I don't have anything stamped to show you today. I've been feverishly working on 'thank you's' for my sister and her fiance. I made all of their wedding invitations, and no, I didn't take a picture (GASP!) They were fun, black, dark red, and cream with bling all over them! They really screamed 'my sister', so I was so happy to make them. I'll have to take a picture of the 'thank you's' when they are completed.
My reason for posting today is a question. I made the invitations and thank you's as a gift to them, and I am making them a cutesy recipe book for a shower gift, but what do I get them as a gift? I would almost like to get them each something individual. What would you, or have you gotten your sister as a wedding gift? What would you or have you gotten your brother-in-law as a wedding gift? I'll take all kinds of suggestions really: serious, funny, anything!
wow you are so nice! I have no clue because i think your cards are a HUGE gift!ReplyDelete
Ooo, I can imagine the invitations were gorgeous! [they'd have to be if you made them!!] How lucky to have a talented sister like you to make them :]ReplyDelete
Hmmm. . . my sisters haven't married yet, and I don't know what I would get them. . . I'll have to mull it over, and if I think of something fun I'll let you know!
Hi Cass. I think the personal gifts you have given are perfect. It is hard to give suggestions because this gift has to be a personal one. A scrapbook of their wedding is a really nice gift, personal and I know you would do a perfect job on that.ReplyDelete
I would have loved to see the invites, I am doing my daughters wedding...:-) I know they were beautiful, your work is amazing! As for personal gifts, let me think over that. I like the scrapbook idea above...too.
I am having my daughter a Canvas picture done of her bridal photo for her personal gift...as for my soon to be son-in-law, I have no idea yet. I will get back to you on that one.
I'm with Lisa Lara...a scrapbook would be very nice.ReplyDelete
