Spellbinders BetterPress Christmas Plates and Underpainting

 

Hello and welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm sharing a few cards I made using some of the new Spellbinders BetterPress Christmas Plates.  I decided to make my backgrounds using a technique that I call underpainting.

The first card uses an ombré look going from a dark pink up to a lighter pink at the top, and it uses the Chic Merry Christmas BetterPress Plate.

This next one uses the Holiday Foliage Joy BetterPress Plate and I focused the underpainting to around the edges.

This final example uses the Christas Greetings BetterPress Plate.  These are so fun to paint, and those underpaintings really make the painting process easier.  If you'd like to see exactly how I did it, you can watch the process here or over on my YouTube Channel.

Spellbinders August 2023 Quick and Easy Card Kit

 

The new Spellbinders Quick and Easy Card Kit for August 2023 has so many great elements!  I fell in love with all of the puffy stickers, because they give us so many great options for sentiments.

My first card uses one piece of the ephemera along with a puffy sticker sentiment.

My second card pops up a couple pieces of the ephemera using the foam tape.  This one just makes me smile so much.

My third card pops up those flowers once again with the foam tape, but the sentiment is from the chipboard stickers.

My fourth card uses one of the puffy stickers that looks like a speech bubble.  I thought those stickers were so much fun!

My final card uses that unicorn cat that I just couldn't keep my eyes off of, lol.  He's so stinkin' cute!  I paired him up with puffy stickers from both the speech bubbles and the words.

Spellbinders July 2023 Quick & Easy Card Kit

 

Hello there, and welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm sharing a few cards that I made using the Spellbinders July 2023 Quick & Easy Card Kit.  I find these kits to be perfect for not only beginners just starting out, but also the seasoned paper crafter who wants some quick cards to put together.

My first card uses the ephemera and patterned papers to make a beach scene.  I love the monochromatic color of each beach house.  The sentiment is one of the chipboard stickers.

My second card may be my favorite with those bright papers and ephemera.  I popped them up with the foam squares and added some puffy sticker sentiments.

The third card makes me long for the beach.  This would be a fun card to send to a friend getting ready to head out on a summer vacation.

My final card uses almost all of the things from the kit. . .ephemera, chipboard stickers, and a puffy sticker!  This one just makes me smile!

Spellbinders House Mouse Stamps

 

Hi friends, and welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm sharing some cards I made using the new House Mouse stamps that Spellbinders is carrying.  I've always loved the House Mouse stamps with their cute images and fun details.  Those details make them super easy to color and get great results.

My first one uses the Popping By stamp.

This next one is the Tea for Two stamp.

And this final one is called Berry Good.  All of the images were colored with my Prismacolor Pencils, and I had the best time doing it.  Like it said, those detailed images make it super simple to get great colored results!

Spellbinders June 2023 Quick & Easy Card Kit

 

Hello there, crafty friends!  I'm excited to share a few cards I made using the June 2023 Spellbinders Quick & Easy Card Kit.  This kit (as always) is jam packed with pretty much everything you would need to make a bunch of cards.  The only thing missing is a paper trimmer or some scissors.

My first card uses a good combination of the ephemera and a chipboard frame as well as one of the chipboard stickers.

The second card, once again, using the ephemera, a chipboard sticker and one of the bigger chipboard frames.

The third card, which is my favorite, is a shaker card.  I used some of the leftover packaging to make a window to hold a bunch of the gorgeous shaker bits.  Those chipboard frames were just made to be shakers if you ask me ;)

Our final card uses those gorgeous butterfly stickers.  I love that they are virtually two pieces the the top piece being raised on the sides.  These will give your cards so much dimension!

Spellbinders Country Road Dies by Annie Williams

 

Hello there!  Welcome back to my blog!  I'm super excited to be sharing some of the dies from the new Country Road by Annies Williams line.  They are GORGEOUS, and I really did have the best time making some cards with these dies.  There is so much use in these, that I can see playing with them throughout the whole year!

My first card uses the Country Wheelbarrow and the Seasonal Décor dies, and I paired them up with the Holly Flourish embossing folder and the Dancin' Holidays sentiments.  I never pass up an opportunity to make a Christmas card, and I just love how this turned out!

My second card is a reflection of my favorite season which is Fall!  I used the Country Wheelbarrow, the Seasonal Décor, the Rustic Garden, and the Garden Builder dies.  The sentiment comes from the Love Never Fails set.

My final card is just sweet.  Naturally I had to make the kitty a Siamese, and I used the Rustic Garden and the Garden Builder sets.  I'm so happy with how this set of cards came out.  I love just die cutting a bunch of elements, coloring them up, and then putting them together to make some cards.  I do have a video to share how the barrel, the wheelbarrow, and the wheel are easily put together, and I also share how I made the first card.  You can see it here or over on my YouTube Channel.

Spellbinders May 2023 Quick & Easy Card Kit

 

The new Spellbinders Quick & Easy Card Kit is out for May 2023, and it's a very beautiful color palette.  I have 5 cards to share with you.

My first card is a flat shaker that utilizes some of the packaging with those gorgeous sprinkles that come in the kit.

The second card uses a few patterned papers with the ephemera and the chipboard stickers.

The third card was a bit more of a challenge for me.  Not only does it use some ephemera and patterned paper, but it uses the chipboard stickers and puffy stickers as well.

The fourth card is so soothing to me with that bluegreen woodgrain patterned paper.  That color palette is really something!

My final card was so fun, because I decided to make a whole background out of ampersands!  Talk about a fun card with some great texture.

Spellbinders Floral Friendship Collection

Hi friends!  Welcome back to my blog!  Today I'm sharing a couple of cards made with the Spellbinders Floral Friendship Collection.  This collection contains patterned papers, chipboard frames, ephemera, and lots more. 

My first card uses the Floral Friendship paper pad along with the Chipboard Frames, and I combined those with the Tweet Cardinal die set and the Mini Everyday Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil plates.

My second card uses that same paper pad and Chipboard frames, as well as the Mini Everyday Sentiments.  I decided to die cut some daisies using the Daisy Delight Garden Shutters dies.  I love how both of these turned out, and the color palette is so beautiful.  You must go check it out!

Spellbinders Quick & Easy Card Kit of the Month for April 2023

Hello and welcome to my blog!  Today I'm sharing a few cards I made using the Spellbinders Quick & Easy Card Kit for the month of April 2023.  This one has a springy color palette!

My first card uses some of the ephemera to make a background on a piece of cardstock panel.  The sentiment is one of the chipboard stickers.

My second card uses so many of the fun ephemera elements, and they are all popped up using the foam squares from the kit.  The sentiments come from the puffy stickers.

The third card uses a few different patterns from the patterned paper, and the house and balloon ephemera is popped up using foam squares.  The HB2U comes from the chipboard letters.

My fourth card is a fun mix of chipboard stickers and ephemera to make a 'Sweet 16' birthday card.

My final card focuses on the strawberry ephemera as well as the strawberry patterned paper, but it also uses chipboard stickers and puffy stickers for the sentiments.
