A Non-Traditional Christmas Card

Good morning fellow bloggers and blog readers! Awwww it's September, and you'd think that would mean some cooler temps. It was 77 degrees at 5 this morning, but that's the South for ya! We're also gearing up to start practicing tonight for Fall Baseball around here. My son plays for Northern Little League, and while he wasn't in the Little League World Series, Northern's team did represent the Southeast Region there. They did amazing too! It's also Football season, and my team, the Nebraska Huskers, plays Western Kentucky today. Sadly, we don't live where we'll be able to watch it :(

Ok, onto my card. I made this for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch. She always has some awesome sketches over there. I wanted to make a Christmas card with some non-traditional colors. Before we know it Christmas will be here, and I need to start stockpiling my Christmas cards :) This card uses 2 new September releases from Clear Dollar Stamps called Jesus is the Reason & Blooming Background.
I love making the insides pretty too:
CDS Stamps: Jesus is the Reason & Blooming Backgrounds
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Black Soot distress ink
Paper: black, Peach Taffy, Cottonball White, BG Olivia
Copics: YR02, YG95
Accessories: scalloped edge punch, Sakura Clear Star Gelly Pen

We're off to go buy new baseball/softball shoes! I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Labor Day weekend.
