MFT Guest Designer Card

That's right, I'm at it again with the MFT Guest Designer challenge! I should be cleaning, and it's kind of ironic that I chose to make a card with the Who's That Girl image of her cleaning called Maid for You, hehe. I certainly don't dress like that to clean. The challenge for this month's Guest Designer card was 'Wow, that's HOT!' That could be interpreted a few different ways. You could use summer colors, new products, or hot and steamy, hehe. I chose a hot and steamy image with the Delovely paper pack from Cosmo Cricket. . .a hot new product :)
Stamps: Maid for You (MFT)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Bubble Gum (CDS), buttercream, Cosmo Cricket DeLovely dp
Accessories: Copics, dimensionals, Ornamental embossing folder, crocheted heart, buttons, unknown ribbon

Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peek Day 1

Hello, hello! It's Saturday morning, and I have had the best week with my sister! This is why I haven't been posting or commenting much, but she leaves today so I'll need some crafting in order to cope. We've been busy all week making wedding invitations for her wedding in October. . .so fun!

Today, as you may have guessed, is the Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks Day 1, and I love this time of the month! Not only are there new sets to see, but CDS is also releasing another line of papers and this month is another amazing month for colors! I LOVE this collection. I also have 2 cards to show you, so let's get to it! The first card was made with June's Stamp of the Month called A Tweet Hello. I just fell in love with this adorable little set. Sunday Sketch & Stash on Friday

Hello all! Yes, it is really late on a Friday night, and I should be in bed but I went for a run so I am wide awake. I said in my last post that I received my Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit the other day, so I've been having a blast playing with it. I only wish I had ordered more of the cardstock, because I am blowing through that, haha. I made these for last Sunday's Sketch & Stamp challenge. I loved the sketch, so I just had to join in.The sketch was so fun, and I was enjoying my KI kit so much that I made 2 cards for the challenge.
Stamps: Thanks Triple Scoop set (MFT)
Ink: Memento Hot Cocoa, Handsome Hunter
Paper: May KI Kit (TE)
Accessories: rub-ons form the May KI Kit, Argyle, Swiss Dots, & D'vine Swirls embossing folders, sponge, hunter buttons, twine, circle cutter, Curly Label punch
All right, I should probably go to bed. We have ball games all day, and my sister is flying in from CA. I haven't seen her in 2 1/2 years! G'night all!

A Happy Saturday

I actually made this for 4 different challenges, and I was so proud of myself. I really stepped out of the box on this one, but I guess I figured I could after my Easel card the other day. For the Wednesday Stamp club over at MFT, we were asked to watercolor. I really haven't done that recently, but it was fun to break out the watercolor supplies, and I really like the look. I used my Sheltering Tree from MFT, and a hand crocheted heart. At Simon Says, we were supposed to make a tent card. I had never done that before, but I sure love the look! At the Little Red Wagon, you were supposed to put a window on your card. What a fun challenge, and so out of my box, hehe. On top of all of that, I used the colors from the ColorQ, which were Bermuda Bay, Kiwi Kiss, Summer Sun, Soft Suede, & White. I love those colors together!

TE Blast From the Past Blog Hop

I am so excited to be a part of the first ever Taylored Expressions customer blog hop, and the theme is Blast from the Past! We were given a sketch to use if we chose to, and I certainly wanted to! Since the theme is what it is, I thought it would be fitting to use one of the original Cuppie sets, Sweet Celebration. I also thought it would be fitting to use one of my past Key Ingredients Kits from Taylored Expressions, since I am so hooked on them. Does Cuppie look great in a patterned baking cup?!
Stamps: Sweet Celebration
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Barely Banana

I've seen so many around and thought I would just go ahead and take the plunge. I used one of my new favorite Clear Dollar Stamps sets called Bold Bouquet. I've been enjoying using the Rock and Roll Technique with it. I also decided to use up some more of my March KI Kit from Taylored Expressions.

I made this using the sketch from Get Sketchy, and the colors from the Play Date Cafe. The image is a May release from Clear Dollar Stamps called Vintage Spices. I love all of the images in this set. If you are looking for the new CDS digis, scroll down.

I'm at home while my baby is resting. Poor thing has a fever and had to miss her ball game this morning. I made this for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club. We were to antique or try to change the look of our papers by sponging or antiquing. I thought it sounded like a ton of fun, so I pulled out my Spring Collection of MFT paper packs to see how I could make it look different. I'm back with a few challenges!

I won't bore you with the details of this last week that have made it so difficult, but the good news is I found time to craft today. If I started telling you all the tales I have, you'd start to think I was Debbie Downer, haha. So, I'm just not going there. I received my MFT order at the beginning of the week and wasn't able to ink anything up until just a few moments ago, so here is Little Loveosaurus. He is so darn cute! I made this for my nephew, whose birthday happens to fall on the same day as my son's. Here are the challenges I have made it for:

Clearly Inspired Challenge #13

It's been one heck of a week over here, and I sure am glad it's Friday. Now I just need to get through the weekend. . .there is so much on the plate my head hurts just thinking about it. That must mean I need more coffee, hehe. Pray for me. . .I'll be delivering part of the message on Sunday. Yikes!

Ok, onto business. It's Clearly Inspired Challenge time over at ClearlyiStamp. This week's challenge is stemmed from the phrase 'April Showers bring May flowers'. Now that we are in May, let's focus on those flowers! I used this oldie, but goody called Bold Bouquet, and another called Kid Encouragements. I am loving both of these sets! I think I was actually successful with the rock and roll technique too! I paired it up with this yummy Cosmo Cricket paper called Garden Variety. I also used the sketch from Mojo Monday, and the colors from Paper Sundaes, which were red, yellow, and green.
CDS Stamps: Bold Bouquet, Kid Encouragements
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Riding Hood Red, Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Sweet Pea (CDS), buttercream, Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety
Accessories: red brads (CDS), Tiny Bubbles & D'Vine Swirls embossing folders, window punch, dimensionals, buttons

Another Guest Designer Challenge Card

I couldn't help but not be impressed by my first go 'round with the MFT Guest Designer Challenge for May. With that in mind, I decided to try again. I didn't see anything in the rules about only entering once, so I thought why not. Again, the challenge was to use fabric. I made some little fabric flowers with ribbon on punched out pieces of a glue sheet. I really like the way that they look. I used my new Sheltering Tree Set from MFT.
Stamps: Sheltering Tree
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Mellow Moss
Paper: Sheltering Tree dp, buttercream
Accessories: Moss Gingham ribbon, Tiny Twinkles, glue sheets, Copics

MFT Guest Designer Card with a Sketch

It's that time of the month again. . .the MFT Guest Design challenge. We've been challenged to use fabric on our card, and I have to say that I didn't think I would be able to participate. I do have a little fabric, but it's all in the attic and I wasn't sure I wanted to go up there. Then I remembered I had a bit in the garage, so I headed out there to take a look. Sure enough, I did have one small sqaure of this red with stars fabric. On top of that, I had some twill, so I stamped my sentiment on that. I used the sketch over at Card Positioning Systems, because I liked it so much. I used one of my new MFT sets called Lovin' from the Oven, which I LOVE.
Stamps: Lovin' from the Oven
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: buttercream, October Afternoon On the Farm, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: fabric, twill ribbon, Copics, red buttons, brown thread, Labels 11 Nestabilities

Limelight Challenge

I just now realized that this card needed to be posted by midnight tonight. I had made this for the Limelight challenge, which was a sketch and sparkles. I also made it with the Color Dare in mind, because my bff, Christi, is stepping down from their DT. Unfortunately, they haven't actually posted the challenge, which is supposed to post on Wednesdays. I used an April Clear Dollar Stamps release set called Blooming with Blessings.
Stamps: Blooming with Blessings (CDS)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red, Kiwi Kiss, Bashful Blue
Paper: Billowing Clouds (CDS), Tangelo Smoothie (CDS), Neenah Solar White
Accessories: Labels 9 & 11 Nestabilities, Swiss Dots embossing folder, Cherry Go Round striped ribbon (CDS), sponge, clear embossing powder & diamond glitter, dimesionals

TESC111 & Curtain Call Act #28

For those of you that had had us in your thoughts about my poor dog and her surgery, she is home and fine. She's been doing a lot of resting, and I finally got her to eat something today. That's a little less stress on my plate now. I spent some time in my 'craft cave' because I wasn't feeling well, and that always does the trick. I made this card using the sketch over at Taylor's blog, and the colors from the Curtain Call. The colors we were to use are Rose Red, Not Quite Navy, Kraft, and white.
Stamps: Branching Out (Taylored Expressions)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento Cocoa, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Paper: Kraft, Not Quite Navy, Rose Red, Neenah Solar White
Accessories: buttons (TE), linen thread, circle cutters, window punch, dimensionals, Forest Branches & Birds & Swirls embossing folders, sponge, Copics, scallop edge punch
