Brutus Monroe Blog Hop -- Decofoil

Hello Brutus Monroe Fans!  I'm back with a card for the Inspiration Team Blog Hop, and we were challenged to use DecoFoil.  This was a fun challenge, because I decided to combine some Brutus Monroe Toner Sheets - Carved with the Orange Sketch DecoFoil to make a shaker!  I cut some circles out of the Haunted Mansion paper, backed it with acetate, and then covered that panel with some foam tape that I doubled up.  The sentiment comes for the Trick or Treat stamp set, and was heat embossed using Sterling Sparkle embossing powder.

Brutus Monroe Blog Hop -- Anything Goes

Here there, and welcome back for another Blog Hop for the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team!  We were challenged with Anything Goes!  So I pulled out the Pumpkin Faces Stamp Set along with the Super Sentimental Stamp Set.  I stamped my pumpkins onto some Neenah Cream Cardstock and then colored them in with Arteza Colored Pencils.  I fussy cut them out and set them back in a frame that I cut out of Pickle Glitterstock.

I stamped some more pumpkins on the inside of my card and used a scrap of the Autumn Foliage Paper as well.  I love all of the dimension on this card, and the colors are so fun.

Brutus Monroe Blog Hop -- September Paper Pads

Hello friends, and welcome back for another Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Blog Hop!  We were challenged to use the brand new papers from the store, and let me tell ya. . .it was hard to choose which paper pack to grab from.  If you haven't seen the new papers, you have got to, because they are GORGEOUS!  

I finally settled on using the Autumn Foliage paper along with the Jars of Love stamp set.  These two just seemed meant to be.  I colored my images with Arteza EverBlend Markers, but decided to use a fairly simple layout, because I wanted those papers to really stand out.

Brutus Monroe Blog Hop -- October Subscription Items

Hello there!  Welcome back for another Blog Hop for the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team!  Today we are going to be showcasing the latest Subscription Products for the month of October.  The products I used for October are the Embossing Powder of the Month called Wicked, and the Stamp of the Month.

I decided to make some Halloween treat bags.  Both of my fangs were stamped using some Embossing Ink onto some Sidewalk Cardstock.  The green fangs were made with the Wicked Embossing Powder. . .so cool right?!  My lace background was made using a previous Die of the Month called Tile (but it is still available).

And check out the patterned paper that I used!  It's called Haunted Mansion and it is new as well!

Brutus Monroe Blog Hop -- Anything Goes

Happy Wednesday, fellow crafters!  I'm back with another Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Blog Hop, and this time it was an Anything Goes challenge.

I decided to ink up the Autumn Essentials Stamp set and use my Aqua Pigments to loosely paint the images.  I just love that border of pumpkins.  After stamping and painting, I backed it with some Tangerine Glitterstock and mounted it to a Lunch Bag Cardstock base.  The last bit of embellishment was to add some Nuvo Crystal Drops in the color Metallic Mustard Gold.

It may not feel like Fall out there, but I'm ready for it!

Brutus Monroe Blog Hop -- Decorative Details

Happy Wednesday, crafty friends!  I'm back with another card for the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Blog Hop.  We were challenged to use Decorative Details.  I decided to take the Die of the Month for September called, Flourish, and cut out a decorative detail from it to use to frame my images for the Trick or Treat set.  I used Charcoal Glitterstock and it worked beautifully!

Brutus Monroe Blog Hop -- September Subscription Items

Happy Wednesday, fellow crafters!  I'm back again with a card for this week's Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Blog Hop, and this week we were challenged to use the September Subscription items.  I chose to use the Stencil of the Month, the Stamp Club stamp, and the Embossing Powder of the Month.

These wine bottle tags came together so easily.  I sprayed my tags with some Distress Oxide Spray, and then embossed the Stencil image with the Embossing Powder of the Month.  I stamped the image using a watercolor technique in which you put your inks all over your image, and then spritz your image with some water before you stamp it.  When you stamp you'll end up with a watercolored look for your stamping. . .so cool.

Brutus Monroe Blog Hop -- Patterned Paper

Happy Wednesday, y'all!  I'm back for another Blog Hop Wednesday with Brutus Monroe, and this time we are using Patterned Papers.  I stamped the Alley Cat stamp onto some Rustic Flowers paper, and then stamped it again onto some Neenah Cream cardstock so that I could use my Arteza EverBlend Markers on the windows.  I fussy cut those out and attached them to my patterned paper.  The sentiment is from the Feathered Homes stamp set.

Brutus Monroe Blog Hop -- Anything Goes

Hey there crafty friends!  It's another Wednesday, and that means we are doing another Blog Hop with the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team!  This week we were challenged to make an Anything Goes card, so I decided to ink up a stamp I hadn't inked up yet.  This one is called the Birthday Bear, and that background in the Spiral Clouds.  I just love these two images together.

I stamped out my clouds using some Embossing Ink and then covered it with the Embossing Powder of the month - Gadgets and Gizmos.  My bear was stamped with the Raven Detail Ink, and then everything was colored with Aqua Pigments.  Those are just so fun to color with.  My sentiment is from the Tree of Thanks set.

Brutus Monroe Blog Hop -- Interactive Cards

Welcome back to my blog my crafty friends!  Today is the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Blog Hop, and we were challenged to make interactive cards.  I chose a shaker, because I just love shakers.  Seriously, if there is one within reach I can't seem to stop shaking them, lol.  

This card uses both the Paper Cranes set and the Feathered Friends set from Brutus Monroe.  I stamped my cranes onto some Heat Resistant Vellum and then ran them through my Xyron Sticker Maker, so that the adhesive wouldn't show through the vellum.  I'm so happy with how this turned out.  If you'd like to see how I made it, I have a video for you.

Brutus Monroe Blog Hop -- August Subscription Items

Hello there!  It's Wednesday, and y'all know what that means. . .Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Blog Hop time!  This time we were challenged to make cards using the August Subscription items.  All of the Subscription products are awesome, so I couldn't wait to get inky.

I used the Die of the Month - Tile, and cut out my background, and then embossed it with the Embossing Powder of the Month - Gadgets and Gismos.  I couldn't resist making a shaker, so I filled one of the Shaker Pouches with some sequins and things from my stash.  Those pouches make it so easy to make shakers.

The Steampunk Owl is the new Stamp of the Month, and I thought it looked so good embossed with the Embossing Powder of the Month.  To color it I used some Aqua Pigment in the color Penny.  This card was quite fun to make :)

Brutus Monroe Blog Hop -- Aqua Pigments

Hey everyone, and welcome back to my blog for another Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Blog Hop!  This week we were challenged to use Aqua Pigments, and I couldn't wait to play along.

I used the Aqua Pigment Paper along with the gorgeous Botanical Banners Stamp set.  I stamped my image using Embossing Ink, and then coated it with Raven Ultra Fine Embossing Powder.  That gorgeous image was colored using the Aqua Pigment colors in Coral, Orange, Yellow Green, and Brass.

Once I was done coloring and assembling the card, I stamped the roses one more time on the inside of the card.  It was stamped with the Embossing Ink to give it that watermark effect.

Brutus Monroe Blog Hop -- Anything Goes

Happy Wednesday everyone!  It's Blog Hop Wednesday for the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team, and our challenge this week was Anything Goes.  I pulled out my Grateful Stamp along with the gorgeous Fresh Squeeze 6x6 paper and did a little ombre stamping.

Once I was done doing the ombre stamping, I stamped over the top of it with Embossing Ink and then covered that with Icicle Embossing Powder for extra interest.  I'm so happy with how this one turned out :)

Brutus Monroe Blog Hop -- T.V. Movies

Hey there!  Welcome back for the weekly Inspiration Team Blog Hop for Brutus Monroe!  This week we were challenged to come up with a card that was inspired by a T.V. show or movie.  My card is based off of my guilty pleasure show. . .Married at First Sight, lol.  

I used the beautiful set called Special Day.  I stamped it onto my background, and also onto some shimmer white cardstock that I had in my stash from years ago.  I fussy cut the dress out and popped it up using foam tape.  I added a small strip of Charcoal Glitterstock to the side, and stamped my sentiment onto some Heat Resistant Vellum using Embossing Ink and then covered that with Mic Drop Embossing Powder.  I tried my hand at the Glue Sponge, once again, and I think I really like it. It adhered the vellum nicely to the front.

Brutus Monroe Blog Hop -- Subscription Items

Hey y'all!  And welcome back to my blog.  I'm here for another Wednesday Blog Hop with the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team.  This week we were challenged to use Subscription items.  I chose to use the Die of the Month, which is frankly just gorgeous.  I cut it out of the Lunch Box Cardstock, while my background was made using the new Night Shift Embossing Powders that were just released.  I love how they shift from that black as you look at it head on, to the various colors as you turn it in and out of the light.
