TE Key Ingredients -- New Baby

The weekend got away from me, and believe it or not I had actually made this card for a particular challenge (although I can't remember which one now!).  Our weekend got away, because we spent it at the beach with some great friends.  We didn't plan it, and we only went down early Saturday morning and came back last night.  Quick, but super fun!

I made this card for Taylor of Taylored Expressions.  I'm not sure if you heard, but she is having another little girl :D  Using the June TE Key Ingredients Kit was an easy choice, because the little butterflies were perfect. . .those papers are super divine.  I've used the kit so much that my papers are just about gone.  That stamps I used are from the Welcome Little One set. . .which just happens to be on sale!!

If you're not a subscriber there are 3 options that you should check out HERE.  Plus, you can get lots of inspiration from the Gallery, so you'll never run out of ideas for using your kit :)

Stamps:  Welcome Little One
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  June 13 TE KI Kit
Accessories:  distressor, TE Medium Layering Doily Die, Copics, Petal Pink Liquid Pearls

Verve Love

I'm home with some sick kiddos today, so I figured I would get to crafting after I got them settled.  Yesterday was day 10 (I think) of the Splitcoaststampers Member Company Love Fest, and it was Verve's day!  I don't own a lot of Verve stamps, but I do really like their style.  It's so gorgeous, and if money were no object and I had a bit more room in my 'craft cave' I would own so many more of their stamps. . .sigh.

Verve's challenge was a color challenge:  Aqua, Brown, & Yellow, or Aqua, Brown, & Pink.  I chose yellow, because I really wanted to make a card with this sentiment.  I used the darling set called To the Moon.  I bought it for when my niece was born about a year and half ago.

Stamps:  To the Moon
Ink:  SU Craft White
Paper:  kraft, SU Bermuda Bay
Accessories:  white embossing powder, yellow Copics Labels 12 Nestabilities, hanger, envelope, & flower from a card kit, foam tape, Swiss Dots embossing folder, yellow grosgrain ribbon

I'm hoping to get the chance to participate in the next one.  If you have some time come check out the Splitcoaststampers Member Company Love Fest :D

Dare to Get Dirty Day 6

All right, I'm all caught up!  This is my 6th post for the Dare to Get Dirty Challenge going on over at Splitcoaststampers.  Tomorrow is the last day of challenges, and I'm pretty sure I can tackle those, unless they throw in something crazy like; adopt an elephant and then stamp a card with his feel. . .then I won't get them all finished :)

My first card is for Beate's challenge and it uses Late from Mo's Digital Pencil.

My second card is for Edna's challenge.  It uses Farm Fresh from Papertrey Ink.

My third card is for Julie's challenge.  It uses my August Simon Says Card Kit.

My fourth card is for Debbie's challenge.  It uses Harvest Berries from Papertrey Ink.

My final card of the day is for Jami's challenge.  It uses Farm Fresh from Papertrey Ink (sick of that set yet. . .me either).

Okay, not to rest my inky hands for tomorrow's challenges ;)  If you want to participate, just head over to Splitcoaststampers to find out about being a Fan Club member :)

Gel-a-tins Congrats for Baby

Good morning everyone!  It's going to be a bit quiet on here for a bit, because I'm undergoing shoulder surgery to repair some damage from a fall last year.  No worries and no big deal, but I didn't want anyone to think that I had fallen off of the face of the earth.

I will leave you with a couple of cards that I made using the ever awesome Gel-a-tins set called Rock-a-Bye-Baby.  This first one uses papers from MME Playground.  I used the ribbon stamp in the set to create a little sidewalk :)
Stamps:  Rock-a-Bye-Baby
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento London Fog, SU Summer Sun
Paper:  CDS Grape Jelly, CDS Cottonball White, MME Playgournd
Accessories:  TE Tiny Twinkles, dimensionals, corner chomper, heart sticker, MFT Fresh Cut Grass Die-namics

This last one uses the Nestabilities Scalloped Pennet with some airbrushing and the little popped up stork and baby.  It fits perfectly into a standard invitation envelope!
Stamps:  Rock-a-Bye-Baby
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  CDS Cottonball White
Accessories:  Copics, green button, yellow Baker's Twine, dimensionals

I am hoping that my recovery time will be fast and that I'll be back at it in no time.  If not, I do have a few things up my sleeves to dazzle you with just in case :)

Rock-a-Bye-Baby

Happy Friday, my friends!  I am showing this set from Gel-a-Tins called Rock-a-Bye-Baby!  We all know how I'm really into babies right now because my sister is expecting, so this set just adds fuel to that fire, hehe.  I made this card for a couple of different challenges.  It uses the sketch from Mojo Monday.  I also colored the button & the crocheted flower with my Copics and my airbrush system for the iCopic challenge of coloring your own embellishment.  I colored a cream button blue, and the white flower was sprayed with a light brown to give it an antiqued look.
Stamps:  Rock-a-Bye-Baby
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Tea Dye & Vintage Photo Distress inks
Paper:  unknown blue & green, CDS Raging River, buttercream, OA Modern Homemaker

If you've been reading my blog on a regular basis, you know that my sister is having a baby.  WELL, she's having a girl!  That is why this Baby Shower invite is geared more towards a girl.  It was pretty easy to make, so it would be really easy to duplicate.  I love that this set called Rock-a-Bye Baby from Gel-a-tins even has a stamp that looks like a ribbon.  I stamped the sentiment 'Baby Shower' all over the back behind the bassinet in pink.

Baby Announcements

Whew!  I finally finished the baby announcements for my nephew.  I had such a blast making these, and I sure hope my sister-in-law loves them as much as I do.  I only had to make 25, but these really reignited my love for watercoloring.  The Tombows make it such a breeze to watercolor too, and Clear Dollar Stamps has matched up the different Tombows to their paper to make it that much easier.

I used this adorable set called Dinomite from Clear Dollar Stamps :D

Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black

Baby Madness

It seems as though everyone around me is getting pregnant! It's very exciting!  I'm done having kids, so it's great to be surrounded by babies again.  I made this for a friend whom I recently got a note from telling us they are pregnant.  Our husbands were deployed together last year and worked very closely, so naturally she and I have a special connection.  As per military, they moved away.  It touched my heart to receive her note, and it makes me miss them so much.

My Favorite Things has this awesome set called Clearly Sentimental About Babies.  It's perfect for making cards for expectant mothers.  I paired it up with some BG Hopscotch paper that my BFF, Christi, sent me.  I made this card for the MFT Sketch Challenge, and the For Fun Challenge of using 'hearts'.
Stamps:  Clearly Sentimental About Babies
Ink:  Memento Rich Cocoa, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Paper:  Cottonball White (CDS), BG Hopscotch
Accessories:  Copics & airbrushing, brown buttons, chipboard hearts, Labels 4 Nestabilities, sponge, brown mini brads (CDS), Brown Sparkly Fluff (TE)

I'm hoping to have some good quality 'craft cave' time, but we'll see what the day brings :D

A New Baby Boy

There is a new baby boy in the family. . .no, it's not mine, lol.  I had 'ya going there, hehe.  My sister-in-law just had a boy, and we are so happy for them.  I made this card to honor that using the Baby Bundle set from Clear Dollar Stamps.  This card also uses the coordinating SVG file that you can get to go along with the set.  If I were going to be making a bunch of baby announcements with this set, the SVG would be the way to go.  I used the 'hearts' challenge from Crafty Cardmakers to get me inspired.
Stamps:  Baby Bundle
Ink:  Tropical Mist (CDS), Cherry Go Round (CDS), Hot Cocoa (CDS)
Paper:  vanilla (CDS), My Mind's Eye dp
Accessories:  Baby Bundle SVG, Oval Nestabilities, sponge, vanilla ribbon, Corner Chomper

A Couple of Challenges

Good Wednesday morning to you all!  I'm feeling much better today. . .it might have something to do with the fact that the gift my man got me for Christmas (an air compressor!) arrived at my door yesterday, hehe.  That man is so good to me!  Well, that's part of it, but I really am starting feel human again.

Here's a new creation (no airbrushing to show you yet).  I made this using the Mojo Monday sketch and the Simon Says 'new beginnings' challenge.  My mom needed a gift card holder for a shower she's attending this weekend, so I altered one for her using a new set from Clear Dollar Stamps called Baby Bundle.  It also uses the new Tabs & Tags Dies too!

I had picked up some GC holders on uber clearance at our local hobby store, because I see clearance and automatically think, 'I can alter that,' lol.
Stamps:  Baby Bundle
Ink:  Apricot Appeal (SU), Pretty in Pink (SU), Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  Cottonball White (CDS), BG Sugar Rush
Accessories:  Tabs & Tags Die (CDS), pink rhinestones, pink ribbon, circle cutter, dimensionals, GC holder

If You know a Mom-to-Be. . .

I had made this a while ago, and even planned to post it while I was gone. That, obviously did not happen, so I'll share it with you today. A while ago, Gina has asked if I had a card for a Mom-to-Be. Surprisingly in my stash of thousands (ok, not quite that many) of stamps, I had NOTHING to fit the mold! Well, I had been eyeballing this set called Baby Bump from MFT for a while and decided to take the plunge. Actually it's a set that will come in super handy as recently many of my friends have become pregnant! Here's the inside. I had originally made this for a couple of challenges, but never found the time to post it. . .ok, I didn't make the time to post it. Regardless, I really like how it turned out.
I, like my friend Christi, love to paper piece these adorable MFT WTG sets. . .they are just perfect for that technique!
Stamps: Baby Bump & Baby Bump Additions (MFT)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Vanilla (CDS), Togetherness Cosmo Cricket dp
Accessories: Copics, Tags Trio Nestabilities, yellow brads

I'm going to go ahead and list this in my Etsy shop, so if you are interested in purchasing it head on over there and check it out!

Sketch #99 for Eat, Sleep, & Stamp

I had a friend email me this morning, because she needed some baby boy cards. Wouldn't you know that all I had were for little girls. I'm in the process of cleaning out my 'craft cave', so I had to push the mess aside to find even a 4 x 4 inch spot to stamp. . .jeesh!

I made this for Tracy's sketch over at Eat, Sleep, & Stamp using my Patchpal Duck from Clear Dollar Stamps. That Patchpal line is so perfect for babies.
CDS Images: Patchpal Duck, Patchpal Sayings
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Black Soot distress ink
Paper: KI Kit from TE, Cottonball White (CDS)
Accessories: Copics, sponge, circle cutter, red brads

Good morning everyone! I told you I'd have some more springy colors to show you, hehe. These are the colors we were asked to use for the Color Dare: Pretty in Pink, Green Galore, and Basic Black. So, I coupled it with the Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge. I never seem to have enough baby cards, so right now I'm trying to replenish my stock. My Patchpal Skunk from Clear Dollar Stamps was just perfect for these colors! I topped her off with a crocheted flower made by my friend Leah. She did a stunning job. . .I haven't mastered those yet.
CDS stamps: Patchpal Skunk
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Pretty in Pink, Green Galore
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Neenah Solar White, Green Galore, black dp

Hey Diddle Diddle

Hey everyone! I hope you're having a wonderful Tuesday. At our house the kids are wrapping up some science by explaining the different parts of a seed. Yesterday we started our 30 day radish growing project, and I think that this will turn out to be their favorite project of school this year. They've already witnessed in one day's time the seeds starting to sprout on the wet paper towel they were placed on.

My card today is a baby card. I'm finding that I need more of these than I have, so I need to get to making a few more. I love this new set that Kim designed called Hey Diddle Diddle from Clear Dollar Stamps. It makes the perfect baby cards.
CDS Stamps: Hey Diddle Diddle
Ink: Versamark, Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Sahara Sand, Storytime dp (SU), Neenah Solar White
Accessories: Copics, dimensionals, circle cutter, Teal Twill Ribbon (CDS), button, linen thread

I'm so glad you stopped by today. It always brightens my day to get visitors. I'm going to be posting things all week, so you don't want to miss out. Be sure to come back each day to see what I have in store. There will be CDS sneak peeks starting soon and a new CIC challenge for you to take part in. You won't want to miss it ;D
