SC395 -- You're Just My Cup of Tea

I've been up since around 5:30 a.m. to head to the gym, and then I got to do a little stamping.  I may have to stick to that schedule since it certainly affords some stamping time :)  We all know how precious that is.  I peeked the Splitcoaststampers Sketch challenge, and paired it up with my July Simon Says Card Kit, which has the great Simon Says stamp set called Absolutely Delightful.  It also fits the Anything Goes Simon Says Blog challenge!

Papertrey July Blog Hop Challenge

This is my first time participating in the Papertrey Ink Monthly Blog Hop, and I am super excited about it!  We were given an inspiration photo with colors, and since I do not yet own any of the colors that PTI carries, I had to use what I had.  Isn't the inspiration photo pretty?

I used the the PTI set called Harvest Berries.  I just love that sentiment. . .especially the style of it.  Plus random stamping has always appealed to me.

MFT Guest Design Team Sketch

Happy Monday, crafty friends!  I had a lovely weekend with my family, and we even spent Saturday painting a house for a widow for House of Heroes.  It was so rewarding.  I had planned to do a little stamping, but this was definitely worth the time.  However, I did see that MFT is searching for a Guest Designer for the month of August, so I had to throw my hat in the ring :)

I inked up my A la Mode Lightbulb Moment for the sketch.  All of the A la Modes are so much fun to color.    I'm also really enjoying the faux stitching technique, so here it is again.  You should go grab a MFT stamp set and try out your hand at the sketch :)

Bedtime Christmas Dreams

 Yes, second post of the day. . .crazy, I know!  I have just had an idea in my head for days since I saw the There She Goes Stamps Challenge called Christmas in July!  Once I saw the sketch from iSpy Sketches, there was no denying that this card just had to be made.

I don't have a singel TSG Christmas set, which is really quite unfathomable.  I suppose now would be the time to remedy that since they are having a 15% off everything Christmas in July sale. . .hmmm.  Because I don't have a single Christmas set from TSG, I had to get creative in order to play along with this week's challenge.  I pulled out my Bombdiggity set (which really is da bomb, if you ask me), and colored my little crazy girl in Christmas jammies.  I'm actually addicted to coloring her hair. . .so fun.  THEN, since I don't have any Christmas sentiments from TSG, which makes sense since I pretty much already said that, I used my Polka Dot Pals 'dream' sentiment.

I actually am kinda in love with my card. . .because that Bombdiggity girl is just too cute!

Clearly Inspired Challenge #56

 

Happy Friday, fellow crafters!  It's the third Friday of the month, making it a Clearly Inspired Challenge Friday!  We are over at the new Clearly iStamp blog, and you certainly don't want to miss the latest challenge or inspiration!

This week the challenge is:

Get Wet

We want to see you make a project with wet images, use a wet technique, or even use products that make your project look wet like acetate or even some glossy glaze.

I had some fun with my project, but using the Scoops July featured digi along with some glossy glaze to make my ice cream look wet.  It's such an easy way to add smooth texture and dimension.
