More HYCCT Challenges

Click HERE for the CDS Blog Hop

There is still plenty of time for you to participate in the Hope You Can Cling To challenges going on over at Splitcoaststampers.  I've been pacing myself out nicely, and I have a few more cards to show you :)

This first one for for Lee's challenge to 'Show off your Cupcakes' to make a notecard and matching cupcake holder with cupcake images.  I just received my There She Goes Stamps order in the mail this weekend, so the Ninja Skillz set was perfect for this one.

My next card was for Cindy's a 'Birthday in Pink' challenge.  I used the There She Goes Warmest Wishes stamp and die set for this one.

This card was for Lisa's 'Hope is in the Air' challenge.  I used my Our Craft Lounge sets called Love is in the Air & Spilling Over.

My final card for the day was for Bev's 'Clearly Hopeful' challenge to use a clear element on your card.  I used my Simon Says October Card Kit for this one.

I know that there haven't been a ton of details on my cards lately, but I just want to make sure that I'm getting these done and ready to send for the HYCCT challenges.  I'll have more over the next few days, so be sure to come back :)

More Hope You Can Cling To

I'm back today with a few more Hope You Can Cling To challenge cards for the HYCCT challenges going on over at Splitcoaststampers.  I'm starting to get all caught up, and it feels good!  If you have some spare crafting time, you should really check them out and get involved :)

My first card for the day was made for Kathy's challenge of making something to inspire courage.  I used the Paper Smooches Stamps set called Hope.  It seemed extremely fitting.

My next card was made for Dina's show tunes challenge.  I was listening to 'You've Got a Friend in Me' from Disney's Toy Story on Pandora, and I couldn't help but be inspired by the theme of friendship.  I used my Friendship Blooms set from Taylored Expressions. . .one of my faves :)

This next one was made for Bev's 'Shine it Out' challenge to use a lot of sparkle.  I made my own glitter embossing powder by mixing some pink glitter with some clear embossing powder with a ratio of roughly one to one.  That way I'm not getting as much glitter all over the place ;)  I used a couple of dies and a set from Taylored Expressions:  Royal Digs, Majestic Border Die, & Royal Treatment Die.  Taking a picture of something with glitter on it is so difficult. . .ya feel me?!

This next one was made for Lynn's 'Pinking Shears' challenge to make a card with a decorative edge.  I pulled out a new Lawn Fawn set called So Thankful.

My final card of the day was made for Ardyth's 'Vital Signs' challenge to make something inspired by your vital signs.  I used a set from Our Craft Lounge called Every Heartbeat.

Whew!  That's a lot of cards that I hope will brighten someone's day!  I'm hoping to have a bit more time today to make a few more.  Thanks for stopping in. . .I'll be back tomorrow for the CDS Sunday Blog Hop :D

HYCCT -- The latest cards. . .

My in-laws are in town, so I don't anticipate a bunch of crafty time on my hands.  However, I do have a few cards to show you today for the Hope You Can Cling To challenges going on over at Splitcoaststampers.  All of the cards made are being shipped to the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

My first card is for Lori's challenge.  It was an acronym challenge, and it was fun to have to put on my thinking cap a bit.  We had to use HYCCT (H-hippo, Y-yellow background, C-circles, C-crimp, T-twine).  I used a couple of Paper Smooches sets: Potpourri & Zoo Crew.

This second card was made for Patricia's challenge of 'You had me in Stitches'.  We had to make a humorous card with stitching on it.  I used my Granny's Truffles from Our Craft Lounge.

My final card of the day was for Jeanne's challenge called 'Ship Shape'.  We had to make a shaped card.  I happened to have these adorable cupcakes on hand, so I added a sentiment from a set called Build a Treat from Taylored Expressions.

Thanks for stopping in, and I hope you consider playing along in the HYCCT challenges. . .it's such a good cause.  I better go make some breakfast for the weary travelers ;)

Tuesday Trigger -- Type Hype

I made a little time today after seeing Cath's Tuesday Trigger, because I just couldn't resist.  That type writer is divine!  I actually have a couple of old school type writer images, so I just had to use them both.

My first one was made with a set from Taylored Expressions that was only available to Key Ingredients subscribers.

My second card was made with an Our Craft Lounge set called Years Gone By.

I better get going.  It's my 13th anniversary today, and I better get ready for my date tonight ;)

Here are the links to the products I used:

Dare to Get Dirty Day 5

Well, yesterday threw me for a loop, because 6 challenges were posted for the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges over at Splitcoaststampers.  Wouldn't you know it, yesterday was my busy day as well.  I finally got yesterday's challenges done this afternoon, whew!

My first card was made for Julie's challenge.  It uses Cutie Pi from There She Goes Stamps.

My second card was for Diane's challenge.  It uses my June Simon Says Card Kit. . .love those!

This is another from that card kit, and it is for Mona's challenge.

My fourth card is for Susan's challenge, and I really like how it turned out.  It uses Growing with Granny from Our Craft Lounge.

My fifth card is for Lisa's challenge.  It uses Sunny Side Up from Paper Smooches.

My final card for yesterday is for Jen's challenge and the MFT sketch challenge.  It uses You Rule from My Favorite Things.

Thanks for stopping in to see yesterday's cards.  I'll have more for today's.  Check out Splitcoaststampers to find out how you can take part in the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges!

My Heart Skips a Beat

Happy Saturday, crafty friends!  I don't have much planned today other than laundry. . .woohoo (insert sarcastic chuckle).  I do, however, have a card to show you that I made yesterday.  I received my Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit yesterday afternoon, so I had to get crafting.  If you are a subscriber, you should check it out.  I love my monthly kit!

I combined my kit with a new release from Our Craft Lounge called Every Heart Beat.  It certainly has some great chevrons in the set and can be used for more than cards of 'love'.  I used the sketch from Jen's Deconstructed Sketch, the Zig Zag challenge from Our Craft Lounge, and the Free For All 'Have a Heart or 2 challenge' from Splitcoaststampers.
Stamps:  Every Heart Beat
Ink:  SU Not Quite Navy, SU Baja Breeze, SU Pink Pirouette
Paper:  January TE KI Kit
Accessories:  sponge, foam tape

Thanks for stopping in. . .laundry is calling :P

Splitcoast Sketch #368

I haven't played in one of the daily sketches over at Splitcoaststampers in forever.  Time just doesn't always allow me to participate in a challenge on any given day, but I found some time today.  I thought I would get a jump on the special Valentine's that I make for each of my children.  They look forward to it, and I love to do it :)

I used this adorable set from Our Craft Lounge called Pat the Dog.  The sketch is the Wednesday Sketch challenge over at Splitcoast.

I believe the first one will go to my son, despite the flowers, and the second one will go to my daughter.

Stamps:  Pat the Dog
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  BG dp, CDS Cottonball White
Accessories:  Copics, foam tape, green ribbon, Pennant Nestie

Cloud 9

My husband is home for a 4 day weekend, and while normally we would be doing something as a family he is sleeping.  He had to work through the night last night and got home at 9 this morning.  Poor guy is passed out on the couch and life is still going on around him.

That being said, I had some time to make a little something.  I saw the sketch that Jen had over on her blog, and knew I wanted to play along.  I thought I would combine it with this morning's Our Craft Lounge challenge of using numbers.  I'm using a new release called Love in the Air.  I'm loving their new releases!

I originally stamped it in white, but didn't really like it.  Then I thought I would just stamp over it in black and see what comes of it.  I kind of like the effect :)

Stamps:  Love in the Air
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Vintage Photo distress ink
Paper:  BG Sweet Threads, magenta, TE buttercream
Copics:  E42, E44, E47, YG01, YG03, YG05, BV17, BV20
Accessories:  Scalloped Edge Punch, circle punch, Violet Viva Pearl Pens, foam tape, sponge

Thanks for stopping in today :D

I've been working on a few request projects for a client, but found some time in the wee hours of the night last night to participate in the latest Our Craft Lounge challenge.  The challenge is A Handmade Holiday.  I needed some tags for my little nephews gifts, so I made a few quick ones.  Here is one of them using a retiring set called Hoppy Holidays.

Here's a close up of my coloring.  I meant to add some Red Sparkly Fluff, and still may, but I was pretty tired after I got this all colored up :)

I've been working like mad on all of my Christmas cards, so I thought I would take a break from them.  I needed a card for my nephew's birthday, so I used the Our Craft Lounge Challenge of Cute Critters.  The set I used is the darling Drake the Dragon!  I had to have him, since that was my high school mascot.  Silly, I know, but ahhhh memories!

I used Tweet Winter Wishes for my final card as a 'Thank You' to the sweet ladies over at OCL for having me as the Artist of the Month for November.

I used lots of yummy Sugar Sparkly Fluff all around for snow on this CAS card.

OCL Featured Artist Week 2

We are into the second week of me being the Artist of the Month for Our Craft Lounge.  I'm still as giddy about it as day one, hehe.

For my project this week, I made some gift tags using the Jolly Ornaments set.  As soon as I laid eyes on this set, I knew what I wanted to do with it.  Gift tags were the perfect option, although my mind has been reeling with all of the different things I can do with it.  I used some new Authentique-Wonder paper with a couple of my Nestabilities.

These six tags were such a breeze to make, and of course they were fun too!  Now I really feel like I'm getting things squared away for Christmas having a few more tags ready to go :)

Stamps:  Jolly Ornaments
Ink:  SU Crumb Cake, CDS Hot Cocoa
Paper:  buttercream, Authentique-Wonder
Copics:  R46 & YG95 with the airbrush
Accessories:  Tags & Labels 4 Nestabilities, dimensionals, red organdy ribbon, sponge, slit punch

It's an honor to be featured over at the OCL blog, and I have a couple more projects to show you over the month.

I'm so excited!

A couple of months ago, I got an email from Kendra over at Our Craft Lounge.  She was asking if I'd be willing to be the November Artist of the Month for OCL.  My reaction was. . .(squeal) YES!  I'm so excited to have such a great honor :D  Over the next few weeks, I get to show you a few things that I've worked on, and you can see them over at the Our Craft Lounge Blog.

My first card of the month uses a great set called Tweet Winter.  I love snowmen, and this little guy comes with some little birdie friends.  I stuck with my usual CAS style.

Copics:  E81, E87, BG10, YR14, R59, BG96, & airbrush

OCL is still wearing Pink!

Over at Our Craft Lounge they are still showing off the pink for Breast Cancer Awareness!  Today is their blog challenge and the color is none other than. . .PINK!  I chose to use my new Granny's Truffles set.  And while this card is sporting some other colors, the main card base is pink and so is Granny's dress ;)

I also had one of the Hope You Can Cling To challenges from Splitcoaststampers in mind when I made this card.  It was made for the You're My Inspiration challenge, and I chose the colors Light Blue, Pink, Red, Blush, and white dots.
Stamps:  Granny's Truffles

More OCL goes pink!

Our Craft Lounge is still going pink for the week!  There was a fun hop on Monday, some more pretty stuff to see Tuesday, and yesterday Kendra shared her story.  You should really go check out the OCL Blog for lots of inspiration and to read Kendra's story.

I combined my card today with a challenge from Splitcoaststampers for their Hope You Can Cling To challenges.  I've been having so much fun making these, and I can't wait to get them all boxed up and sent out.  What a great feeling it will be to share something I love!

I was inspired by the P.I.N.K. challenge, which was to use the letters to make your card.  Here goes:
P -- Pat the Dog stamp
I -- ink (I know that seems a bit like cheating, hehe)
N -- new stamp set
K -- know to tie on the bone charm
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper:  pink, Crate Paper - Farmhouse, CDS Cottonball White
Accessories:  Copics (forgot to write them all down), MS Loop Punch, green twine, bone charm

Thanks for stopping in!

Our Craft Lounge is Going Pink All Week

If you're looking for the TE Holiday Hoopla Hop go HERE.

I know my card isn't pink, but it was made for the Hope You Can Cling To challenges going on over at Splitcoaststampers.  It was made specifically for the Encircled With Love challenge, which was to make a circle card.  I didn't realize just how much fun and how easy one of these would be.  You can bet I'll be making more.

Kendra, from OCL is sharing her story with all of us this morning over at the OCL Blog.  Head on over and be encouraged!

I used this great OCL set called Sunshine Cheer.  I'm officially in love with it, hehe, and it really can be used for so many things.

Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Crumb Cake
Paper:  EP Candy Shoppe Dots & Stripes, CDS Cottonball White

Our Craft Lounge Blog Hop

I'm super duper excited this morning, because I'm hopping along with the talented ladies from Our Craft Lounge!  As you all know, it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and in honor of that OCL is having a blog hop!  I used the always fun set called Granny's Support Team for my card.  The Granny sets all crack me up, and this set is a humorous way to remind us all that we need to be aware and 'Don't forget to squish 'em!'

I thought it would also be fun to pair my card with one of the challenges going on over at Splitcoaststampers for the Hope You Can Cling To (HYCCT) challenges.  OCL's own Deb Felts is hosting the Give 'em a Squeeze challenge, which was to use some form of dry embossing.  Thanks for a great challenge, Deb!

Stamps:  Granny's Support Team
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Soft Suede
Paper:  Authentique-Uncommon, SU Soft Suede, buttercream
Accessories:  E42 copic, Circle & Tags Nestabilities, Scallop edged punch, Victoria Embossing Folder

OCL is offering up a prize to a lucky commentor, so be sure to comment along the way!  Wouldn't you love to get your hands on Granny's Support Team stamp set and 2 jars of Sparkly Fluff ~ in shades of PINK?!  A winner will be announced tomorrow morning.  You can get all of the details at the OCL blog.

Here are a list of the hop participants:

Have fun hopping and thanks for stopping by!

I've made it a goal to try my best to do as many of the Hope You Can Cling To challenges from over at Splitcoaststampers.  You can find out all of the details over there.  C'mon, join the fun for a great cause!

I have 3 cards to show today, with hopes for more of the next couple of weeks.  This first one was made with this super cute set called Shout it Out from Our Craft Lounge.  They are quickly becoming a favorite company of mine, with all of their fun stamps.  Next week they will doing some special things for Breast Cancer Awareness, so stay tuned!  This card was made for the Pink Critters Challenge.
