That's right, I'm at it again with the MFT Guest Designer challenge! I should be cleaning, and it's kind of ironic that I chose to make a card with the Who's That Girl image of her cleaning called Maid for You, hehe. I certainly don't dress like that to clean. The challenge for this month's Guest Designer card was 'Wow, that's HOT!' That could be interpreted a few different ways. You could use summer colors, new products, or hot and steamy, hehe. I chose a hot and steamy image with the Delovely paper pack from Cosmo Cricket. . .a hot new product :)
It's the Final Day of Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks, and that means you only have to wait until tomorrow to place your order! This first set I'm showing is so perfect for Father's Day or for male birthdays, or any occasion for any man in your life. It's called Gone Fishing, and it has some great sentiments and gorgeous images to match. I broke out my Prismacolor Pencils for this one, and really enjoyed coloring this amazing image.
Accessories: Prismacolor Pencils & gamsol, circle cutter, linen thread, dimesionals
My final sneak to show for this month is a stamp called Norman Snail, and isn't he just adorable?! I paired him up with a favorite sentiment set of mine from Clear Dollar Stamps called Kid Encouragement. I just had to match him up with CDS Turquoise Gem paper, because it just screamed 'Norman', lol.
CDS Stamps: Norman Snail, Kid Encouragement
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento Hot Cocoa
Paper: Turquoise Gem, Hot Cocoa, & Worn Parchment (CDS), buttercream
It's Day 2 of the Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks, and there is so much to see. The first set I'm showing is called Mushroom Whimsey, and it's a set of 20 for only $14.99. It is a new favorite of mine, because it has so many possibilities. I did some masking on this sneak.
CDS Stamps: Mushroom Whimsey
Paper: Neenah Solar White, Bubble Gum, Ripe Olive (CDS)
The next set is so beautiful. It thrills me to no end that CDS has so many wonderful scripture sets to choose from. This set is called Scripture Children and is a set of 6 for only $9.99. The silhouetted children are so touching. This sneak also uses more new colors from CDS's new color line. The papers are so rich and the ribbons match so perfectly.
CDS Stamps: Scripture Children
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Certainly Celery, Not Quite Navy
Paper: Toasted Almond, Deep Sea (CDS), October Afternoon Report Card
Tomorrow is the last day of sneak peeks, so be sure to come back and check out the rest of what I have to show. Keep those lists handy. . .it will all be available on the 1st of June over at Clear Dollar Stamps!
Hello, hello! It's Saturday morning, and I have had the best week with my sister! This is why I haven't been posting or commenting much, but she leaves today so I'll need some crafting in order to cope. We've been busy all week making wedding invitations for her wedding in October. . .so fun!
Today, as you may have guessed, is the Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks Day 1, and I love this time of the month! Not only are there new sets to see, but CDS is also releasing another line of papers and this month is another amazing month for colors! I LOVE this collection. I also have 2 cards to show you, so let's get to it! The first card was made with June's Stamp of the Month called A Tweet Hello. I just fell in love with this adorable little set. You're just gonna love what the rest of the DT has made with it as well.
CDS Stamps: A Tweet Hello June SOM
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Bashful Blue
Paper: Neenah Solar White, Pucker Up (CDS), unknown cloud dp
My next card for today's sneaks uses 2 new stamps on it. The first is the Flying Dove and the second is the Praying for You sentiment. I used the new ultra fine micro beads that CDS carries on this card. Oh, I have so much fun using that stuff, and I think it adds so much to a card. I also used my Plumes & Blooms set as well.
CDS Stamps: Flying Dove, Praying for You, Plumes & Blooms
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie, Ridinghood Red
Copics: C1, Y17
Accessories: Labels 11 Nestabilities, Ultra Fine Microbeads, sheet of Scor-tape, flower & pearls with stick pin, Cherry Go Round ribbon, dimensionals
This has been a wonderful week for me, because my sister is here from California! I've been enjoying her tremendously, and we've been working on wedding stuff for her wedding in October. I'm working on her invitations, while she preps some other stuff.
I made this for the Get Sketchy sketch challenge with one of my newest MFT stamps called Lather, Rinse, Repeat. That little Pure Innocence girl is so darn cute! I paired her up with the new Cosmo Cricket paper called DeLovely that I bought from Clear Dollar Stamps.
Hello all! Yes, it is really late on a Friday night, and I should be in bed but I went for a run so I am wide awake. I said in my last post that I received my Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit the other day, so I've been having a blast playing with it. I only wish I had ordered more of the cardstock, because I am blowing through that, haha. I made these for last Sunday's Sketch & Stamp challenge. I loved the sketch, so I just had to join in.The sketch was so fun, and I was enjoying my KI kit so much that I made 2 cards for the challenge.
Stamps: Thanks Triple Scoop set (MFT)
Ink: Memento Hot Cocoa, Handsome Hunter
Paper: May KI Kit (TE)
Accessories: rub-ons form the May KI Kit, Argyle, Swiss Dots, & D'vine Swirls embossing folders, sponge, hunter buttons, twine, circle cutter, Curly Label punch
All right, I should probably go to bed. We have ball games all day, and my sister is flying in from CA. I haven't seen her in 2 1/2 years! G'night all!
I actually made this for 4 different challenges, and I was so proud of myself. I really stepped out of the box on this one, but I guess I figured I could after my Easel card the other day. For the Wednesday Stamp club over at MFT, we were asked to watercolor. I really haven't done that recently, but it was fun to break out the watercolor supplies, and I really like the look. I used my Sheltering Tree from MFT, and a hand crocheted heart. At Simon Says, we were supposed to make a tent card. I had never done that before, but I sure love the look! At the Little Red Wagon, you were supposed to put a window on your card. What a fun challenge, and so out of my box, hehe. On top of all of that, I used the colors from the ColorQ, which were Bermuda Bay, Kiwi Kiss, Summer Sun, Soft Suede, & White. I love those colors together!
Stamps: Sheltering Tree (MFT)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Kiwi Kiss, Soft Suede
Paper: Bermuda Bay, Paper Crate dp, watercolor paper, Neenah Solar White
Accessories: aqua painter, Soft Suede ribbon, crocheted heart, white brad, brown thread, circle cutters, Bermuda Bay marker (SU), Bee Pollen & Cream Soda markers (CDS)
I received my Taylored ExpressionsMay Key Ingredients Kit yesterday, and got right to work. This months colors are so vibrant, and I love it! I used the sketch from Card Patterns to make this set of 4 cards that I plan to stick in my Etsy Shop. I've had some outside special orders, and I would love to see if these will sell in the shop.
Stamps: Branching Out (TE)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Not Quite Navy
Paper: paper from the May KI Kit, Neenah Solar White
I am so excited to be a part of the first ever Taylored Expressions customer blog hop, and the theme is Blast from the Past! We were given a sketch to use if we chose to, and I certainly wanted to! Since the theme is what it is, I thought it would be fitting to use one of the original Cuppie sets, Sweet Celebration. I also thought it would be fitting to use one of my past Key Ingredients Kits from Taylored Expressions, since I am so hooked on them. Does Cuppie look great in a patterned baking cup?!
Stamps: Sweet Celebration
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Barely Banana
Paper: January KI Kit, Neenah Solar White
Accessories: circle cutter, sponge, Copics, dimensionals, linen thread, January KI Kit
I hope you enjoyed stopping by. . .now keep on hopping!
I'm sliding in right before the challenge ends, but I made this for the Clearly Delightful Blog Challenge #5, which was to use green and blue on your main image. I used this adorable little freebie called Apple Snack from the Doodle Pantry. Laurie is just so darn talented!
Images: Apple Snack
Ink: Rose Red
Paper: Sahara Sand, Neenah Solar White, Lime Juice & Turquoise Gem (CDS)
Accessories: circle cutters, Copics, Tiny Bubbles & Stylized Flower embossing folders, Rose Red marker, Prismacolor & gamsol, buttons
I'm hooked now! This is my first Easel card, and I just love it! I just noticed, while doing my normal blurfing (that word makes me giggle), that several challenge blogs had an Easel card as the challenge. I've seen so many around and thought I would just go ahead and take the plunge. I used one of my new favorite Clear Dollar Stamps sets called Bold Bouquet. I've been enjoying using the Rock and Roll Technique with it. I also decided to use up some more of my March KI Kit from Taylored Expressions.
Ink: Memento Hot Cocoa, Mellow Moss, Creamy Caramel, Barely Banana, Summer Sun, Bermuda Bay
Paper: paper from my March KI Kit, Neenah Solar White
Accessories: Loop punch from Martha Stewart, Liquid Pearls, Labels 4 & Large Labels Nestabilities, sponges, dimensionals, stick pin, brown ribbon, brown mini brads (CDS)
These cards were just a few that I made with the kit that I plan to put in my Etsy Shop. I had a recent order for a grouping of cards, and it inspired me to do it again. Head on over to the shop if you're interested or email me.
CDS Stamps: Bold Bouquet & Kids Encouragement
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Baja Breeze, Memento Hot Cocoa
Paper: paper from March KI Kit
Accessories: dimesionals & things from the March KI Kit
Now that I'm stuck at home, I'm sure I'll do endless amounts of laundry, disinfect every surface in this house to eliminate the germs that are making us sick, and hopefully make a card or two. Hope you all have a great Sunday!
Stamps: Rainfall Flopsey
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark
Paper: Lemon Zest (CDS), Basic Gray, Going Gray (SU), K&Co dp, Neenah Solar White
It's Sunday morning, but we are stuck at home because of sickness. . .so no church for us :( Why not do some challenges since we can't go anywhere? I made this using the sketch from Get Sketchy, and the colors from the Play Date Cafe. The image is a May release from Clear Dollar Stamps called Vintage Spices. I love all of the images in this set. I also used the papers from CDS's Clearly Coordinating Collection, and the ribbon is from their Spring line.
CDS Stamps: Vintage Spices
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Bashful Blue, Green Galore

I'm at home while my baby is resting. Poor thing has a fever and had to miss her ball game this morning. I made this for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club. We were to antique or try to change the look of our papers by sponging or antiquing. I thought it sounded like a ton of fun, so I pulled out my Spring Collection of MFT paper packs to see how I could make it look different. I LOVE the effect I got just by embossing and sponging it with Tea Dye Distress ink. I used my new Top Shelf set. . .love it!
Stamps: Top Shelf (MFT)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Tea Dye Distress ink
Paper: Sahara Sand, Neenah Solar White, Spring Paper Pack (MFT)
Accessories: sponge, Double Ended Tags Nestabilities, half back pearls, pink ribbon, stick pin & pearls, Victoria embossing folder
Woohoo, it's the 15th and that means Digi Release Day over at Clear Dollar Stamps! I am showing 2 of the 5 fantastic stamps that are being released. The first one I have for you is called Watermelon Lunch, and isn't it just adorable?! I love Laurie's little worms. . .hehe, they make me giggle. This image comes with 3 great sentiments that are just perfect. I had to pair it up with some picnic-y type paper, and then make the napkins around their necks match.
CDS Images: Watermelon Lunch digi
Paper: Neenah Solar White, October Afternoon Farm Fresh dp
My next card was made with the image called Swimming Mallard. It's perfect with Father's Day being just around the corner. This image also comes with a total of 3 sentiments, making it perfect for all kinds of occasions.

Paper: Worn Parchment, Neenah Solar White, Deep Sea, Wild Ginger
Accessories: Prismacolor & gamsol, Chocolate Chip marker, air art tool
I won't bore you with the details of this last week that have made it so difficult, but the good news is I found time to craft today. If I started telling you all the tales I have, you'd start to think I was Debbie Downer, haha. So, I'm just not going there. I received my MFT order at the beginning of the week and wasn't able to ink anything up until just a few moments ago, so here is Little Loveosaurus. He is so darn cute! I made this for my nephew, whose birthday happens to fall on the same day as my son's. Here are the challenges I have made it for:
It's been one heck of a week over here, and I sure am glad it's Friday. Now I just need to get through the weekend. . .there is so much on the plate my head hurts just thinking about it. That must mean I need more coffee, hehe. Pray for me. . .I'll be delivering part of the message on Sunday. Yikes!
Ok, onto business. It's Clearly Inspired Challenge time over at ClearlyiStamp. This week's challenge is stemmed from the phrase 'April Showers bring May flowers'. Now that we are in May, let's focus on those flowers! I used this oldie, but goody called Bold Bouquet, and another called Kid Encouragements. I am loving both of these sets! I think I was actually successful with the rock and roll technique too! I paired it up with this yummy Cosmo Cricket paper called Garden Variety. I also used the sketch from Mojo Monday, and the colors from Paper Sundaes, which were red, yellow, and green.
CDS Stamps: Bold Bouquet, Kid Encouragements
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Riding Hood Red, Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Sweet Pea (CDS), buttercream, Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety
Remember that you don't have to have Clear Dollar Stamps to participate in the challenge, but we would love to see them if you've got them. Stop on by the store and check out all the wonderful stamp sets, papers, ribbon, and embellies that CDS carries!
I couldn't help but not be impressed by my first go 'round with the MFT Guest Designer Challenge for May. With that in mind, I decided to try again. I didn't see anything in the rules about only entering once, so I thought why not. Again, the challenge was to use fabric. I made some little fabric flowers with ribbon on punched out pieces of a glue sheet. I really like the way that they look. I used my new Sheltering Tree Set from MFT.
It's that time of the month again. . .the MFT Guest Design challenge. We've been challenged to use fabric on our card, and I have to say that I didn't think I would be able to participate. I do have a little fabric, but it's all in the attic and I wasn't sure I wanted to go up there. Then I remembered I had a bit in the garage, so I headed out there to take a look. Sure enough, I did have one small sqaure of this red with stars fabric. On top of that, I had some twill, so I stamped my sentiment on that. I used the sketch over at Card Positioning Systems, because I liked it so much. I used one of my new MFT sets called Lovin' from the Oven, which I LOVE.
Stamps: Lovin' from the Oven
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: buttercream, October Afternoon On the Farm, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: fabric, twill ribbon, Copics, red buttons, brown thread, Labels 11 Nestabilities
I just now realized that this card needed to be posted by midnight tonight. I had made this for the Limelight challenge, which was a sketch and sparkles. I also made it with the Color Dare in mind, because my bff, Christi, is stepping down from their DT. Unfortunately, they haven't actually posted the challenge, which is supposed to post on Wednesdays. I used an April Clear Dollar Stamps release set called Blooming with Blessings.
Stamps: Blooming with Blessings (CDS)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red, Kiwi Kiss, Bashful Blue
Paper: Billowing Clouds (CDS), Tangelo Smoothie (CDS), Neenah Solar White
For those of you that had had us in your thoughts about my poor dog and her surgery, she is home and fine. She's been doing a lot of resting, and I finally got her to eat something today. That's a little less stress on my plate now. I spent some time in my 'craft cave' because I wasn't feeling well, and that always does the trick. I made this card using the sketch over at Taylor's blog, and the colors from the Curtain Call. The colors we were to use are Rose Red, Not Quite Navy, Kraft, and white.
Clear Dollar Stamps has just introduced their second line of colors in the Clearly Coordinating Collection called Spring Whispers. Head on over to Lori's blog to see them and get more details, and then head over to the CDS store to order all of the goodies! Lori even has a free digital background for you to download! Don't miss out ;D
