Let's Make 8 -- Part 2 of 2 -- SSS Mother's Day Card Kit

Hey there!  I'm back with the second part to my Let's Make 8 Card series, where I show 8 cards using the Simon Says Stamp Limited Edition Mother's Day 2018 Card Kit.  Today's cards are the last 4 from this series.

The kit is no longer available, but all of the supplies most likely are over at Simon Says Stamp.  I have a process video for you if you're interested in how these 4 came together:

Now I'm pretty well set on Mom cards. . .if you can ever have enough.  I know my mom could get a card every day, and it still wouldn't show my appreciation for all that she's done for me.

I hope these gave you some ideas on how to use this kit if you got it, and if you didn't then I hope you were inspired anyway.

Let's Make 8 -- Part 1 of 2 -- Simon Says Stamp Mother's Day 2018 Kit

Hey there!  I feel like it's been a hot minute since I've posted, but it has definitely been a hectic week. I did, however, manage to make 8 cards with the Simon Says Stamp Limited Edition Mother's Day 2018 Kit.  It's no longer available, but the kits contents are still available at Simon Says Stamp.

I have a process video for these 4 cards.  I'm calling it Part 1 of 2.  I'll have Part 2 for you shortly. Check out the process video if you're interested:

Each of these cards using the contents of the kit, with the exception of grabbing some cardstock for bases and using a few tools.

Be sure to check back to see Part 2.  There will be 4 more cards using this Limited Edition kit.

Altenew: Build-a-Flower Gardenia

Hey there!  I'm finally getting my card up for the Color Throwdown challenge #488, which is the colors yellow, green, aqua, and white, and this card is also for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge to add some texture.

I used a new to me set from Altenew called Build-a-Flower Gardenia.  I have to say, I may be getting hooked on these flowers!  They are fairly effortless and look so beautiful when all stamped out.  I have a process video if you'd like to check it out:

I really am happy with how this card turned out, and I loved the color challenge.  The added texture just adds to the design, so I will be putting this design in my memory banks.

Altenew Ninja Invasion

Hey there!  I made a card for a friend today to give a little encouragement.  He just found out he's sick, so a ninja 'you got this' card seems like the thing to send.  I know I'd want a little humor and encouragement all rolled up into one fun card.  I'm using a new to me Altenew set called Ninja Invasion.  If you're interested in watching the process, check out the video down below.

I know this set is going to be making lots of appearances.  It's just too cute to sit on my shelf for too long.  And with the added Simon Says Stamp Mini Spring to make him kick, he's a win.

Stamps:  Altenew Ninja Invasion
Paper:  Neenah Solar White, blue from my stash
Ink:  Altenew Jet Black, Mustard Seed Distress Ink, SU Blush Blossom, SU Real Red
Accessories:  Stamp Platform, SSS Mini Spring

Thanks so much for stopping by!

CTD #487 -- Made Especially for You

Hey there!  I've finally uploaded a card today for the Color Throwdown #487, which is the colors Mint, Red, and Pink.  I love this color combo for sure!  I've had the card done, but I ended up getting pretty sick over my 40th birthday of all days. . .flu maybe, but it's been awful.  I still have something, but stuff still needs to get done, so no rest for me ;)

I made my background with some modeling paste and a stencil, and I filmed the process if you'd like to see how I made this card:

I really enjoyed making this card, and that Stamp Platform makes it a dream to stamp those solid images.

Stamps:  MFT Kitschy Kitchen & You Bake me Happy
Ink:  LF Jet Black, SU Pool Party, SU Real Red, SU Regal Rose
Paper:  Neenah Solar White
Accessories:  brick stencil from Prima, Liquitex Light Modeling Paste, foam tape, MFT Kitschy Kitchen die, MFT Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strip, Tonic Studios Stamp Platform
