A Weekend Color Challenge

This weekend over at Papercraftplanet, Linda is hostessing this weekend's Clear Dollar Stamps Color Challenge, and it is fabulous!  Linda gave us a monochromatic color challenge and you get to pick which color.  I chose to use yellows, which is very out of my comfort zone.  I guess that's why they call it a challenge.  Maybe I picked it because it is raining cats and dogs outside and I need a little cheer.  The background was made using the Melted Crayon Background technique.  This technique is so fun, and it's the only time my iron ever sees the light of day, lol.  On a side note; get a nice smelling candle going after doing this technique because burnt crayons are not a very inviting smell :)
Stamps:  Farm Critters (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Appricot Appeal
Paper:  Yoyo Yellow, Whisper White
Accessories:  yellow flower ribbon, Rhinestone brads, Stampin' Dimensionals, paper piercer, ticket punch, Yoyo Yellow & Summer Sun markers, yellow crayons, iron, foil
Technique:  Melted Crayon

My 7 year old daughter also wanted to participate in this weekend's color challenge and she chose to use the color blue.  I am so proud of her, because she picked all of her own stuff, cut everything on her own, and came up with her own sketch.  This is her card.
Stamps:  Harriette Hippo, Critter Messages (CD Stamps)
Ink:  Basic Black
Paper:  Pacific Point Blue, Bashful Blue DSP, Whisper White, Baja Blue
