MFT Guest Designer Card with a Sketch

I'm trying my hand out it again this month. . .the MFT Guest Designer spot. This month the challenge was to make a masculine card and use some metallic features. Well, I don't have a lot in the way of masculine MFT stamps, so I went ahead and inked Flopsey up. . .Bubble Bunny. Men can take bubble baths, right? I'm sure the Easter Bunny is doing this exact thing as we speak! I used a paper kit I had gotten from Taylored Expressions, which had metal sheets in it. . .how perfect! I used the sketch over at Friday Sketchers too!
Stamps: Bubble Bunny (MFT)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Neenah Solar White, Basic Gray, KI from TE
Accessories: Copics, dimensionals, Crystal Effects, Tiny Bubbles embossing folder, metallic brads, oval cutter, black mesh ribbon, sponge

Tomorrow is my birthday, and get the Guest Design spot for MFT would totally make the month ;D

An Altered Item

My husband asked me to make a coffee fund jar for his class his in right now for the military. I actually thought it was incredibly cute and thoughtful of him to think of me to make it. Because it was for a military class, I figured I should try to make it as manly as possible, which was very hard to do. I don't think any of them will even notice, but eh. I decided to enter it in Lexi's challenge #11 which was an altered object. I used an old pickle jar cleaned out several times to make sure it was clean. The stamps used come from Clear Dollar Stamps and are called The Grind.
CDS Stamps: The Grind
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Chocolate Chip
PaBoldper: Neenah Solar White, Old Olive, Sweet Pea dsp
Accessories: Labels 5 & Circle Nestabilities, So Saffron & Old Olive ribbon, silver pen, sponge, C-1 Copic, brown Sparkly Fluff, white liquid applique
Thanks for stopping by today!

A Springy Birthday

It definitely feels like Spring here in GA, and we are headed over to our Pastor's wife's house to celebrate our birthdays. She has her grandbaby with her and so we are doing a picnic lunch. I thought I would make her a Springy birthday card to celebrate with one of my new MFT stamps called Who's That Birthday Girl?

I used the sketch from Our Creative Corner, and it qualifies for a couple of 'Spring' themed challenges with the colors I used. Fab n' Funky & The Little Red Wagon both had Spring themes at their challenge blogs.
Stamps: Who's That Birthday Girl?
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Neenah Solar White, Basic Gray, spring paper pack (MFT)
Accessories: Copics, scallop edge punch, spring ribbon (MFT), window punch, buckle

A MFT Challenge

I shared the exciting news of getting a new camera yesterday, so now I'm trying to get used to taking pics of my cards with my new little baby. I really am so excited about this camera! Anyway, yesterday Kim over at MFT, challenged us to make a patchwork card and to use her layout. I got a couple new MFT stamps the other day, so I thought I would ink them up. This new stamp, that reminds me of my daughter, is called Tweeny Tween Rock On from the Pure Innocence line of stamps. I'm also going to enter it into the For Fun challenge, which was an 'Anything Goes' challenge.
Stamps: Tweeny Tween Rock On

A New Camera!!

THIS is what my husband bought me for my birthday! No, my birthday is not today, but next week. He just couldn't keep the secret any longer! I have been so excited, and just couldn't wait to share the news! Here is one of the pictures I took of my son at his practice tonight. He couldn't stand still, so I got him running off. I can honestly say that I am THOROUGHLY impressed with this camera! Look at that handsome boy!

That's right, starting April 1st and then the 15th of every month after that new digis will start popping up in the store. This Little Frog digi was designed by Laurie Wilson. That gal is just so darn talented! I printed it on 90lb watercolor paper twice and popped one of the images up on dimensionals. Yes, that crocheted flower is my handy work. I like to take swatches of paper into the craft store and match my papers to the floss, hehe.

Clearly Inspired Challenge #10

It's Friday, and it's time for the Clearly Inspired Challenge going on over at ClearlyiStamp! This week's challenge is a sketch challenge. I just love sketch challenges! I used some new papers I received last week along with my Tangy Trio set from Clear Dollar Stamps. I had this awesome chipboard piece sitting in my stash just begging to be used, so I covered it in paper and distressed it a bit. I tried the Rock n' Roll technique on my card, but it's not very easily seen in the picture. I don't think the colors I chose were different enough. The pears in my circles were covered with a dimensional glaze to give them some shine. Fun sketch, huh?
CDS Stamps: Tangy Trio
Ink: Certainly Celery, Mellow Moss, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Crate Paper Brook dp, unknown cardstock, Neenah Solar White
Accessories: Curly Label punch, half back pearls, sponge, dimensional glaze, chocolate ribbon
