade!

A Few Challenges

I got a chance to work on a card for a few challenges!  I love it when it works out that way.  Since my actual birthday was a bit hectic in some respects I took yesterday off too, haha.  Really at my age, just some 'me' time is a hot commodity on the ol' b-day.

I used one of my new MFT stamps called One Sweet Chick, and I paired it up with a Spring Project Pantry Kit from Taylored Expressions.  Here are the challenges I entered this card in:

Raise the Bar -- Hey Chick
Stamps:  One Sweet Chick
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  Spring Project Pantry Kit, CDS Cottonball White, CDS Billowing Clouds
Accessories:  Fresh Cut Grass Die-namics (MFT), swirl ribbon, Circle & Labels Nestabilities, pink glitter brads, Copics & airbrush

So there you have it!  Be sure to stop by a bit later, because I'll have Day 2 of the CDS Project Parade to show you.  You won't want to miss it :D

My Paper Smooches B-day Card

Yesterday was my birthday!  While I was hoping to get some stamping done. . .it didn't happen.  My daughter had piano, I had lots of loving friends and family call to wish me a happy birthday so I was on the phone a lot, and my son got sick with fever.  To top it off, my husband broke his toe at a work Ultimate Football game. . .poor guy.  I did get some yummy steaks off the grill and an overall relaxing day; just no stamping.  Sooooo, I've decided to take today to stamp, haha.  I'm allowed a couple of days to celebrate, right?!

I made this card for the Paper Smooches guest dt search.  I used the ever adorable Birthday Buddies set, and made this card for my sweet nephew whose birthday is next week.  I just love that cute little beaver, hehe.
Stamps:  Birthday Buddies
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, CDS Tropical Mist, SU Night of Navy
Paper:  MME dp, CDS Cottonball White

Gel-a-tins Baby Shower Invite

If you've been reading my blog on a regular basis, you know that my sister is having a baby.  WELL, she's having a girl!  That is why this Baby Shower invite is geared more towards a girl.  It was pretty easy to make, so it would be really easy to duplicate.  I love that this set called Rock-a-Bye Baby from Gel-a-tins even has a stamp that looks like a ribbon.  I stamped the sentiment 'Baby Shower' all over the back behind the bassinet in pink.
Stamps:  Rock-a-Bye Baby
Ink:  CDS Hot Cocoa, SU Pink Pirouette
Paper:  parchment, MME Good Day Sunshine
Accessories:  Icicle Stickles, CDS Tabs & Tags Die, slit punch, flower brad

Go check out the Gel-a-tins blog to see all of the wonderful designs that the rest of the DT came up with last month!

Clearly Inspired Challenge #25

It's April (as if you didn't know), and that means the start of some new challenges over at Clearly iStamp.  The winners from last month have been posted along with CIC25.  The first challenge of the month is a CAS challenge.  Clean and Simple can be so great and so hard for some.  I like CAS, because they are easy to duplicate.  I literally made this card in 5 minutes.  This card uses an older set called Monster Mash from Clear Dollar Stamps.  The paper is from CDS too and it's called Lime Juice.
Stamps:  Monster Mash
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  CDS Lime Juice, SU dp
Accessories:  Prismacolor & gamsol, googly eyes

So head on over to Clearly iStamp to get the details on the challenge.  The more players we have for the month of April, the more winners there will be.  PLUS, the new releases will be shown in just a few days!
