Brutus Monroe Blog Hop -- Anything Goes

Happy Wednesday everyone!  It's Blog Hop Wednesday for the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team, and our challenge this week was Anything Goes.  I pulled out my Grateful Stamp along with the gorgeous Fresh Squeeze 6x6 paper and did a little ombre stamping.

Once I was done doing the ombre stamping, I stamped over the top of it with Embossing Ink and then covered that with Icicle Embossing Powder for extra interest.  I'm so happy with how this one turned out :)

If you'd like to see how I made this, I have a video for you:

Brutus Monroe Blog Hop -- T.V. Movies

Hey there!  Welcome back for the weekly Inspiration Team Blog Hop for Brutus Monroe!  This week we were challenged to come up with a card that was inspired by a T.V. show or movie.  My card is based off of my guilty pleasure show. . .Married at First Sight, lol.

I used the beautiful set called Special Day.  I stamped it onto my background, and also onto some shimmer white cardstock that I had in my stash from years ago.  I fussy cut the dress out and popped it up using foam tape.  I added a small strip of Charcoal Glitterstock to the side, and stamped my sentiment onto some Heat Resistant Vellum using Embossing Ink and then covered that with Mic Drop Embossing Powder.  I tried my hand at the Glue Sponge, once again, and I think I really like it. It adhered the vellum nicely to the front.

I do have a video if you'd like to see exactly how I made this card.

Be sure to hop around to see the rest of the team's interpretation of this challenge.  I know there are some super clever cards ;)

Brutus Monroe Blog Hop -- Subscription Items

Hey y'all!  And welcome back to my blog.  I'm here for another Wednesday Blog Hop with the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team.  This week we were challenged to use Subscription items.  I chose to use the Die of the Month, which is frankly just gorgeous.  I cut it out of the Lunch Box Cardstock, while my background was made using the new Night Shift Embossing Powders that were just released.  I love how they shift from that black as you look at it head on, to the various colors as you turn it in and out of the light.

I have a video for how I made this card and how I used those powders with the Die if you'd like to check that out.

Be sure to hop around and check out with the rest of the team came up with for this challenge.  You are sure to be very inspired!  Thanks for stopping by!

Brutus Monroe Blog Hop -- Fabulous Foliage

Hello there, and welcome back to my blog for the weekly Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Blog Hop!  This week we were challenged to make a card with Fabulous Foliage.  Brutus Monroe has a lot of wonderful stamp set options for a challenge like this, so I chose the Feathered Friends stamp.

I started out stamping my images using Raven Detail Ink onto some Aqua Pigment Paper.  Using the Waffle Flower Water Media Mat, I painted my branches with several different Aqua Pigments.  I cut out some circles and fussy cut out my branches.  They were popped up for dimension using foam tape, and everything was placed onto a Lunch Bag card base.

If you'd like to see the process video on how I made this card, you can head to my YouTube Channel.

Be sure to hop around and check out what the rest of the team has made for this fun challenge!  And thanks for stopping by :)

Brutus Monroe Blog Hop -- ATCs

Hello there, and welcome back to another Wednesday blog hop with the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team!  Our challenge this week was ATCs, and if you've never given them a go (which I never had, gasp!), then you need to get crafty.  ATC stand for Artist Trading Cards, and they measure approximately 3"x4".

I started out by stamping my image, which is the Mix Tape stamp that measures 4x6.  It was the perfect size for a panel that I could cut down to make 2 ATCs.  I used some watercolor paper and stamped the image using Raven Detail Ink.  I taped it down to my Waffle Flower Water Media Mat using some washi tape, and then wet my paper with my water brush.  I used three different Aqua Pigments in the colors Yellow, Turquoise, and Red. I let those color mix to make my rainbow.

Once it was dry I splattered some Gilded Aqua Pigment paint all over the panel, let that dry and then trimmed it down.  I also trimmed down some Lunch Bag cardstock for my bases.

Using the new Bold Alpha Uppercase - Outline stamp, I stamped the word DUDE onto several panel of the Lunch Bag cardstock, and then painted each letter in using the Gilded Aqua Pigment paint.

I assembled everything at this point, and ended up getting 6 ATCs that I can either pass out as is, or add to card fronts later on.  I love the size of these and the bright bold colors.

Can you believe I had never made ATCs before?!

Now it's time for you to hop around and see what the rest of the team has created for this challenge.  Once you're done with that, you should get a little inky and try your hand at them :). Thanks for stopping by!
